honestly it's amazing they made a game like this back in the 90s imo. The humor and music are really great too. I would have never known about this game if not for the remake haha, since I wasn't even born then.
On a side note, I have yet to play the remake. Almost positive I am trading in my series x for a switch and this game and whatever other nice things that may come with such a trade down. I remember playing SMRPG in my families utility room for two years straight.
Comparing notes here, but I think the Breaker Beam sounds much more delightful (read: PAINFUL) in the remake than in the original. Due to the SNES's system limitations for the time, the Breaker Beam sounded a little bit like sandpaper scratching on wood, while the remake's version sounds just as you'd expect it would if you've played enough sci-fi games. Or if you've played Capcom's "19XX: The War Against Destiny". There's something to be said about good sound design here.
most interesting part of this comparison is that the bosses in the remake are deff easier compared to the original and its without a doubt purely cuz, aside the obvious triple move and stat buffs, its especially due to the fact we can guard against all single target magic now in the remake, whereas in the original you couldn't guard magic at all, which's what made it a tiny bit harder. this also includes certain attacks like Croco bombs, spritz bomb, Birdo egg ect, which were unblockable in og, but blockable in remake. its still impressive how the mario rpg romhack "Armageddon" did that magic block action command first years ago and that found its way perfectly into the remake- (since in Armageddon the action command quartered damage from magic and phys attacks when timed perfectly)
Surprised they didn't use the Pixel Remaster version of FF4's Boss Battle theme for Culex is this remake, but nevertheless, it's a good remix of it. One thing I would have liked to see is actually when the fight escalates and he's all by himself, it should have changed to the "Battle with the 4 Fiends" or "Dreadful Fight" and THAT would have made it far more epic of a fight
They probably used his voice clips. Yet if they make a sequel or continue the Mario and Luigi series then I can see Bowser's VA being used to voice more lines.
3:31:42 can't believe there's a fkin organization 13 boss in a mario game-- bro that looks like somebody's genshin oc like what is that doing in a mario game-- idk what's more out of place for mario, realistic dragon fight or culex
Remake is simply the original but have great thing and have boss fighting start cutscenes and remake boss right and normal fighting music and also background new dialogo and hits number now here bowyer fight is now more longer and have a triple move
The colour scheme and pixel art of the original definitely gives off a more serious vibe than the remake, if that's what you're getting at. You may be including other factors like 'Nintendo remakes x game and sells it for +$50', or the distaste in modern copy-pasted 3D assets in general (I despise Peach's modern design in particular). Otherwise, it's a "f a i t h f u l" remake, which means functionally it's as good as the original. The biggest difference is how cutscenes are handled, UI changes, 60fps, and of course you can't ignore the "g r a f f i x !" Particularly biased reply here since I enjoy the original more than the revamp, moreso because it's a remake with no twist or new flavour packet. It isn't bad, it's just nothing new. (PS: all "STOP HAVING FUN!" onlookers must acknowledge that we are leaving a comment on our views, and not dictating what you can and can't enjoy) I can see your point when 3:15:17 looks better than 3:24:44/stationary demon dude sitting on an island.
Puh, it did take a lot of time to make this video. I would really appreciate it, if you would leave a Like to support the video. Thank you! :)
Will gladly do! Your content rocks😊😊😊😊😊
Gotcha BB! Your videos ALWAYS Rock! 😄😁👌👍
That's good

I’ll do it. You rock.
It's refreshing to see Nintendo remade this masterpiece.

It's refreshing to see that I am not the only one who promoted this game since day one. .hack// came afterward.

Culex evolved from the flat planes of the 16-bit realm and now his power is Unreal
37:52 _dat synching tho_ (Pacha approval face)
This comparison is really neat! thank you :D leaving a like!
Now that things are more clear - i can see that Mack/Claymorton is the red thing- not the springy thing-
I'd always thought he was a sword wearing a bandana. It was really eye opening to see he was a guy riding a sword shaped pogo-stick.
The cake ACTUALLY MOVES in the remake. 59:53
"Vat? Zee cake iz not moving. Back to Verk!

To be fair there are boss rematches too. Which should add more difficulty and be fun

Why did Culex come out the same in the remake as in the original?
Idk maybe he made a mistake
2:27:55 Boomer, we salute you.
It's Awesome to see the Comparison Video of *Super Mario RPG* right here! The Remake of this is definitely better than the Original!
The remake is not better than the original.
@@FireFlameYT OK, I'm sorry for saying that. My bad. Totally my fault
Not objectively, the original has some charm in the pixel art that the remake lacks.
@@makaronishenouda6413 Right.
Yeah i played the old version of this game
3:22:26 OH NO HES HOT!!😱
Oh my God! So this is his 3d model.

Oh no! They made him hot!

Don’t have to tell me twice! 😍
bruh why the heck does smithy’s true form look so freaky
So Bowser is voiced by Kenny James in the Super Mario RPG remake, am I right?
They probably used his voice clips. Yet if they make a sequel or continue the Mario and Luigi series then I can see Bowser's VA being used to voice more lines.
AMAZING! Thanks for this !🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
I like Culex's 3D form
2:01:07
Thank me later, if it's what you wanted to see.
They're gone in the remake. Everything what stays are wide face, long legs, nice hat and beautiful, BEAUTIFUL tiny waist, but not the chest
Points to the remake for keeping 'em big but not exaggeratingly horny/dumb
Thank you!
For the longest time, I couldn’t figure out yaridovich’s original battle background was. I didn’t think it was a cave with the sun setting.
Яридович , наш чтоль ?
The remake feels so much easier, big attacks like “breaker beam” deal no more than 20 damage 😤
It dealt over 60 damage to Mario and Geno in this video, though. I assume Peach is equipped with the Lazy Shell.
1:14:21 STOOOOOOOOP! HE'S ALREADY DEAD!😭😭😭
Rip Jonathan Jones
I'll never forget Boomers defeat speech. He's honorable.
Some sad shit. But he went down like a warrior, respect 🙏
I like old and new games of Super Mario RPG man i really like it
I came to see how Valentina changed (and some of others too)
Come on, they made a remake for this old piece of art... they can do a mario and luigi too.
I have a question, does they have the same amount of HP?
I feel like something funny you could've done is instead of 3D Culex, just do 2D Culex in the thumbnail for the Remake
They could have added more hp to all bosses. Would have been a simple effort.

Very disappointing, BeardBear. How could you be so spoilery in your thumbnail. That's some ProsafiaGaming-like nonsense.
Mack got Renamed .
So did Yaridovich apparently, he got renamed to better fit the translation, Mack got renamed for some reason, I don’t know why
they werent that hight up to begin with
Remake is simply the original but have great thing and have boss fighting start cutscenes and remake boss right and normal fighting music and also background new dialogo and hits number now here bowyer fight is now more longer and have a triple move
Remake got even more censored than the original. Not even a peace sign or jiggle physics.
Culex 3D Still wasn't as bad as Booster 023 -_-
hi
The original version of super Mario rpg is the definitive version. The remake, it looks nice, but the models look lifeless.
The colour scheme and pixel art of the original definitely gives off a more serious vibe than the remake, if that's what you're getting at. For the love of God ITS NOT A REMAKE ITS A REMASTERED VERSION FOR THE NINTENDO SWITCH
It's Faithful remake to be precise
Everything got reworked into a 3D model but Everything is still similar
Mario & Luigi is better

Culex remake 🤮
i liked my own comment
I love the Boss Battle Soundtrack, but I didn't love the trumpet they used for the remake. Sounds as if it's a little off-pitch.
