Donna, your boots look like the business. Coming from my climate I get a kick out of the top windshield angle blowing right at you. As a passenger If you can't handle time on the RS you domed to a cage or worse, a touring toilet. There are not many bikes in the sport/touring range that are more compliant for a two up than the RS. Nice park at 4:11. My girlfriend is not a motorcyclist but she did 8 plus hours on the RS without complaint. After a few days she told me she was done with more than 2 hour rides. IMHO the RS is awesome for 2 up riding if its in your blood to begin with. RIde on GG.
Thank you for your comment. 🙂 I do like my boots. They are quite comfortable once I add my ortho insoles, and I love the fact that they were not expensive...that way there is more money for my hobbies! 😀 I actually enjoy being on the bike. Sometimes my hip joints or calves, or both cramp up, which can be very uncomfortable and difficult to undo on the bike, but Wayne is always happy to stop if I have an issue of any type. I tend to be a quiet person and enjoy the solitude of being a pillion. While the only thing I see in front of me is the back of his helmet, I can enjoy the scenery to the left and right, and I actually spend a lot of time just looking at the clouds in the sky and daydreaming or just thinking about any- and everything. I can do that because I know that Wayne is a very good rider, and I am not at all afraid. Don't tell my husband, but every time he speaks to me on the bike, he is interrupting my reverie(and upsetting my equilibrium)! Shhhh. Winky winky. 😜 The things I don't like about it have to do mostly with not being on the bike. We wear all the gear all the time, which I absolutely agree with. I prefer short rides with no stops. I hate how I feel after a couple of hours in all of the gear. I don't like the consequences of the heat(We are in Texas, after all), the messy hair, the boots not made for walking, the putting on and taking off and putting on of all the bits, the worry of leaving our belongings on the bike while we take a break. We have gone on a couple of longer rides that were enjoyable. One was to a park, but we brought our swimwear and parked near the swim area. This gave us a break from the heat, and dispelled concern about our belongings. Another was an overnight trip. While we did have to go everywhere on the bike, we had a hotel room to cool off in. I am looking forward to our mini rally trip at the end of September. I don't know how I will fare, but I will definitely find out if it is something I would like to do more often.
I forgot to mention that I think I prefer the RS to the Tracer. I know that we have bumped helmets on the Tracer, but never on the RS. One of the things I don't like when I am on the bike is riding very fast...when Wayne feels he needs to overtake another vehicle, or when we are on a high-speed highway. Again, I am not necessarily afraid, but it is just not enjoyable to me, and I do experience some anxiety because I know there are drivers who are not as careful.
@@nervousnellie1 and how about the wind on your helmet? Did it bother? How tall are you? My wife also shares the same thoughts about being a pillion: the sensations it offers and the smell of nature, so different of traveling by car.👍
The Tracer is a slightly larger bike than the RS, seat to seat, aside from being taller. Sitting next to each other it odd readily apparent. Because I am more leaned forward on the RS the space between our helmets is larger on the RS, but that is it.
Good to see Donna on a proper bike. Thumbs up for that alone. :)
More to come. 👍

Dave I will certainly show her your wonderful comment. 🙂

@@nervousnellie1 I am pleased you like the RS better, as it is!

How could the Tracer possibly have more space?
