  • The Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan is one of the biggest and most spectacular aquariums in the world. This videos focuses on some of the most strange-looking sea creatures that can be found there.
    Some of the species shown in the video are: damselfish, yellowtail clownfish (amphiprion clarkii), moon jelly (aurelia aurita), spotfin burrfish (chilomycterus reticulatus), spotted eagle ray (aetobatus narinari), whale shark (rhincodon typus), ocean sunfish (mola mola), alfred manta ray (manta alfredi), bowmouth guitarfish (rhina ancylostoma -- a.k.a. guitar shark), zebra shark (stegostoma fasciatum), hammerhead shark, white-sided dolphin (lagenorhynchus obliquidens), giant spider crab (macrocheira kaempferi), beluga whale (delphinapterus leucas), Atlantic sea nettle (chrysaora quinquecirrha), Pacific sea nettle (chrysaora fuscescens).
    Music by Ludovico Einaudi -- "Divenire" (2007 from "Divenire" album -- Sony)
    Special thanks to my friend Ilias ( / iliosporos77 ) for shooting most of the videos with his HD camera.

    I feel bad for some of the animals. Especially the Whale Sharks and the Ocean Sunfish. But when I visited this aquarium with my family, it never ceases to amaze me each time I visit. Ocean life is beautiful.

    That's massive. Ocean Sunfish, manta ray, Bowmouth Guitarfish, Zebra Shark, & whale shark in the same tank?! Amazing! Imagine Wayde King & Brett Raymer from Animal Planet Channel show Tanked gets to witness this SUPER MEGAFORCE fish tank just like Ocean Wonders Sharks exhibit at Coney Island's New York Aquarium in Brooklyn, NY for it's grand opening on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

    You know as much as I love sharks and sea life, those whale sharks and manta rays shouldn't be in those tanks. One because of their size, two because large creatures like that NEVER do good in tanks, and three some animals should just stay in the wild.

      Another reason that they shouldn't be in those specific tanks is that that tank is not very deep and it has too many corners. Big sea creatures need a circular tank.

      Sometimes I wonder if the ocean is big enough for them all ... what with the size they all seem to be reaching nowadays ...

    Aquarium trade is a threat because there are so many black market traders out there who just take fish in order to make money. If used responsibly, aquariums such as this can help educate people on the wide level of biodiversity that is to be seen in the oceans.

    This is so sad. Those whale shark look too big for those tanks. I wouldn't support this. The bumps on its nose don't look normal! Why take them out of their natural environment for our own pleasure? Poor things!

    no, global warming is the biggest threat. coral & plankton species are very temperature adapted. The slightest change either way in temperature can lessen productivity of (or in worse case kill) such animals which form the basis of the marine food chain. So wiping out coral and plankton effects everything upwards on the chain, removing a few hundred fish has little impact,unless it's constant large scale removal like for commercial food fishing.

    People are complaining on how fish trade and black market is the biggest threat but global warming is getting worse and worse, do they realize that plankton can't really adapt to water change meaning that everything that eats plankton will have a bad time, and ALOT of creatures eat that, and a lot of coral = if things go extinct everything dies, also can people stop complaining here about how sad it is but what will this do, also this person didn't put them in their cages did they, if you really had a problem complain to the aquarium

    owned... i noticed a lot of parasites. pelagic fish shouldn't be in an aquarium its just not feasible to make a tank large enough.

  • @DROZ3R1
    @DROZ3R1 12 років тому

    @DeepAddiction47 at least they aren't being eaten by us or each other like in the ocean. i know it's the way of life, but they're being saved in way. i'm sure they all live many years longer than they would in open water. stop worrying about things you have no control over. or go do something about it... whoblah...!

    Others have the right to their opinions, be them right or wrong. Blasting them with sarcasm and arrogance is wrong. If your true intent is to educate, then do so in a manner that makes someone want to listen to you, as I've said before your insight has a lot to offer people, but your horrible attitude just drives them away. 'nuff said man, I'm over all this.

  • @Hewhoknows13
    @Hewhoknows13 11 років тому

    Whatever man, check out anger management. It may help you get your point across to all of those folks who've been ignoring you. If you're surrounded by idiots, it's likely that THEY are not the idiots.

  • @Hewhoknows13
    @Hewhoknows13 11 років тому

    My opinion is just as relevent as yours. Teaching can be done with understanding, all arrogance does is drive people away from your insight. You have a lot of it to offer, why do so in a manner that negates your statements? Seems to me you're a little late in educating yourself on that concept.
    No need for a response.
