    I am a gout patient too. I tried a new diet now: not eating white bread (or any bread), no sweet, no soda, no sweet fruits. It help me to loss weight by 15%, normal blood pressure, and no serious gout flare. Minor gout flare happens, with colchicine medication, the flare goes quickly within days (it was in weeks before). Also, you could eat low serving high prune food/meat but strictly for no wine/beer. High carb/sugary food (bread/cereal/muffin etc) and sweet fruits create a lot of uric acid causing gout flare, so unfortunately many gout patients do not know. Dear friends, go for a low carb/no sugar diet for preventing this pain disease. I must say even doctors who are not quite understand this disease thoroughly. Not eating any high prune foods are inhuman and unrealistic, but a low carb diet is perfectly easy going.

    I've had gout for 6+yrs and I'm STILL learning about certain foods that I'm eliminating from my diet. Red Meat, all "shell fish" (shrimp, lobster, no catfish, sardines, I really don't have any bad reaction from tuna once all my ingredients are added), no spinach, colliflower, 🥦 neither!, everybody body's different. For me no pork, or VERY VERY little! NO orange juice nor oranges, grapefruits nor grapefruit juice. And back to fish, I eat ALOT of white fish! As for chicken, the white meat works best for me, I've noticed that the dark triggers my gout...and please excuse me people for being all over the place with this. Tomatoes are a BIGG NO NO!!! I have a sweet tooth but I really watch how much I eat now! I can go on for awhile with this but I'll stop cause I feel like I'm rambling (sorry people)....so much I wanna/need to say however...

      Please speak on. Mine seems to be brought on with breads, yeast and diuretics in medicines. I take 4 tart cherry pills every 6 hours. Cherry juice helps, I weaken it down, being a diabetic and I have hypertension. Cherries help, any form. Jardiance brought on a bad, bad case. This medicine is recalled any way. I see why. Generic form of alliplrolinol, the worst case I ever had..

      I'm a BIGG fan of my emergency med "indomethacin!" It really really helps/works for w/I have flare-ups that's on its way to turning into 5/7 days of pure pain agony! Please ask your Dr for this prescription and if it's okay for you to take, you can/will thank me later 🤗...please keep me posted! PS...I've been doing alot better since this post...I order another supplement that should be in my hands any day now!

    TIP from a fellow GOUT sufferer. Treat gout as a food allergy. Keep a food diary of everything you eat and identify your triggers. I found mine to be ''wholemeal products'' such as wholemeal bread/biscuits/cookies/pasta and meat products that use bread crumbs as a filler. (Burgers and sausages). I eliminated these from my diet and have been pain free for over two years. I am no expert, just a fellow sufferer and this worked for me. Stay safe and well people.

    You can eat all foods. Gout can be completely solved with our food habit correction. I have done that after struggling for 8+ years. The primary culprit may be insulin resistance. So managing the sugar ( carbohydrates) or how sugar gets released to the body may be the key to solve this problem....I am out of Gout for 2.5 years now. I have created a video with my experience.

    Black cherry extract helped me tremendously. You must take it regularly and let it build up in your body. Eating cherries also helps but it has too much sugar for some people with insulin resistance. Food has very little impact.

    Best to avoid foods that can trigger a flare-up - it doesn't matter how much is too much. I had the worst flare-up two weeks ago on both knees after I switched to an all plant based diet - eliminating animal protein and eating mostly legumes, nuts, oat milk as substitute. Legumes, beans have very high uric acid content which is a no-no if you have gout. There is so much information out there and many are false. We have to sift through the real ones. I am not open to taking medication for life. I'm open to changes to what/how I eat so the gout will go away.

    Ive been battling this for 3 months. It kept popping up in a new joint about once a week for the whole 3 months. It happened a year or so ago, but I did not realize what it was. Just felt like a random toe sprain I guess, though extremely painful.. My diet had been loaded with the wrong things, in high quantities for a long time. decades. I'm 36. in these past three months, Every time a new joint popped up, it wasn't quite as bad as the one before. and I think it's because I have been getting my uric acid levels down with good diet. But on the last week it went to my elbow and it was terrible. I saw a video saying to stop ALL sugars. Added sugars, natural sugars ALL OF IT. as much as possible atleast. Maybe around 20 grams natural sugar per day may be ok. Not in one meal. NO FRUIT. NONE. I even stay away from vegetables that are higher than 3 grams per 100. Also I saw a video saying stop grains. Like whole grains. Also try to stay away from vinegar. When I tried this, it seems to have stopped. It may be a culmination of everything I've been doing the last couple months though. But it definately has stopped for a week for the first time in 3 months right when I did that. It seems to be a lot more about what you shouldn't put in your body than what you should. Portion control. Calorie count if it helps. Stay hydrated. Don't crash diet and don't eat big meals, to avoid spiking, triggering. Joint friendly Excersize regimen once able. Eat lots of vegetables. Eggs are good. Nuts are good. Olive oil about 2 tbspns per day good. Beans ok. Fat free/reduced dairy ok. Some meats like white chicken may be ok but I think why risk it. I stay away from things with ingredient labels with a lot of stuff I can't pronounce in it. If there is something I'm not quite sure about I use in moderation. I just do eggs nuts beans and dairy for protein for now. Until uric acid levels go down and then work stuff like grains, lean meats/fish/seafood, and fruit back into your diet. It helps that I am good at cooking, both of my parents being chefs. ( Which is probably part of the original problem. In Louisiana nontheless) Almond flour is great. Between that, riced cauliflower, eggs, olive oil and fat free cheese, I can make those vegetables taste pretty good. Always with a fresh salad with each meal. Gout is the personal trainer that I needed. That guy don't play around. When he says drop the cheesecake, you better do it or sleep with one eye open. He will attack you in your sleep. He's dedicated to making you change. You will thank him later. Lol. For some people, it's just genetics. For most people, it seems to be poor diet, gluttony, alcoholism. I have never had a good diet for 3 months in my life until now.
    Hebrews 12:4-13 NIV
    In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. [5] And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, [6] because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.” [7] Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? [8] If you are not disciplined---and everyone undergoes discipline---then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. [9] Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! [10] They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. [11] No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. [12] Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. [13] “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
    Titus 2:11-14 NIV
    For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. [12] It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, [13] while we wait for the blessed hope---the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, [14] who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

      You have to gradually reduce Allopurinol while being on Ketosis. Very careful what you still eat that contributes to Purine. By Ketosis you lose weight that also adds to uric acid.
      SO you have to know what you are doing OR the easy way is to keep eating everything and taking Allopurinol rest of your life. Yes Ketosis cures many diseases as Jack William Atkins has said.

I replaced potato chips, cakes, carton fruit juices, coke, icecream with nuts and fruit like apples. I worked out every day and drank lime water every day. No attack for 3 years. Then 2 months ago I had a big beer session as bars were opening after 1.5 years where I am. I got a gout attack. It faded after a few days. I drank 1 beer in the last 30 days and Ive had a whole month of severe on-off swelling pain. Was it that one beer session? Is my diet worth it? I don't know. Some doctors think fructose & inflammation are the enemy not purines - thy say the best thing to do is take up a keto diet or give up strong exercise, potatos, pasta, rice, eat steak. There is so much contraditcting information its painful. If diet only takes uric acid by 1 point, how much does exercise cause inflammation? If i give up beers will I never have another attack? • @jeanbaker1639
      @jeanbaker1639 5 років тому +1

      Yes he is , aMD prescribing drugs!!!!! This is what caused my gout he needs to revise the truth, hes right on processed foods , but hes gotall mixejd up with goodj nutrients, this is crazy advice , he says when your cells ayre breaking down for some reason!!! Ha oxalate is in all plants which we have spent a life time being advised to have and have given our bodies this stress. Plus a good dose of drugs. Im fed up with all this mis advice. I have been treating gout and vasculitis on my own and am getting better after 70 years!
