This sound honestly might be the most amazing I've heard out of keyscape yet. The low register and the high end are both so specific, it's such a specific kind of upright piano, and it's emulated so fantastically it's really something else.
Even though these videos are a promotional vehicle for your product, I find myself coming back again and again to listen to the great musicianship. So, well done!
This is fantastic and I love it, but I found a video of Jamie Cullum laying this song down unrehearsed for an early morning radio program in the UK about 5 or 6 years ago and it's still probably my favorite take on this song, other than The Beatles, of course ;)
Ploughman Studios yeah man he's heavy as hell. Jazz monster on piano and it's in his phrasing. They wrote strong pop songs too though. I got to jam with Phil Stack (bass) and Matt Smith (gat) in 2011 when they came to our city but Rai's voice was gone from illness, so they had a night off and we hung out. Man they can play. Bad asses...
Wow. These series of Keyscape videos has managed to convince me that I'm an absolute amateur crap keyboardist eventhough I've been playing for a few years. On the other hand, these are some talented, kickass musicians.
Spectrasonics has assembled some of our greatest piano players! Rai is a phenomenal jazz/pop piano improviser. Great work on the Keyscape sounds, Eric!
Realy nice and a wery cool performance all played by a softwareinstrument (computerpiano)... It sounds just GREATE. (Thank you for Keyscape Spectrasonic) and Of course thanks to Rai Thistlethwayte
This is probably my favorite out of all the Spectrasonics sessions, next to the ones with Greg Phillinganes! Rai is having so much fun, and I love the snare sound he pulls off!
What an excellent artist. This sound blows me away. But in my mind the version from 05.15.2012 is much more better. Vocal sound is rawer.. Please please more..... By the way.. Yesterday I've bought Keyscape. Can't wait util have it installed and can play with it. Thanks Spectrasonics!!!
Marvelous Groove ! Rich sound ... I don't regret my Keyscape bought. A question... which audio interface does he use ? (for a minimum of latency) . (on USB-C / USB converter I think)

_Outstanding_ demo of the Wing Upright. Can't believe I missed this before! Rai Thistlethwayte, you rock!
His timing is one of a kind ! Cool !
This song got a new life. Excellent by Mr.Down Under.
It's back! Thank you so much Spectrasonics for returning this masterpiece. I can watch Rai do his thing all day long
Didn't realise how good of a muso Rai was. Just thought he was a guitarist/vocalist of a reasonably average rock band. Very impressed.
geeeeez man you obviously have never seen them live because Thirsty Merc are not AVERAGE.. They're all heavyweight muso's...
dragondix you're quite right. Never saw them live. Just heard their pop singles. Always liked his voice though.

It's always a pleasure to watch the professional musos make it look so natural, so easy.

His playing style is awesome
Great playing and singing. I hear some Kenny Loggins in those vocals.
Freakin great!
If I close my eyes I don't see a midi keyboard, I see a man with a mustache in a corner playing an Upright Piano. Well done Spectrasonics.
The mustache really brings out the tone
The mustache is the toan.

Cool stuff! Saving for Keyscape, can't wait! Loving these demos, are we getting Jordan Rudess anytime soon?
Great !
I see something from Neon intro by John Mayer (Where the light is)
Does anyone know what hardware he's using for repeating the beatboxing - and if that device requires a sound card or not? :)
Boss Loop Station

3:17 Gimme a break... 🤪
Rai's beatbox is already a better drummer than Ringo
Ok, Ray, could you please not be good at _everything?_
