Nice truck. Certainly cannot beat that old Mack sound. Reminds of the Waste Management MR series that used to collect in the neighborhood. It was straight piped could be heard three blocks away working the street.
I swear nothing in the world will ever beat the sound of these old maxidynes and maxitourqes not even a Cummins or Detroit Will ever sound better in my opinion in these old Mack’s one of my dads friends use to have an old 85 steel nose RD 686s plow truck and my god that thing used to be music to my ears thing had a yellow cab and yellow hood but silver fenders and black nose/ grill but and it also had a dark blue dump body thing was rusted all out sadly he sold it back in 2018 and got ny dot granite for his new truck
Absolutely amazing video man can you please try your best to do another one exactly like this one but longer and with really high rpm up shifting because this thing sounds absolutely amazing you stay safe and have a blessed one
How did you get dual exhaust looking for a kit for mine, or did you have custom fab it, even if I could just find a y pipe it would save me so much time
luggin the engine like crazy. that engine isnt meant for that. you are way out of torque and hp range. Let me drive and ill show you how to run that old mack
Mike. You do know the Maxidyne engine is supposed to pull down as low as 1200rpm don't you? P.s you should look up the hp and torque curve for this engine.

Ole E6 BullDog sounds Good. 😁😎. I miss that sound on a daily basis .
Ahhhh nothing like a snow capped Mack with twin sticks and dual 5s in the back lol

Like the camera angle too.

Nice sounding rig ya got there.
Sounds awesome!
"I'm driving home for Christmas, yeah 🎶"
Mack Attack! 😎👍
Great camera angle
Love the sound. Is this an 8 ? One stack for each bank ? Or a six with dauls so it could breath better with two exh. ports ?
Looks like Syracuse into Nedrow?
Great video! Two questions: is this a RS700 model?, and where was this filmed?
Syracuse NY
Do you ever have any problems with cold starting. I had a 2005 isx that absolutely would not start up in Syracuse area
@@bernadovasquez2778 when it gets real cold we just give it a quick shot of starting fluid.
What model Mack is this ?

We put a staggered y in and ran it across. The stacks mount to the cab.
Mud stick 6 spd only use the mud stick in low on the auxiliary and 1st on the main And pick up those RPM’s not good for that e6
Got a burnt valve or an injector going bad somewhere
nope
@@thermidorlevrai65 well it definitely had a miss from something.
@@deborahchesser7375beggared if I can hear it either. It does sound like the engine brake is only working on 3 cylinders though.
@@James-kd7dc it sure sounds like a dead miss somewhere and I’ve worked on a bunch of them.

its probably a 5 sped with a mud stick, massive drop between gears.

Yankees can't drive trucks
Bold coming presumably from someone who lives in the EU where trucks are mandated by law to have governors for "safety" haha
