I bought a Discover 25/1.8 and it’s identical as well, same price as the 7 artisans here in Italy.
So is my Neewer 25mm f1.8 (unusual as Neewer is normally rebranding Meike stuff). Same price as 7Artisans.
The hengiya is the same as newyi 25mm, which can be found for as little as 15-20 usd. I really like mine!

To be fair to the manufacturer you should at least show a few shots(does not take too much of your time) comparing the 2 lenses in terms of images output, only then can you deduce the 2 lenses are in fact identical or maybe just similar visually. If you don't do that what's the point of buying another similar looking lens and also pay more money for it.
There is no point in paying more for the same thing, which is why I wouldn't recommend it.

7 artisans just released a f1.2 version of their 35mm prime. Looks pretty promising for around $150 on Amazon. Are you going to test it because that would be awesome.

I've had 2 copies over the last couple of years. The 1st got returned because of QC defects and the 2nd recently arrived and it's so much better!

I found the very cheap lenses on ebay are fine for some fun photography, they're even a bit sharp sometimes.

There is an even cheaper series of 25mm 1.8, totally brandless, they are in native 25mm CCTV mount. Usually come with an adapter plate for E-mount, Fuji, 4/3, etc. Look for 25mm 1.8 on ebay. They go for $25-35 or so. One "brand" to look for is Pixco. I suspect they are the same, or very nearly so.
I firmly believe you are mistaking with *25mm F1.4 CCTV lens* that same exact lens comes in various names, all the same with price range of $16-30. That lens is entirely different from this. It is made for much much smaller sensors of security cameras thus provides a rather sharp central image at wide aperture but at same focus setting, provides an out of focus peripheral field of image. Thus it can isolate a face in portrait form surrounding in a very strange but desirable way (A flaw known to occur with some Helios Russian lenses that is very desirable by portrait photographers) and actually that lens is a totally different beast and host of features, at dirt price. I hope to see a review of that lens here.
BTW the names I have encountered for that same lens so far, includes:

and I bet if you look around, you find other different names for it.
Yet it worth many times of its price, to have some fun, when used with the right cheap adapter for camera that in many cases is a part of package deal, at same dirt low price!

I have a no name chinese one - cost me 57$ and it is exactly the same - just different factories and sellers on different ecommerce sites. I got mine on aliexpress.

Some of your links don't make any sense, to me.
Looking to finally drop a dime on a decent entry-level camera. Thinking about the sony a6000 because it's quite compact and lightweight. However, I'm seeing some deals for the canon t7i for the same price (around $500). I'm kind of worried about spending that money on something 4 years old vs something that's 7 months old, especially when form factor is the main selling point to me. Also, because I will probably need some more money to invest in lenses down the line and sony's selection isn't the largest/cheapest. what do you think? is the a6000 still worth it in (almost) 2018?
A6000 is still a top notch Camera. I just got mine last week and im super happy with the results so far. For Landscape and Travel it doesnt get much better. At least till they release an update. I already owned a Canon DSLR but i never brought it with me because it was too heavy
