    The video actually helps people who might scroll through the presets of this thing without knowing how to use it yet, even if some presets come with instructions more or less, it is easy to miss a good preset on this thing when you don't know yet how to use it. When I saw this synth in a store it was quite underwhelming because it has so many presets. But trying again after watching the video, I can quickly find interesting presets, and use to controls to get a better experience of what this thing can do.

    If you have a wavestate or modwave (hardware), you can get the full (corresponding) VST from KORG for $50. Just sayin'. Also, this thing can be programmed as a general VST-type synth, and with 3rd party sample/patch sets, it sounds monstrous. I picked up some Juno/Jupiter type samples for my wavestate native plugin, it it sounds sick. Thanks for the video.

    Copelandia Marcato (around 22:40 ) sounds like a homage to Stuart Copeland's Fairlight (I think) based set up from the mid 80s, which can be heard in The Equalizer (original series) .

      The screen is actually quite readable or rather I would say the font is not too small. I also own an Opsix which has the same screen but smaller font and it's harder to read - not too much but I wish the screen was bigger. But Wavestate is fine.

      I updated my MK1 to version 3.1.7 hoping it would include the MKII patches, but I'm not sure what all was in the update. I think there might be some new patches (or maybe some I never noticed before), but there are some MKII patches that my updated MKI does not have (for example 122 baby right off the first screen).

    For playability any Korg RH3 piano keybed on stage piano ,
    & i've just been let loose on the Osmose . amazing keyboard . I think these big companies are lagging behind , we need instruments we can actually play , there is just a limit to how many sounds .

      Now, KORG is proud to present the new wavestate mkII, with improved polyphony (96 stereo voices) and a fresh look.It’s completely compatible with sounds and samples for both the original wavestate, wavestate SE and wavestate native software, including many excellent third-party libraries. Updated sounds and software keep it fresh (and these are available for the original wavestate, too). The compact form-factor, with 37 full-size keys, still transports easily and fits neatly into any stage, studio, or desktop setup.

    Getting a free synth is the same thing as being paid for a review. It's monetary value and I really dislike youtubers starting to get the nerve to word it in such a way where they make it sound less bad. It's a sponsored review I dont care what you say dude. Your reviews are great you dont need to be dishonest.

    • @PinkBuddhaAcademy
      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  6 місяців тому +12

      Oh...well, maybe I should just say that it's a loaner. They send things to me, I do the review...then send it back.

      @@PinkBuddhaAcademy my dude I am very sorry. I mistook what you said as you getting the synth for free. Being borrowed long enough to learn it and do the review makes complete synth. Forgive me for my misunderstanding. There are other youtubers who do get free gear and tell us that it isn't a paid promotion and I thought this was another one of those. Best of luck and thanks for the great videos

      Being into metal detecting since I was a kid in '76, (now synths too), I watch a lot of those videos. There are one or two individuals who actually get detectors sent to them to keep, but review them. Because they've not had to spend stupid money out their own pocket, they just throw them around like toys. But saying at the start of their videos, that they aren't being paid to review the machine.... Eh, am I missing something??????

    Wish I knew if it was garbage or not… people tend to glob on and get over excited. Main concern: how lacking is the bass in comparison with Roland and Moog products.

    • @PinkBuddhaAcademy
      @PinkBuddhaAcademy  3 місяці тому +1

      Which products? And I don't how if this is quite an apples for apples comparison. The wavestate is kind of a thing of its own

    • @Donetur
      @Donetur 2 місяці тому +2

      Don’t expect a rompler to be like a Moog, that’s totally out of context. This can do a lot more than Moog, A LOT, but Moog may sound fatter and analog or course because it is real analog. It can have bass for a production and it will do the job, but mixed with similar sounds probably or a VA. This is very very cinematic, you feel you are playing an already mixed orchestra with synths or space synth pads ready to use for a movie. It sounds pretty good, I liked it and I own good analog gear (Prophet 10, Yamaha SK20, Pro 800, etc.) but don’t expect to be the same, you need to analyze if you need this for your own music. I don’t but it is funny enough to play it and I feel I own a tool for soundtracks if I ever need it, it is also challenging to learn and personally I like that. For techno also this is quite good, only that it is not the music I compose, but it is really fun to jam techno on this thing. This is the most soundtracky synth I have ever owned as a summary and it sounds as such, I liked the sound, digital but very good.
