I would gut those buses for everything. Saw so much good reusable stuff.
Enjoy your content brother. You are very wise in your work, nearly always. Demo jobs are always a good time to use some gloves. I realize your hands can take the abuse, but why put them through it if you don't have too. You got to take care of what you have.
Between all the toxic dust and possibly putting out your back I don’t know if that was worth it… I do admire your work ethic though Rich!
Demo work is the Best time to wear gloves too. Why does he hate his hands so much when they are so gifted? :)
What toxic dust?
@@seanmckay3392 dirt/dust and foam, carpet, wood particles from cutting. Possibly harmful on a small scale
All those hounds were condemned. Every bus in the fleet except 16 in the Canadian fleet were grounded. Thats why greyhound folded up.
🤔 Ritch you made that look so easy 😂🤣😂 in all honesty it's a smart move to recycle some stuff from the scrapyard for a couple of reasons #1 the cost #2 waiting for orders to arrive....
You'd need a digger to rip the bus completely apart to get the cables they definitely built them well
I remember ripping fuel line out of a brand new motor coach bus because tunnel assemblers (the tunnel is what rich was ripping open) installed the wrong fuel hose. Those busses were mostly built in Winnipeg and then finished in the states as per some dumb nafta agreement.
Dude nice job salvaging that wire thats what it’s all about
Haha at the welland joke, Cheers form jordan station, love your videos!
That was WAY funnier than i expected! 🤣🤣
Just find a guy who looks like they’re 60 (actual age 27) riding a BMX bike with a backpack and have him do it! He’s a pro!
MOTORAMMA!!!!! I hope it happens this year. Been goin since it was “SpeeedORamma back in the day. Love the channel Rich.

Grab a load of those 8d batteries. Bit of descaling and you can power your shop for days.
LOL
If your dedicated and know what your looking for it’s worth it!
If your trying to remove it from a bus. Tie a chain on the wire you will mess up about a foot but the other 25 foot is good tie it to to your truck and pull it after you unbolt the furthest end it will come out been there done that
I've always wanted one of those big PREVOST rigs.
hardwork pays off, good job man
It's crazy how thick DC wire needs to be for longer lengths and higher Amps.
Its not so much AC vs DC as it is 12V vs 240V.
12V AC would need the same cable size as 12V DC
down here in Merika' , 3-4 scrap-methers could strip one of those buses in 30 mins or less. It looked like you guys were having a good time, at least it wasnt snowing lol
My man put the work in on that ole Greyhound lol
That's nuts, you're a mad man! I would of just bought the cable lol
Future bus projects in the works down the road? Toy hauler? Combine harvester to snow blower conversion.
7:30 Don't worry Rich, the asbestos in that flooring will stop the fire from getting to you lol
Wow that’s good way to get copper lol. I’m in London I may take a drive to the scrap yard local here n see about buses
This is how I did all my Car Audio systems with thick cable. $13.00 bucks for battery cable. They did not say how long it had to be! Also. I need to pick up a double decker bus. Would be so cool!
Not only does "mining cable" get you something, it saves on gym membership.
Full of goodness, given 2 or 3 days on a couple buses to dismantle you got several grand in usable material/parts .
