For those who falsely imagine the parenting to be a model to follow, lets not be blindly fanatical. The warning were also raised with a eurocentric view of the world. When all your idols are gringos and you prioritize the imposed culture considering it less important than ones own, that is a colonized mentality. Its no wonder they had to hash out a response to those who were justly and rightfully criticizing them for their malinchista tendencies
The girls had been playing together for 2 years at this time. Alejandra had only been playing bass for 2 years. She stared bass lessons at the age of 7. Their musical training started on piano and they participated in recitals at the ages of 5 or 6.
They are not just playing it, they're slaying it! They were performing together for a few years before this recording, if I remember correctly Ale was 7 and playing bass for about a month or so when they decided to form a band. In the six part minidocumentary 'Mayday in the Making', they and their parents talk about how The Warning came to be and is well worth watching. Most people are not just fans because of the music but also the story and personalities behind it.
The studio version is used on the Official Music Video featuring Alessia Cara. The Live version is at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (in English, the Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City) on 08/29/2022. Those two versions feature slightly different arrangements from one another, but RADICALLY different from the original!
I remember seeing this on yt, I think it was released back in 2014? I thought it was great and now look where they are, and they have a long successful career to go yet, three very talented sisters, The Warning!
Thanks for the reaction. If you do their recent version for the Blacklist album, do the live at Teatro Metropolitan for the total experience -- always better live with The Warning.
Nice Reaction! Someone from The Ellen Show saw this and they got invited to be on her show and Ellen got Target to pay for them to go to Berklee College of Music in Boston. Pau and Ale were too young for their Summer Program, so Berklee told them to send them a video of them playing and they did a show for their school classmates (Liceo de Monterrey) and Berklee allowed them in based on their skill level. Around this time was also when they started writing their own songs.
IIRC, Ale had been playing bass for less than a year when they recorded this. And yes, their cover of Enter Sandman is the very first track on Metallica's "Blacklist" album. They invited a ton of artists to cover various Metallica songs, telling them they could do anything they wanted to the song short of altering the lyrics. The Warning was the only band to truly understand the assignment. More, they recorded the official video during COVID lockdown in something like a week or 10 days while collaborating with Alessia Cara (who was in Canada). You'll also want to check the live version from the Teatro Metropolitan concert. It's quite a bit different from the studio version. Darker. Heavier.
Their 2014 Enter Sandman cover wasn't the first that was put on UA-cam. It is the one that got noticed and went viral. Maybe the earlier ones weren't made public at the time? I'm not sure about those details, but the earlier covers are on the band's website They begin in late 2013. Their parents were both music lovers, though not musicians. Daniela and Paulina began piano lessons together at ages 6 and 4. While the piano lessons were classically oriented they were also exposed to the music their parents loved, which was Rock. When Harmonix released the Rock Band video game dad bought it for them, and they became obsessed with the game. The Villarreal sisters decided very early that they wanted to play music for a living. Dany wanted to play guitar and Pau wanted to play drums. Their parents, instead of telling them to be sensible, helped them make that dream come true. Papa sold his vintage motorcycle to buy equipment and build a practice studio in the basement. He had some expertise as a sound engineer and had been involved with a recording studio but got out of that business after he got married and began raising a family. If his daughters wanted to be musicians then he was going to help make that happen. Youngest sister Alejandra followed the same pattern, learning piano first before choosing to play bass. With that choice the sisters quickly realized that they could play together as a band. The girls at the time they recorded Enter Sandman were already on their way. Daniela and Paulina had about 6 years of lessons on their chosen instruments by this time. Youngest sister Alejandra had been playing bass for around two years but was progressing even faster than her sisters. They had been practicing as a band for most of those two years. The Enter Sandman video was recorded in July 2014. The sisters first played together in public in December 2012, at a school Christmas event.
Today they are 19,22, 24yrs old. In this 9,12,14 yrs old. They are the 1st. Track on Metallica's Blacklist Album with Alessia Cara..The official music video is brilliant. The Live at Teatro Metropolitan cdmx is awesome.. From what I heard, someone left the basement door unlocked and they escaped the Cave..Now they are running wild , melting stages all over the planet..✌️
The girls played this cover in public at around the same time as this video , at Nachos + Gangas Mayo 2014 , which is worth a look at , plus they sung their first Spanish song there called , Me voy a tomar , la noche . This venue is hardly ever played by a reactor, but well worth reacting to . Cheers fella .Oh and the person who said that this cover sucked is a prick !
This video was their second cover they put out on you. Their first was AC/DC's *Back in Black* with Pau singing lead. The Warning did an *"reimagine *Enter Sandman* with Alessia Cara (Canadian Pop singer) for Metallica's 30th Anniversary of their Black Album charity project called *"Metallica's Blacklist Album".* A project where 50 plus artist did a cover of a song from Metallica's Black album. Each artist could do what they want with the song *EXCEPT THEY CANNOT CHANGE THE LYRICS.* Better start with the official music video of *Enter Sandman w/ Alessia c.* Then do The Warbing's live version from Teatro Metropolitan.
2014 *Enter Sandman* cover : for a trio, much less a young trio, this is fantastic! slightly different but a full wall of sound filled with raw power and grit... the child's prayer with Pau (drums) and Ale (bass) is beautiful and takes me back to my own youth and bedtimes with one of my parents coaching me along... the power of Pau on the drums, Ale's driving bass line, and Dany rocking out on guitar with her James Hetfield scowl are... whoa! then you think who needs two guitars when you have one Dany? 😹 also, i'll note that the wall behind the camera is a full mirror so all the girls can see themselves playing... this was done so they could work on their stage presence... the wall on Ale's (bass) side also has a window into the equipment side of their studio known as "The Warning Cave" or "The Cave" for short... they were 14 (Dany on guitar), 12 (Pau on drums), and 9 (Ale on bass) when this was recorded... yes! this is where they went viral, out of the blue! 10 years ago... i mean 🤯 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
You need to watch the performance of their version of this song (in teatro Metropolitan CDMX), Metallica invited them to be part of the "Blacklist Album" which is a tribute for the Black Album because of it's 30 anyversary where about 50 different artist were asked to make their own versions of that Metallica work, that album was launched in 2021 and our beloved The Warning is part of it with their own version of Enter Sandman wich is just outstanding
Today they are 19 22 24yrs old..the new verison is absolutely brilliant..from what I understand, Dad sold his Motorcycle (Harley) to set up The Warning Cave..Their basement.. I couldn't even get my parents to buy a basketball when I was a kid.. Yes 1st track Metallica Blacklist Album
I saw your Revenant reaction just now and if you're looking for another acoustic song from them I would recommend Crimson Queen from the Queen of the Murder Scene album. The performance at the Lunario is just perfect
The music video for their reimagined version that is on the metallica black list album, and the live version of it is on the Teatro Metropolitan show are epic. It's a complete reimagining of the song, as Metallica asked for.
The three of them are piano classical trained, that is how started the love for music and once they got the Rock Band video game that was it! and the rest is history.
Wow, when you said ~can you imagine if the didn't post it on you-tube what would have happened? Its like a time travel episode from a Sci Fi movie. The smallest actions we take determine if we go on to greatness or disappear in the sands of time.
Ale was a child and had been playing bass months not years. And the channel was originally the Dads and he posted everything on it. If you go back far enough you get them as toddlers playing classical piano. So yeah, it existed so Dad could show off the kids doing kids stuff, which included piano, sax and bass, drums and guitar.
Pausing the video and posting my comment after he says "This is bad ass!" I'm just WAITING with anticipation to see his reaction when the guitar solo hits!!!
This was suggested to me soon after it came out. I thought "yeah, what can these little girls do with Metallica?!" But I clicked on it. A few minutes later I was looking for what else they had done! 🔥🔥🔥🔥⚡⚡🤘🤘
Dude, I'm going to be honest and don't take it personally but I've never been a fan of rap. I'm an old 80s big hair musician but I have to confess something. The way that you called out a commenter for disrespect for these 3 ladies was honorable, impressive, and respected. That in itself has earned a subscribe from me. I have followed TW since they did this video and I knew that they were something special. Thanks bro
The OMV on Metallicas black list has Alessia Cara ft. as a singer and is a collaboration that turned out great ! That said Teatro Metropolitan is my fav. 🤘⚡️🤘
What some reactors do is a back to back reaction in one take. The second version, we call The Warning version is a completely metamorphed version of Enter Sandman, with Alessia Cara. A must watch.
If you want to check out another great performance of their whfn they were still very young there's their live performance of Muse's Hysteria at Liceo. That video is a great showcase of Alejandra's talent as a bass played, who nailed thelat song's iconic bass lines at age 10 without missing a note or a beat. Paulina herself ssys she never once heard Alejandra miss a beat once. As in, never.
The rearrangement of their new version, written for the Metallica Black List album, is literally mindblowing!! Teatro Metropolitan 2022. let's check it, you don't regret! 😘
Ah, you're listening to the wrong one. They did Metallica cover Atlas Rising up there in the same attic. That's the best one, so fucking raw,ALE'S bass. OMFG!!!!
Ale is still a teenager until December (2024). Dany is 24 & Pau is 22. They were far too talented for people their age. Apart from Ale's vocal bit (her voice was too immature) this was top quality music. No critisism of Ale or her parents as their intention was for this video was not what it blew up into.
I think all countries that dont have legal maturity at 18 have at 21. As such Alejandra will only be a full adult everywere in the world at mid december 2026.
Wow, someone said it sucked? 😂😂 Ok troll, post the link of YOUR cover of this song from when you were 12. Or any song…? Doesn’t have to have over 25 million views like this one… just your best effort so we can compare your talent level to theirs.
Isn’t it awesome!!! I saw it all those years ago, and thought “It’s “Cuteness” overload! Yet, the skills are incredible! So, I bought their 1st record . To support awesome / cuteness. Then I played it 😐😦 Every song was good. 😮 Now, here we are 11 years later. And, every song is good. Four records in. 🤘🕊❤️🤘⚡️⚡️⚡️
This is just beautiful, I don't know who said this sucks. But the haters are going to hate. These girls are simply amazing. I ♥The Warning ♥♥♥ This girls.
The live performance of their cover of Enter Sandman st the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX in August 2022 is THE ONLY VERSION you nerd to know of their cover version. It is better than the album version simply because The Warning excel at playing live. The best version of their songs is alwsys found on a good video quality of a live performance.
To the person/s saying it sucked etc ok as AR said that’s your right and opinion but I have to ask how could you not at least have some appreciation for what three young girls were able to do and appreciate the amount of practice they must’ve put in to getting this good? If I was a hardcore Metallica fan that didn’t like this song but I heard that the band did and they liked it so much they invited them to do another cover and then put it on their album! I would be compelled to take another listen and try to have a more open mind.
They've never played this version again. What you will experience is what they made for the revisited Black Album. The live at Teatro Metropolitan is the ultimate result. They are grown women, doing their take on a classic.
The live version at the Teatro Metropolitan that is the best version of their take on this song. As is always the case with this band the live versions are better. More energy.
For those who falsely imagine the parenting to be a model to follow, lets not be blindly fanatical. The warning were also raised with a eurocentric view of the world. When all your idols are gringos and you prioritize the imperialist imposed culture considering it less important than ones own, that is a colonized mentality. Its no wonder they had to hash out a response to those who were justly and rightfully criticizing them for their malinchista tendencies
45 years old Mexican here... Watafak are you talking about!? Your colonized (by the "aztecs") mind has no idea about México and it's diversity. They are from Monterrey, Nuevo León; I am from Tampico, Tamaulipas; both States bordering Texas, where my grandfather was from (Giddings). I grew up listening to Javier Solis, Pedro Infante, José Alfredo Jiménez, Huapangos, Mariachi, Boleros, Rancheras, Música Norteña, Texana, Soul, Blues, Disco, Pop, Rock, House...Jean Michel Jarre, Kitaro, Vangelis, etcétera. I abhor people from México like you, rotten fruits spoiling our diverse and beautiful culture, full of lovely, sympathetic, friendly and truly open minded and open heart human beings. And very proud of our culture and family; we support and care for our families. The Villarreal Vélez family is family of the Vargas Villanueva family, my family. Too much family but here in México we are like that. You and another bunch are the exception. You may not agree with someone but don't fuck around and denigrate no one. I have lots of bros with family heritage original from this land, before Europeans came. While they love to preserve their folklore, they appreciate Arts and Music as something Universal (not nationalistic crap); they are open minded, open eyes, open ears...and many enjoy listening to "Enter Sandman", "Another Brick in the Wall", "Light my Fire" and Snoop Dogg as well. In this region of México we have a rich heritage, from here and from a faraway land and time. We are indigenous from everywhere...but neither from here nor from there. Americans (continent, not a country), Europeans, Semites (Jews and Arabs) and Galactics. México is and has always been multiethnic, flavorful and spicy. As a proud Mexican, I have much love and respect to the enigmatic culture of the Toltecas and Olmecas; the amazing knowledge of nature and it's medicine from Zapotecas and Huicholes; the astronomical vision of the Mayas and the bravery of the Mexicas. Aztecs are mythological, Mexicas are historical. Then Europeans came, mainly from the Iberian peninsula, tough Spaniard warriors first and a melting pot after. Iberians, Celts, Phoenicians, Romans, Visigoths, Jews, Arabs, Amazigh...they were all part of the history and conformation of Spain. In another words, we are like the enchiladas you love so much! But if you don't like the analogy, don't put cheese on your enchiladas then. And my Mexican feeling is that you may occupy this land but I am not going to leave (or I will come back) because Earth doesn't belong to no one; you may conquer my heart but never my mind, you can't break my spirit. I can love you to Death. I can fight you to Death. Open your mind bro, open your arms...we Mexicans like hugs. But if not, then... Vete a la verga a chingar a otro lado! Be proud of your culture and heritage but don't be an aztecnazi.
They were 14, 12, and 9 during this performance. Insane!!
Luis and Mony (mom and dad) should write a book on parenting. The world needs more kids like the three they raised.
not only are they extremely talented, but they are the some of the greatest humans on earth. they were definitely raised right.
heck yes
The phrase "God-tier parenting" has been seen in comments.
I can’t imagine being the parent to one. But all three?
For those who falsely imagine the parenting to be a model to follow, lets not be blindly fanatical. The warning were also raised with a eurocentric view of the world.
When all your idols are gringos and you prioritize the imposed culture considering it less important than ones own, that is a colonized mentality.
Its no wonder they had to hash out a response to those who were justly and rightfully criticizing them for their malinchista tendencies
a great example of the "Butterfly Effect",, the file was too big for email,,soooo.we all BENEFIT!!
The girls had been playing together for 2 years at this time. Alejandra had only been playing bass for 2 years. She stared bass lessons at the age of 7.
Their musical training started on piano and they participated in recitals at the ages of 5 or 6.
Kirk Hammett actually commented the drummer kicks maximum ass. And James posted this and said how cool little girls playing metallica.
There is a video of Dany, Pau and Ale reacting to this performance and picking it apart. It's hilarious. "Play that wah-wah girl!"
Kirk Hammett said, and I quote: "The drummer kicks maximum ass"😁😁
Lars says: "mehh"... ;-P
Need to react to their live version from Teatro Metropolitan show. It’s a must watch after watching this one!!!!!
The Teatro Metropolitan CDMX version is outstanding
I remember seeing this on yt, I think it was released back in 2014? I thought it was great and now look where they are, and they have a long successful career to go yet, three very talented sisters, The Warning!

That's right. Ale, at age 9, wrote "Take Me Down".
IIRC, Ale had been playing bass for less than a year when they recorded this.

You just went DEEP in to their history 😃 It’s incredible how well documented their story has been! Agreed, that is a must watch!
This video was their second cover they put out on you. Their first was AC/DC's *Back in Black* with Pau singing lead.
The Warning did an *"reimagine *Enter Sandman* with Alessia Cara (Canadian Pop singer) for Metallica's 30th Anniversary of their Black Album charity project called *"Metallica's Blacklist Album".*

I 2nd this! Dunno why everyone's requesting the live versions 1st? I fully support doing them AFTER the official video!
2014 *Enter Sandman* cover :

Just adding that I've heard covers of this song from college/garage bands in their 20s & 30s that aren't nearly as good as this!
Just wanna suggest doing the official video with Alessia Cara *BEFORE* any other live versions
when you watch you will understand. Great video!
Every time I see this video and see where they are today I get emotional and feel like a proud uncle!!🤘⚡️
Another great cover is Pau singing Radiohead’s Creep.
Wow, when you said ~can you imagine if the didn't post it on you-tube what would have happened? Its like a time travel episode from a Sci Fi movie. The smallest actions we take determine if we go on to greatness or disappear in the sands of time.
Go for the Teatro Metropolitan live performance of the new cover.

Rockstars from the very start! This is what happens when you combine talent, passion, an insane work ethic and two amazing parents!
Ale’s posture at the end is priceless!
This was suggested to me soon after it came out. I thought "yeah, what can these little girls do with Metallica?!" But I clicked on it. A few minutes later I was looking for what else they had done! 🔥🔥🔥🔥⚡⚡🤘🤘
How can you not be amazed at their talent
Only Swifties say they suck. Can’t stand authenticity and talent.
Yeah, 26 million views...LMAO

I'm really looking forward to seeing your reaction to their new reimagined version of it. The Teatro Metro version is peak.
The version they created for Metallica's 30th anniversary Black Album was played at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX. You should check it out for comparison.

Then there's the one from a year-and-a-half before that, which no one ever reacts to.
They've got a lot of covers published on UA-cam. My favorite is The Pretender by Foo Fighters.
Here is a good one. Jackson Browne performing "Running On Empty" (Live 1979)
OMFG!!!!
I think they did it a year or 2 after this one
Atlas rising will always be the best cover they did as youngsters
The song is "Atlas RISE" not Rising. Pfft!
Yes in the "basement", Warning Cave. That is a good one but the Dakota Bar is even better.
That's their basement!
The Warning are a Phenomenon ❤ like no other 😊
Ale is still a teenager until December (2024). Dany is 24 & Pau is 22. They were far too talented for people their age. As Dany said watching this a decade later..... "Work that Wah Girl!!" 🤟🙂🤘
Este trío de rock siempre a sido fabuloso ,gran talento y calidad ,The Warning
Wow, someone said it sucked? 😂😂 Ok troll, post the link of YOUR cover of this song from when you were 12. Or any song…? Doesn’t have to have over 25 million views like this one… just your best effort so we can compare your talent level to theirs.
Yeah, incredible....they are out there though....😂😂😂😂
Now you need to react to the Teatro Metropolitan version which is totally bad ass!!
It’s closing in on 26 million views.
Awesomeness!!!😊
Always react to the live version when it comes to The Warning.
Isn’t it awesome!!! I saw it all those years ago, and thought “It’s “Cuteness” overload! Yet, the skills are incredible! So, I bought their 1st record . To support awesome / cuteness. Then I played it

Five. An EP, and four LPs, as well as one standalone single.
Tidal Rising, Tedx Talks 2016,2017
This is just beautiful, I don't know who said this sucks. But the haters are going to hate.
These girls are simply amazing. I ♥The Warning ♥♥♥ This girls.
The next version of Enter Sandman you should see is the live Teatro version from 2022
The live Teatro version will blow your mind...it's not really a cover...
You need to do the live concert version. Make sure toads watches it too. 😭
Ren and Chris Webby did drop a track Baggage
There is a hilarious video on UA-cam of The Warning reacting to this song
They've never played this version again. What you will experience is what they made for the revisited Black Album. The live at Teatro Metropolitan is the ultimate result. They are grown women, doing their take on a classic.
they are cute!!!!!!!!! And insanely talented!
Tenés que reaccionar a la versión de estudio con Alessia cara y a la versión live del teatro metropolitan. Saludos !
Pau was already better than Lars at 12
Locura!!! Las mini Wawas
There is also a video version with Alessia Cara singing in
It was from the second of two nights at the Troubadour. I was there! What a surprise when they brought Alessia out on stage!
F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C.
The live version at the Teatro Metropolitan that is the best version of their take on this song. As is always the case with this band the live versions are better. More energy.

How have you made it this far into The Warning and we have not seen Choke? Probably their most popular and played song.
🤘🤘🤘
Their dad sold his Harley Davidson in order to buy his girls the equipment they needed!
⚡️🤘🔥
Listen to “Dark Skies” from Sleep Token.
🤘🏻⚡️🔥
I hope any adult that says this sucks doesn't coach little league. What a rediculous comment. These kids smashed this cover better than many adults.
toads was an idiot, ha!
They are children (wearing jelly sandals) in their basement with one less guitar than Metallica and they melted faces!
Actually, listen to the newer version, it's way better as they're grown women now
React on Nepalese song. #yamabuddha's songs #yo_prasanga
Hermano, si yá empezabas a amar a nuestras Diosas del Rock The Warning, después de esté video no las olvidarás nunca y las amarás más que hasta ahora!. Saludos y bendiciones desde Monterrey México 😃👍👍👍👍
First 😊
For those who falsely imagine the parenting to be a model to follow, lets not be blindly fanatical.
🤘🤘
