Curious about removing the short stroke kit. Reason for adding them is to reduce the air volume but still producing the same amount of power and aids in smoothing out the shot/recoil alongside the synthetic guides etc. But I must admit compared to what I've got to do with my hw97k the tx series is alot simpler to work on.
Nice video mate. With regards to the 'rough' finish on the piston, I don't think it matters because it runs on the delrin bearings so the main body of it is not in contact with anything. Also the compression tube on mine is a bugger to get out, it certainly doesn't slide out with the piston and requires quite some persuasion..any ideas?. Having said that it shoots superb/smoothly so it's not much of a problem.
We're do you get the welsh willy kits from a have tried every were with no joy any were any help would be great , good video by the way a love the tx range a have a tx200hc and a tx200sr both 22 .
Hi , may i ask a question on here, how do you tell which TX200 modle i have,as mine has a 12.5 inch barrel with no modulator fitted ,it is a long stroke piston, i cant find the model number anywhere just the standard AA tx200 on the side can you help me .
Hi, I wondered why you removed the spacer/weight that sits inside the piston. With this out there would be quite a bit less preload on the spring and Air Arms would have not put it there if it was not needed. I suspect this also adds weight to the piston assembly and so would effect the bounce of the piston at the end of its stroke caused by the air remaining in the end of the cylinder. It is not surprising that there was a lot of preload with the original setup as the short stroke piston head and the top hat spacer all add to the compression of the spring.
+WILF Welford - I am just experimenting to get the shot cycle to feel how I like it. I have tried a variety of things so far and I will try a few more I reckon.
confused by all this so called tuning of the tx200! I was recently told by a well known gun Smith that you can't do anything to a tx200 to make it shoot any smoother than it already does as it's as good as can be out the box
+gym rat - it's all about the shot cycle. For instance Nick Gibney makes an alloy piston with an O ring head for a TX200 that makes the shot cycle very snappy and quick with almost no sight picture movement. Amazing to shoot! Try a few tuned guns and feel the difference - every tune actually feels different in some way.
+paulseekingtruth - hello mate. I think I have already answered you on facebook but the Welsh Willy kit w etc etc as fine. This was the first one he made for a TX so I was his experiment and he made a good job of it. All the tuning kits are good though - you are perfectly safe to get them froma ny of the names eg Tinbum, Paul Short - they all make a great job of them.
Forget the silencer. The noise from the bear trap will scares off the crows every time!

Good tutorial man!

Hi
Thank you for your video 👏
May I aske you about

Great Video. Thanks

Hang on to your SR Mate cost a fortune second hand its one of the best spring piston air rifles ever made
hi ,is it harder to fit a ox spring than a welsh willy, thanks chris
no mate - a spring is a spring. The only thing that makes them hard to fit is if they have a lot of preload and the TX doesn't so no problem

How do Iubricate my tx200 hc? Do o have to take it apart? I'm new so if I take it apart I wont know how to put it back

Its not a tuning kit its a replacement kit ask Tony Wall Sandwell field sports its what he said mine shoots great as standard
hi,
how did you get on with the Welsh willy kit, i thinking of putting the same kit in my tx200hc,
