    That deputy that didn't record or take notes broke every interview rule in the book. No recording, no notes, and if he did take notes he shredded them. That is beyond incompetent.

      sounds more intentional. He was hired solely to solve this case and had something to prove and nothing to show for his time. So he shoehorned what he thought was a likely suspect as the perpertrator knowing full well there wasn't enough to convict. So he destroyed the recordings of the interview. Thats what it sounds like to me atleast.

    It is time to hold prosecutors more accountable for their mistakes. If a prosecuting attorney withholds evidence that could exonerate a defendant and they are convicted but later found innocent then the prosecuting attorney should be very severely punished for their mistakes!! ALL HAIL TO THE GEORGIA INNOCENCE PROJECT!!

    I remember hearing about the Swain murders on Unsolved Mysteries. Even though it took almost 40 years, I’m glad that not only will the case be closed, the person who committed the crime will face justice for it.

      Agreed - humans are by far the scariest monster out there. Much like wild animals, at least monsters such as zombies, werewolves, or even vampires typically dispatch humans out of either instinct or to eat, lol. Humans use all kinds of abstract or selfish reasons.

      It’s mostly the judges, not necessarily the cops. Cops do their jobs and the pedo judges let them walk with little or no punishment

    When I first heard your description of Dennis Perry, I thought, "That's really irresponsible of you to even mention this guy." Then, during the trial segment, I thought, "OK, I get why he mentioned this guy, but the prosecutor was really irresponsible for bringing this guy to trial with this crappy evidence." And then my jaw dropped when you said he was convicted.

    Hearing how many times billy got off sex crimes was infuriating. If his offending had been taken seriously Carol, Sandy, Elaine, Renee, Teresa and the unknown woman would likely still be alive

    I can watch/listen to brutal true crime stories for hours at a time without great disturbance. However, show a picture of a clay Jane Doe “likeness” and I’m totally creeped out , hoping that it doesn’t get shown again! Without fail, it’s always shown again! 🤦🏻

    Thx for profiling these cases. I really feel for Mr. Perry; I knew in my heart there was no way he could have killed those two people. Very sorry he spent 20 years of his life in prison for a crime he did not commit, but glad he has been exonerated.

    I really miss the style of ITK because it's so much more detailed and you share movies, songs, etc. That were popular the year the crimes were comitted. I know it takes more time to research that info but it's great details that mean a lot. I'll always love this channel no matter what

      Those extra details could have been the reason the channels itk videos had the lowest views of all the videos posted. I'm guessing the majority of people who watch the channel don't care about prince songs or ghost busters movies that were popular in the 80s.

      I think you got some details confused. William, who was the father, slept with his own stepmother and produced Wendy. Because Wendy and Billy shared the same father, but not the same mother, they were half siblings.

    Wow! These cases are real humdingers! Especially the last one. It just goes to show how important it is for law enforcement officers to be thorough and careful when handling evidence and conducting an investigation. There have been too many cases where innocent people were railroaded and convicted for crimes they did not commit. Thanks for another great episode!

    So wait on the 3rd case, he did it or not? I am so confused at first they said he was guilty sentenced to double life, the conviction gets overturned he's free, several months/years later he goes back to jail?

      You've got it confused. The guy originally charged/convicted was acquited. The actual killer was only arrested last year, 4 years after the other man was let go/his DNA was connected to the crime which is very suspicious.

    A fire break is for fire fighting vehicles to travel on, hence their width. Forest fires easily 'jump' a fire break through burning embers or just the heat or ferocity of the fire.
