Glad to see you back in the shop; I think you're getting your backlog tamed, are ready to commence class, and ready to teach us this winter!! Thanks for the shoutout; I sure hope I don't disappoint your viewers; you have some of the best subscribers there are.
The powersaws Gods are smiling upon us again IRONHORSEEEEE is back glad to see your getting your health back. U dont know me faller for 40 years in British Columbia Canada here i don't build saws just run them i have manyyyyy husqvarnas lots are ported but been watching your stuff for multiple years now as i do tinman and bucking billy glad your backkkkkkkk and teaching the new up coming port an polish builders
It is good to see on the tube. I am 64 too and still just getting it done. Took a week to split the 8n tractor to swap out the clutch. Why walk when you can ride to get the fire wood to the house. Finaly got a rebuild kit for a x Torq carb. Winer winer chicken diner.
Alright, Harvey is back !!! Awesome to see you my friend, enjoyed a nice hot coffee watching this video 📹 Looking forward to spending a nice winter with you by the fire 🔥 Excellent video !!!!
Dad gum I'm glad to see you back in the shop and sounding like yourself. Been running my old Jonsered 910E, bucking up some good sized fir for firewood. Bucked up some large yellow oak and split that. Interspersed the wood with haying season. Now heading into shop projects as the fall rains have set in. At 82 years old I have finally found the lighter saws more my liking for felling. Got one of those ECHO 590's and it has been much better for me than I expected. Still like my 910E for bucking descent sized logs. Most all of my wife's kinfolk back in your area are dead so I don't imagine we will make it back into your country any more. I really enjoyed out travels into south central NY and north central PN, but only people left are in Erie. Continue your improvement, will be looking forward to more Ironhorse content. Nick, North West Farmer (Oregon)
Glad to see you back and doing good Mr. Ironhorse! I missed my morning chainsaw classes 😂 I've got a stihl ms201tc on the bench that I bought as "starts and runs great"...yeahhhhhh the piston and cylinder was smokeshowed, tore it down to find out that the small end of the crank is a beautiful purple color! $400 later I have a brand new OEM p/c and crank :) lessons learned! I wish I'd quit learing all these lessons the hard ways lol
LOOKIN' GREAT HARV! I FINALLY RAN THE CRANKSHAFT OUT MY 61/72, A NEW CHINEA CHEAPIE, PISTON/CYLINDER KIT COMES TODAY. I FIGURE IF I CAN MAKE THOSE WORK LIKE THE LAST ONE, "SPEED OF AIR" DRILLINGS REALLY HELPED THE FLAT TOP PISTON, WHY SPEND MORE? I RAN THAT SAW WITH A 32 INCH 404 BAR AND SKIP TOOTH CHISEL CHAIN THROUGH ONE HELLUVA LOT OF BIG ELM UNTIL THE BAR RIVETS GOT LOOSE AND THE SAW WOULD NOT RUN. 3 WINTERS OF WOOD, AND I HAVE A NEW DESIGN I COULDN'T BUILD TILL I GOT A NEW WELDER. "MECHANICAL AUTO-TUNE EXHAUST". IF IT WORKS LIKE I FIGURE, I'LL BUILD A SECOND ONE AND MAIL IT TO YOU.
This growing season has been something else. Got the crops in early May good thing because after that it rained a lot. My last wheat field to harvest was done off and on for almost a month it was so wet. It was funny I ended up using my oldest and smallest combine an Oliver 430 because it is light compared to modern equipment. Right now me and my brother are working on two New Holland TR combines to make them usable again. If I can't get them working I still have the working New Holland for a backup.
The Horse is back!! We missed you. I completely understand the workbench, the house needs spring-cleaning. The shop needs fall-cleaning. Trust me, I'm well overdue. The 365S is the best one-saw/firewood saw in history. The power curve is incredible. I own the Red version (I like the handle angle better than the orange one). As far as Stihl vs Husky... Currently, Stihl is kicking the snot out Husky. The 572 (71cc) has great power, but with the weight and bulk of a 385xp. The Stihl 462c (72cc) has the same power, spins faster, and has the weight of a Husky 562 (59cc). Let alone the 500i weighing a half pound less than Husky's 71cc. It's no contest. And sales numbers, dealer support, and build qualities aren't even close. Husky really dropped the ball with the "5" series. Simplicity, weight, and power; the foundational pillars of Husky's "3" series are completely gone. I wish you'd try them.
Good to see you back in the shop, would love to see what you can do with a Stihl ms400c, it is a lightweight powerhouse when stock, can only imagine what an Iron horse version could be.
great to see ya back ironhorse i can here you find but either you have a leaky air compressor hose or your mic has a hiss sound or maybe im just being picky or maybe you can here it so much on a phone im watching on a desktop computer with Yamaha speakers so maybe other people dont here it but i thought id let ya know im glad to see this build starting becus i just picked up a bunch of oem part saws husky 372xp a 365 special a husky 61 a husky 359 and a ms310 and climbing spikes belts and a hatchet 3 bars and 2 chains all for 200 and the 372 fired right up something going on with the handle lock and the ms310 fired up i need to put a coil on 365 see if that runs the 61 needs muffler i wondering can i use 272 topend on a 61 id be happy with the husky 86er
Wonderful to see you back at the bench again Ironhorse! I have two Stihl 026 saws, one red lever, that I would like to bring back into service. I have been enjoying "Tinman's" recent 026 project and will definitely check out "Haychaff & Sawdust" as well. Blessings to you.
The cast iron big bore is a nice idear however to the best of my knowledge it’ll never outperform a nikasil cylinder of the same size … also nikasil is oleophillic which means strong affinity for oil and guess what we’re using to lube the engine
NICE TO SEE YOU HARVEY BUDDY YOUR LOOKING ALOT HEALTHIER 😁👍👍HOPE ALL IS WELL IN THE HOUSE HOLD TAKE CARE BUDDY STAY SAFE ,IVE DONE A FEW HUSQVARNA 365 SPECIALS,AND 55,FOR SOME FRIENDS AND IVE MIRACULOUSLY BECOME THE NEIGHBORHOOD ROUND FILE CHAIN SHARPENER FOR FIREWOOD SEASON 😆😆 WILL WORK FOR COOKIES 😃😃😃👍👍
IRONHORSE, we all you your kind and loving soul:) God Bless and Protect you and your loving family:) I have learned so many different skills from you, because you have shred your lif and words of wisdom with me and with the world, to help us all out in life:) IRONHOUSE, you truly are a Man's Man, thank you for all your kindness and love:)🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖💖💖💖💖👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Im bored so i had a nos homelite bagless 150 cylinder, ground the transfers did a little case smoothing and muff mod with volocity stack and single ring piston, runs strong, i can dog in on cuts, bore cut, and fell with it!!!
@HayChaffandSawdust1 you all don't get the credit for the usable info you put out and I hope you carry on with your tests and dyno results cause it helps most people wither they admit it or not
😊😊 HI IRON HORSE gets good 2 see U finally again 😊😊 I asked 2 other people about U I never heard nothing I don't know what happened 2 them 😮😮 speaking 4 myself IM glad 2 see U back again in the shop working on the chainsaws just like U should thank U again fellow 😊😊 OMG 1O 22 2O24
Hi buddy..I been thinking of you lately..I'm logging a job in pa..we stop at the 119 saw shop on our way to the job..maybe I ll stop someday & visit..be there all winter..650 acres🌳🌳🌳
All sunshine makes a 🏜 desert! Times and seasons. If you respect them they will be much more enjoyable as they come in and out of focus. Keep moving forward is the key! Keep going.... PS you rock!
Hey ironhorse I bought a 395xp brand new and it came apart screws fell off and I tried to re thread the most but it was a nightmare I was wondering if you do and how much it would cause to fix it. Also how much to port it? Let me know if you do
If you we're to cut and shorten that bluie tube down to where it's about one inch with A side cut angle. On the bluie tube then weld it in one of those muffler outer shell.,or solid seem welded together as one piece muffler. It only needs to be down inside of it 5/16 to A 1 inch.
Iron horse I like three bond products, they make a case sealer for just about everything, me personally I use three bond 1194 for my cylinders when not using base gaskets, and you need a plastic hammer to knock them loose to get them off , the moto seal is automotive sealant , it'll work in a pinch , yamabond works ok but not a big fan
Dirko HT and Reinzosil for me😊 i have tried Permatex motoseal also but havent yet made my mind if i like that sealant. Stihl used Dirko HT for long time.
Good to see you Harvey. We need to talk you into coming to the Paul Bunyan show with Tinman and Bucken at least one year. I asked Tinman about getting you there when I talked to him this year
Hey there good to see you back on here. Your name came up in September at the Zoar Valley ride lots of nice vintage 2 strokes for sure. I’ve got my original late stock 044 still runs great never will get rid of it. You’ve got me curious about the 372 though
@ Ed Abdo re did the track last year and it was a great turnout people came from all over. This year was bigger and they are doing one next year as well. They have a Facebook page and also there’s some videos on UA-cam
Why don't you and a couple other you tuber saw builders get together and start a company that CNC ports power saw cylinder heads and pistons. With the knowledge that you guys have it would pretty easy to take the best of xyz type of cylinders and digitize a completed ported cylinders and pistons and a CNC machines could kick a lot of quality High performance cylinders out and CNC machines like when used on Automotive heads are fantastic for making flow and consistency!
Have you ever tried eating raw tart 🍒 cherries and the from tart cherries at home me DIY juice you might.,an could be surprised the outcome after trying it if you haven't before yourself. I'm not pushing.,or trying to cram anything down you're throat.,or trying to force anything on you either at all. It's just A natural antiflamatory source packed and loaded with lots of vitamins and minerals to when it's made right at home by ones self is all.

Damn Harv great to see you again. What’s the name of the chainsaw place you were getting thee pistons from here in Vermont?
Nice hat buddy how’s the handicap ✊🏻🇦🇺
Oof. Those transfers look rough. Reducing intake duration will help but that isnt correcting the underlying issues there.
Hello from Germany Peter
🙏
Hey Harv , glad to see you are fine. Hoping for more 372 Stuff on your Channel!
How about 4 in a row!
Mr Harvey nice to see ya 👍

When you find stuff on the back of your bench that you last used 8 years ago, maybe it's time to build a new bench.... 😄😄😄
Well heck ya!
Very knowledgeable on what you do and say. Blessings to you and your family. By the way where's your black cat ?
He passed on!
You are Man of very high integrity, honorable, with high moral values that has been a God send to all worldwide!!!
That's a fact
Life is good, now put a hi top filter cover on that husky.

I didn’t know about that event or I would have loaded up a few bikes and been there!

Class is in session!
Those 025s and 026s are a pain to me. I’ve been searching for timing numbers builders have tried on those 066 660s

Hey Harvey
It would be great to see you enter and appear at a saw race .
Oh just attempting to cut up a 50 ft oak that was taken down by a recent hurricane with a Riobi 36cc 18" bar. 😂 Unfortunately it's all i can afford.
Yeah, I know the feeling.

Me too!
