Leyland Leopard the best bus/coach ever made and easy to work on,, Bill Redfern of the real ,,BartoN Transport Ltd,, to the end and proud to say NOT the trent outfit,,

I describe Leyland Leopards as coach versions of the Leyland Atlantean. As far as I know, I've only been on 1 Leyland 680-engined bus - Blackpool Transport Atlantean 353. That was jerky.
I'd just love to travel in a Leyland Leopard with that awesome 680 engine 😍! Somebody I know has a Leyland Leopard I think - it does about / or 12mpg. I'd say not bad for a Leyland of that type! Not surprising as Leyland Leopards would probably weigh much less than today's Volvo coach successors.
I like that whine in the gearbox - it makes you think you're in a Leyland Atlantean coach. What would the top speed be in this Leopard and in Leyland 680-powered Atlanteans?
Also, what's that nice music playing in the background called?

Mitchell ,,,,,, A Leyland leopard is as perfect a bus/coach as you will ever come across,, but only as good as the driver,,,, I know as I worked at the Real BartoN Transport Ltd,,of Notts,,
If one worked there Leyland was the life blood of our company,, We had more than most of these,, I loved the buses like they were my own,, Bus enthusiasts could only dream of the job I had,, running repairs, breakdown/recovery, both local and long distance, emergency psv driving, and overtime, bus and coach driving,,a good company that should be still here today, but sadly taken over by trent against the wishes of most of the family and staff,, I was there from 1961 until takeover 1989,,,,Thankfully a lot of the buses have been restored,, I still have my uniform,, Bill Redfern badge number EE45170,,,,,,

@@williamredfern5504 I know you'd be a great driver just by the way you write about the company. I can still judge a driver in the first few minutes of their driving.
