    Lyrics
    L'Amour est un oiseau rebelle
    Que nul ne peut apprivoiser
    Et c'est bien en vain qu'on l'appelle
    S'il lui convient de refuser!
Rien n'y fait, menace ou prière
    L'un parle bien, l'autre se tait;
    L'Amour ! L'Amour ! L'Amour ! L'Amour !
    L'Amour est un oiseau rebelle
    L'Amour
    Que nul ne peut apprivoiser
    L'Amour
    Et c'est bien en vain qu'on l'appelle
    L'Amour
    S'il lui convient de refuser
    L'Amour

Two decades later and I'm still in awe of Charlotte and Jesse, I truly wish they had collaborated more, such a beautiful pairing of styles at just the right time.

15 years old, with just a hint of baby fat remaining, and those eyes...but sexier by far than all the pop stars of today. Plus, no one topping charts today can sing like Charlotte. Brava...

If you only knows that the reason why charlotte church abandoned the classical music is that the majority of the fans really reference her to be a real angel in human being form which is she is not changed her look drastically she's not looking like she's been a angel just only her voice is simply a ngel angelic voice no trim her she's not an angel which causes charlotte church to change her whole image of herself

Here the decline in the voice is evident in the chin wobble through out the range and the unsteady tone in high notes where the wobble is intrusive to the point that it sounds like she is trilling. By 2005, her performances were so labored that she withdrew from performing classical repertoire simply because she was no longer able. Church imitated the sound of mature women from a young age...and to the untrained ear...was a marvel. To a classically trained singer, she was fatally flawed in producing a tone that was an imitation of a sound vs producing her own sounds. In doing so, she ruined what could have been a beautiful instrument. At the same time, she made a boat load of money doing it...probably more than the best classical singers will ever make because 1. Opera does not pay as well as most people think and 2. Pop type music has a much broader audience than classical singers have. Aside from Pavarotti, most people on the street will not know who you are talking about if you mention one of the greatest classical singers of all time. The legendary mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne once told a story about using a credit card in a store outside of NYC and the clerk saying "You know I think you have the same name as a really famous singer." Everyone knew Charlotte Church at her peak. The media dubbed her the voice of an angel, a great child prodigy. I was in music school then...and I heard a false tone with a ton of tension and bad technique....but a nice voice. Her final classical performance that I remember on Larry King for the late Pope John Paul II. It was unlistenable and had she continued to perform this way, she would be remembered as the girl who lost her voice.
