    You should get a pulley hoist attached to the rafters to help pick up stuff alone.

    you are putting in work. i purchased my first boat for 350$ , only did new flooring and center consile and we slapped a older 50hp merc, let me tell you that the end result is awesome!!! once the boat is in the water it was all worth it

      At the time it was an older phantom side console but converted it into center console. Now I have a 1996 16.5ft aqua sport cc

    Nice...Awsome job man...You are proper thurrow ....hehe...would recomend peanut buttering 1" pvc pipe drains under the bulk head gutters just to ensure proper sealing....or something of that sort...But you're probably way ahead of me...Lol....awesome series...Thanks...

    • @Project2Potential
      @Project2Potential  3 роки тому +1

      I did think about that. i'm just worried that the pipe would eventually clog with debris down the road. what do you think?

      @@Project2Potential if you make the hole bigger or use the pvc as a mold...I dont believe it should be a issue....can always poke it or something...heheheh....just dont do the pour foam for flotation...water gets trapped in voids and cant drain...I would just add floor inspection doors for access...

    Nice! Im doing a boat restoration similar to this one over the winter. Got the floor and transom done and faired, prepping for paint right now and hopping to paint within the next couple weeks.

    I’ve watch majority of your videos up to now and I’m impress as to how far you’ve come along knowledge and skill wise. I can’t wait to see your next video.
    One thing I did noticed or maybe I may have missed it in the video is that the stringers didn’t look like it was glassed. I’m just afraid the area where the water drains back will come into contact with exposed area of the stringer later rotting it out again. Hopefully, it was glassed in and I just missed it.
    Keep it coming because I want to see the end result too.

      thanks for the encouragement. this past video i released shows the process of glassing in the stringers. hopefully the end result will come sooner then later!

    Top two favourite moments:
    1. The jigsaw slowly sliding off the board while you're sanding.
    2. All the random crap you stacked on the stringers for weight
    😂

      Haha, it was more nerve-racking in real life! As I was sanding I kept an eye on that jig saw and thought to myself... I better get these stringers all finished before that jigsaw falls to the floor!

    Did you seal the underside of the wood with anything where you cut your notch for hull drainage, (at 3:26) since you decided not to put any pvc pipe, etc. in the notches?

      I believe I just coated that part of the stringers in fiberglass resin

    A little late to the party.. but, what kind of fiber glass resin are you using? Looking to make similar repairs but have not worked with fiberglass before.

      haha welcome to the party! glad you could join, for this part I used the Total Boat 5:1 Epoxy mixed with wood flour and White Glass Microspheres. I bought them on amazon

    How long is this boat? it looks a lot shorter than mine and mines a 15 foot

    • @Project2Potential
      @Project2Potential  Рік тому +1

      Yes, this boat is registered as 14feet. But is more like 13.8 I think.
