What Craig didn't know, was that this very moment was the start of something legendary. When Geoff was introduced to the show, the show went from terrific to the funniest talk show in history of television.
FerFer1958 ive watched it so many times over the last two years its quite ridiculous! doesn't get old!! pro tip though - josh has this vid on his channel too and the views should prob go to him :)
That moment you realise whenever he looks in Geoffs direction especially when him and Geoff are in fits of laughter he was really looking over at Josh, the two of them just fit together so well. True brothers.
This tweets & emails segment introduced two long-running gags: 1) Geoff having a place almost everywhere and 2) Geoff playing the harmonica/mouth organ along with Craig
When I was in school I would always stay up late to watch it. This episode always made me laugh. I miss Craig, Geoff, and the rest of the cast so much.
This episode was the first time Josh Robert Thompson did the whole "I got a place there" gag for whenever Craig mentioned a city or town whilst reading the tweets and emails. From then on it remained a running joke for the rest of the show.
He is the funniest, best late night talk show host in my opinion. His humor is perfect for those late night laughs and in this case, crying fits of uncontrollable laughter.
kingStormy Sky I agree with you on Conan and craig and yeah Kimmel does funny shit with ppl but I don't think he's funny at all. Like he needs those skits to be funny. The other 2 are funny without thay imo
I watched Craig from the first to last show. Was very lucky to go to the filming of the LLS in LA Went to quite a few of his stand up shows and meet and greet Craig is very nice and cordial Those years were magical. Thank you Craig
The most hilarious thing was that even Geoff lost it laughing, that made Craig lose it even more, for me i was really surprised when Goeff played the organ too, it killed me i was literally rolling on the floor laughing
Craig Ferguson can make chronic pain disappear. His laughter is infectious and it's so good for whatever ails you. If you're feeling good to start with, then it's all gravy, baby...
I definitely miss Craig's improv style. Not everybody can do improv, so I wouldn't want them to try to make all late night shows like this, but when you have the right people, like Craig and Josh (the guy who played Geoff), it's downright magical.
same here, but the reason they don't unfortunately is because of the ridiculous amount of content. In his 10 years he had 2000+ shows. That's well over 200 per yr. It would just be a hassle to get that many episodes, although if they did do that you better believe I'd be the first person in line to buy that box set
I've yet to hear of someone that has actually met Fallon speak ill of him, his interviewing/comedic abilities, or his laugh. Sit down and put away your psych degrees.
trippplefive It must be cuz I didn't get it, the whole time watching the video i was just like "Geoff did that every time, what's so funny about it?" Now I get it
I don't think so. The very original run of Geoff didn't have an actor doing the voice; the puppet just had a sound chip with several different sound clips (voiced by Craig). One of the voice clips was "Yeah, I've got a place there". Craig would ask a guest about their home, or somewhere they'd been; Craig would then ask Geoff if he'd ever been to X, and Geoff would respond with that line.
+xukeith33 I've just gotton over the grieving period for that very fact. Never know with network contracts (ie:politics) whether he needed it for the money but according to his talks on the show it was his decision. He killed it on his final (shooting just prior to the final recording). Never knew singing on a desk was so alluring. It's now a thing thanks to Craig! Do you know what game show? (I despise them but if I can find news on him SOMEWHERE, it'll be a bit brighter in my world.) :)
I miss this show so much. I just saw Craig live in Henderson NV a few weeks back and it was an excellent show, but The Late Late Show was truly special.
I'm from Louisiana and I'm concerned people may think that we walk around with beads and at random times throw them viciously at people. Actually we should start doing that, that sounds really fun
mackensie woodcock No, no no! That's not what people think. They think that you like to get drunk and flash strangers for beads. Don't sell yourselves short. LOL!
Hmmm, I dunno. Sounds too Roman. Im just throwing this one out, but what say we flash flashes of DC's Flash at random people while flashing lights around ourselves, cosplayed as Flash Gordon, while singing blinding flashes of creative flourish with a dash of hossonpepper?
Their sense of timing is nearly impeccable. When Craig senses this has become a pattern, he stops himself to ask the same question he did before: "How often do you get there," only then going on to "What do you do there?" Golden.
I can't believe I'm just now discovering craig. He's so genuine and laid-back he's hilarious without trying which is the best kind of funny. Thanks for uploading this!
I'm Irish and I've heard of him but never seen to much until lately sadly and I've been watching a lot of him lately ....man they could do with this show back now
At one time or another. We had both Craig Ferguson, Conan O'Brian, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert. Now we only have Coco, and Colbert. Fallon sucks, I've yet to see the replacement for Stewart. Everything is soo backwards.
+Shaun Mattice even the dude who took over Craig sucks ass, it's like all talk show hosts are copying fallon and dumbing down their shows for kids with ADHD
+Shaun Mattice Fallon is neither a great interviewer nor a great comedian, but his show is quite fun to watch. Letterman is not funny, but he's a pretty good interviewer.
I agree, Craig was the greatest Late Night host Network made a huge mistake letting leave After my husband passed away my daughter suggested I start watching Craig again since Craig made me laugh again Thank you,
Craig is doing new things. He is a very intelligent. I wish him nothing but the best and I am sure he is achieving it. One time I heard him say to the audience when talking about leaving the show. "Don't worry about me" .. you can believe it..
I am addicted to this clip as well. It just cracks me up. Geoffrey Peterson started out as a robot with only 6 preprogrammed phrases. And now he is a true side kick that can riff with Craig Ferguson and hold his own. When Craig asks Geoff if he would like to read the email he said "how dare you - pretty soon you will ask me to play the harmonica." Later when Craig plays the harmonica - Geoff plays backs and freaks Craig out. Also the stoic robot is laughing just as hard as Craig.
I've wondered what will happen to the fabulous character who plays Geoff. . the gay skeleton robot. The man is multi talented. My favorite on the show. I do hope he gets a great gig somewhere.
The improvisation jokes is the real gems from this show When you are genuinely funny guy, you can just make jokes basically from anything and it's really hilarious Not just laugh at what your guest said about their daily life *cough fallon *cough
OH MAN!...watched this many times...stilll makes my face hurt from rolling on floor piss my pants laughter!!! brilliant...I believe this guy in enough time could've cured many ailments!!!
Every time I watch this my jaws hurt from laughing so hard. I miss Craig and Geoff. Their banter was legendary. By the way, I started watching this show when the other Craig was there.
So much funnier than any of the talk show hosts we have now!
Still! And this is March 1, 2019!
Conan can still make me laugh, but Craig’s still my favorite. The worst is James Corden. Can’t fucking stand him.
Conan?
Jimmy Kimmel is the only one that comes close and he's only a distant second
@@cooperminion825 fuck off . Conan is best now . Craig used to be the best
What Craig didn't know, was that this very moment was the start of something legendary. When Geoff was introduced to the show, the show went from terrific to the funniest talk show in history of television.
Just go back a few months when Geoff wasn't there and realize what a brilliant move the creation was. Their timing is perfect!
Even without geoff craig alone was INCREDIBLE
Careful Icarus
oh I remember pre-Geoff , the skits about JK Rowling
dude's hilarious
I was crying when I discovered him
Adding Secretariat the horse just made everything perfect. I miss this show so much
The fact that Geoff maintained his voice through the laugh... LEGENDARY
I watched this video around 40 times... is funny every single time.
FerFer1958 ive watched it so many times over the last two years its quite ridiculous! doesn't get old!! pro tip though - josh has this vid on his channel too and the views should prob go to him :)
FerFer1958 Same. He's got a laugh that makes you laugh. :D
yup, me too
That moment you realise whenever he looks in Geoffs direction especially when him and Geoff are in fits of laughter he was really looking over at Josh, the two of them just fit together so well. True brothers.
Where was JRT sitting in the studio?
@@evyuser he was behind the curtain on Craig’s right side
Now pause for a second and think. THIS IS THEIR JOB! Man life is worth living if you can make yourself and others laugh.
Yup well for me lot of pressure gotta say
EXACTLY! And, that's why I drop my pants any chance I get!
This tweets & emails segment introduced two long-running gags: 1) Geoff having a place almost everywhere and 2) Geoff playing the harmonica/mouth organ along with Craig
_lmao I miss this show so bad_
I agree "from 2016"
+Kyle K what happened to it?
+Faisal Sha3 He left. He hosts a show called "Celebrity Name Game" now.
+Kyle K Thanks, I didnt know that, but right now he hosts show Join or Die on History channel
Join or die is good, he still gets to do a ridiculous monologue
"I'm laughing again... We throw beads, and we go swimming" LOL
When I was in school I would always stay up late to watch it. This episode always made me laugh. I miss Craig, Geoff, and the rest of the cast so much.

this is how you genuinely laugh at something FALLON, take notes lol
owned .....
Jimmy "the fake bland" Fallon can take all the notes he want, not even on his best dreams he can hope to be like Craig :P
That's because this is genuine improv; Fallon's stuff is all scripted.
Nawal Also Conan and Corden

The Late Late show will never be this good again. Never. Just let that sink in.
My god, he's from the future!!!
I love that when the guy playing Geoff loses it he still has the wherewithal to move the jaw in sync with his laughter.
and with this episode (one of the first ones Josh did live in studio) one of the best duos in late night was born
I like Colbet and everything.... But Craig would've been a much better replacement for Letterman
