I've been busy working on my mu entire apartment and in this video we are tackling the bathroom. I'm super excited to finally share it with you! This DIY bathroom makeover is literally everything I envisioned and I'm so happy with how it turned out! It is the exact elevated Lux spa bathroom retreat vibe I needed, In this video, I will show you how I did DIY backsplash/ wall tiling, DIY marble flooring, shelves, and some DIY decor as well!

so smart using the backing of the tiles to measure... Like it's so obvious now that I think about it but I'm sure most wouldn't think of it.
I seen someone else put cardboard or posterboard over the fronts of the cabnet doors, then cover with contact paper. That way you dont see the grooves underneath! Luv it tho! Great job! Very inspiring!

I would love to see a follow up on how the peel and stick products have held up over the past year, especially in the bathroom. I came here looking for demo's on the peel/stick floor; we're getting ready to do our kitchen to improve the look of it before we put our house on the market. Thanks for being your gorgeous self! 🤍

Hey love what your doing in your Toronto apartment-I've been doing the same in my Ottawa apartment-I've spent so much in reno's but i dont care bc i have to make it to my style-the only thing i will tell you is show us a full reveal at the end- (refering to your kitchen makeover) go around your whole room with your camera-look forward to more of your reno's :) I want to show all my reno's but i'm a little camera shy lol

Girl I use curtains as a overlay in my bathroom too but I only close them at night and I’m the day time I tie them back like actual curtains it’s so cute n luxurious but I have a black shower curtain and grey black out curtains on the outside

Your bathroom looks amazing. I can’t wait to see the full apartment tour. What did the landlord say when they came in to fix what needed to fixed? This is giving me so much hope. I’m excited to start my project. I’ve had everything for almost a year and just never did anything. This week I’m just going to do it. I felt like you wanted to cry tears of joy! You did so good!!
Aw thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully you can get your project done and you can feel the same tears of joy LOL are you fixing your bathroom as well?. And when my landlord seen it she was extremely impressed and wanted me to keep everything in the bathroom even though I told her can remove it don’t worry. she was like “why” it looks amazing and she actually wanted me to help her with her place.
I believe you. I ended up finishing my kitchen and the maintenance man loved it! I honestly don’t think these landlords care what you do with the older apartments as long as you’re not making things worse you know. Definitely said I had the best kitchen he’s seen in the complex!!! It was so therapeutic. I’m going to start my bathroom on next week! That kitchen really got me. It was a lot! I love your videos! Keep it up!
I mean WOW...one of the best transformations I've ever seen. It inspires me to work on mine. I've felt stuck because I'm renting. Wished you were near and I can have you come over to give me advice on how to renter friendly cover the wood paneling.

Aww thank you, yes they’re still holding up it’s been almost 2 years and they’re perfectly fine haven’t budged at all

Aww thank you, it’s been up for about two years now and there hasn’t been any yellowing or discoloration that I’ve noticed.

i have peel and stick tile that i've placed all over my apartment. had it for 4 months and they've done surprisingly well even with mopping and showering, spills etc

That's a gorgeous peel and stick floor. Larger marble look vinyl tiles - the 12x24 typical size for cut real stone or porcelain marble look tile look higher end than 12x12. NO marble tile patterns are ever going to line up with each other (whether real stone or fake), but you want to make sure that the marble "runs" are all going in the same direction. The drapes you made into an outer shower curtain look great, they really add a luxurious touch to go with the beautiful "marble" tile floor.

16:43 psycho killer/boob light. I have a hilarious story that involved one of those goshdarn boob lights that you get in old apartments. One day, I was alone in my apartment, and I was bent over the tub, rinsing out some hand washing. All of a sudden, I felt a thud on my upper back as if someone snuck in and attacked me with double fists from behind. I screamed. I was petrified, thinking the worst; that an intruder got in and I that I was about to die. I stood perfectly still, waiting for their next move. After a second, I realized that the dreaded "boob light" above had somehow got loose and crashed down on top of me; smashing all over the place. I was so relieved. lol. 😂

Get a curved shower curtain rod
Leave the plastic shower curtain in the tubto make sure no water gets on thefloordont leave skin care and tooth brush exposed

how did you drill the shelves into the tile if you're renting?
I love the bathroom look, and esp love the gray wall tiles! They look so good!
thank you those tiles made a difference and I believe in the video I stated there were already pre-existing holes from the previous tenant so I just used those. So I had to drill holes in the shelf to fit the holes that were already in the wall.

Before putting up peel and stick tiles, walls should be thoroughly cleaned of any residue. This way you may not get puckering or it coming down.

Yes the peel and stick tiles were easy to stick on to the tiles as well as onto walls as long as your surfaces are clean of debris they work wonderfully, Super user-friendly.
I no I really late but did you put those tiles in the shower an around the base boards as well

Have you use the peel and stick on painted walls? My bathroom is painted and I really want to try the peel and stick but I’m afraid it’ll snatch the paint off the walls
Maybe put some contact paper on top of the paint, and then the tiles on top of the contact paper for easy removal! Not sure if it’d work, but just an idea :)
