The part where the lava drains would have to be a 3rd room of Flood Escape, as You're going UP into the pipe, and the 3rd room in Flood Escape is normally where you go down it. You could notice that The Ruins are basically you going through FE1, but reverse.
I love these references to the old fe1 it's nice to see that (it was destroyed) crazy puts a lot of effort to recreate the old fe1 lobby without having it in your face about it

Wait, the rooms are colored randomly. Maybe its the third room in HARD difficulty. This is because at the code room at the start, both of the controls for solving the puzzle have extra size. You know what I mean? Easy: Small controls only Medium: Big control and small control Hard: Big controls only The controls are what you use to solve the code in the final room.
Things you might have missed / Theories : 1.In the last Part of Beneath the Ruins you can see the outside of the flood escape 1 rooms 2.The second room in Beneath the Ruins ( which is the lava going down ) thats how the water / flood happens 3.The third room was supposed to be an extreme room 4.The 1st room in familiar ruins was a discarded room from fe2 5.The last one is that the rooms we see at the room that we saw after the training area was also another discarded room B.O.N.U.S : The next Ruins map i think is the extreme room
I have a theory, after the disaster of flood scape 1 (that i think is familiar ruins) i think the levels have a relation, because the end of familiar ruins is very similar to the start of beneath the ruins, we can say that the wraps behind us (in beneath the ruins) are from the lava that was rising from the final part of familiar ruins. So what i think is that the players were playing normally until tge disaster ocurred, the highest point was the door where we appear when we scape (in fe1) the players remain alive but the zone that they entered isnt completely safe. After going trough the remaining ruins they reached the final room where they find the guide and tell them what happened (but its still a mystery), but he tells the player that they are safe, that they have rebuilding plans, because we can see that he holds a paper that says fe2 Please like this coment so i hope boon see this
I think the last rooms are destroyed pieces of the Extreme Mode in FE1. As if its under the actual building, its also black and white just like the original.

It’s crazy how that all happened.... from an amazing fun game to broken down, demolished, fiery ruins. It’s a total mystery how this all happened, and I wish I knew what did happen.
FE2 didnt have enough power so they had to take FE1's power, then medium lift exploded, filled with lava and then the rest of FE1 exploded and filled with lava
I think that the paper that Guide has is probably from Crazy saying that he made a new game, the Guide was waiting untill the disaster happened, Then he had to hide in that small room, Crazy was not able to reach him and he got replaced by another (kind of) guide. And i think the reason for the spawn platform to be raised in Familiar ruins is for it to be some kind of safety system.
Every year after FE2 released the flood escape lobby has been getting more rusty, showing it getting neglected overtime and slowly getting damaged. How far into the future FE2 is from FE1 canonically is unknown but basically Crazyblox kept neglecting flood escape 1 in favour of flood escape 2 and it destroyed itself overtime.
Finally! Someone who also realized the FE1 ane the Beneath the Ruins. I was surprised no one realized that but here you are! Thankfully, i am not the only one who noticed that...Oh, how i miss the FE1. The coil, the dash, the sword for trolling and the rooms which have Singleplayer, training and Extreme...I'll play it again tomorrkw.
Your theory makes sense. The fact that there's a map called "FAMILIAR Ruins" And beneath there is "Beneath the Ruins" with broken map parts is actually making a pretty good point

I guess a lava tsunami thing must have come and left a box on it and destroyed the room. 2:05 I believe this is the map "Pipeline" That has a truss thats about as long as the 3 trusses in this area combined. The 1st button would be the button in this. it would have fallen on boxes (Which are below the button in pipeline) and the button in pipeline that i am talking about adds a pipe for you to walk across. Instead, since its destroyed, This could actually make a pipe that sucks the lava into it. That makes the lava drain. the only thing that doesnt make sense is the exit's area. the exit would haeve to be below the button in pipeline , but it isnt.
At familiar ruins we ended at the escape door and on beneath the ruins we start at the escape door, so it means familiar ruins and beneath the ruins are connected. That is my theory.

I have done further research, and this room is actually FE1's "This Is It". It consists of metal triangles stacked on top of each other in the corners of the room. One of them IS actually hollow, containing 3 crates to jump on as the water rises. In Beneath The Ruins, those three boxes are floating in lava outside of where the map theoretically is. also, when the walls of "this is it" break off, I guarantee that it would look like beneath the ruins' final room. also, since the walls are broken, you can see through to another map that's yellow. if you die while playing endless in the solo room, there is a chance that you glitch out of the map and fall. while you are falling, you can see a room that is YELLOW! it is the middle room in a set of three connected ones, in the middle of two other rooms exactly alike either side, just colored differently. so I can assure you that you can see room 2 of the medium multiplayer lift. (Its execlusive room on flood escape 1) as you can see theres has some left over wall parts on the roof so its basically execlusive room but wall got destroyed so that turned into larger room and 2:09 is one of flood escape 1 map! (But its not in game) but story is going back to escaping room to execlusive room so its should be part of the fe1 map that didnt released!

It's the same as familiar ruins. If you swim in the lava outside, you'll see a flood escape door there. There's also a flood escape sign in the room. So Beneath The Ruins is another part of Familiar Ruins
2:45 the rooms are prob missing cuz the corner is Shorter so it probably collapsed inside of the room and made walls, and everything is cracked cuz of ruins too and also the guide was living in FE1 so he prob was there when it all happened and he escaped through the ruins and ended up in the endzone..
i noticed something after completing beneath the ruins, once you complete it exit and go through the lava to that extra space, if u did it correctly before the map changes, you can see the familiar ruins starting vent to the next room. I don't know if it is true though but the heights of the two rooms are very similar. I know this video was uploaded a year ago but i only noticed it today.
Ghostly_xX is a replacement of the FE2 Guide and the FE1 guide has moved to another safe place after Beneath the Ruins Cave was blocked. FE2 was opened but now,the elevator to "Lava Tower" map was exploded,everyone was entering the tunnel to FE2 LVL 30 Room. You may asking what will happend to the tunnel? no the training places rooms were there but there supposed to be were the blocked off side is EDIT: also the last room in BTR is extreme mode it has similar structures it uses lots of ladders and the part after the lowering lava is the bonus rounds rock hallway and the room before the last room is just a random facility I guess and the place where the guide is at is the elevator at extreme mode where the door is at to start extreme
One more thing that it is the same in both BTR ( beneath the ruins ) and FE1 ( flood escape 1) , FE1 , there is a scratch on the wall near the place you escaped from . In the BTR , at the spawning part , behind you is a scratch looks exactly like the scratch in FE1 I just talked about .
We go to the lobby from the medium difficulty lift, we go to the exit from there, we go back to a random stage from a pipe, we go back to the parkour testing room, we use an air vent to go extreme, and lastly find the guide.

Story of FE1 Guide 3: the fe2 guide ran until he found a safe place he liked to be a shopper but that's his job now he was so safe he was looking at the people doing maps the FE2 Guide think crazyblox added beneath the ruins but the players wanted him to play so he played and played until he beated sinking ship he was so afraid and went back to his job [to be contiued]

Ay Boon! You forgot something! When you finish the puzzle in hard. You see the grass and the slate! Also Boon, in the start of BTR, there's this white thing and it has red stuff sticking out right? That's from the end from any map from Flood Escape 1, that white thing is also the teleporter to the outside of the lobby. So that means that Familiar Ruins was continued. You can tell from the end of Familiar Ruins and the start of BTR. *Corrupted Flood Escape 1*

Iknow im SUPER late but I have a theory. So maybe in the meantime sometimes the Guide trains to escape the facilty incase of an emergency. And which it did. The lava began to flow, he thought he would be safe in training but no. Luckily someone dug a hole to the Extreme area and The Guide went in there. Because of his training he got to the little hole. (End area) And he just waited for help. That's where you come in. You save the Guide as you jump through the shambles. And finally, you dug a hole into the FE2 lobby. Alas the random bowl of water in the lobby. And the guide went back to the regular FE1 area, knowing servers have different events. But this event will happen everytime a server was made, sooner or later, repeating the cycle. Oh and the picture on the table where the Guide is found? He took a picture of the old area to remember the old area before it was in shambles. END CASE!
Boon Moon u know what I noticed? From Familiar ruins to Beneath the ruins its FE1 Lobby going Backwards So it means That The end of Familiar ruins is Where u came from The game in FE1 So familiar ruins is the lobby of FE1 While Beneath is the Game But ruined in FE1 I like That Crazyblox added a hole backstory to it!
Maybe there are some quest in flood escape 2. Becuase if in 1st room in familiar ruin there are a door. Idk what it's but seen its a secret door. And if u go to survival area u saw the guide in fe1 and there is note say fe2 idk what it's. it just like a code for the secret door.
I know im late but in beneath the ruins in the last part you can see the truss ladder from fe1 extreme mode so in conclusion training room in fe1 and extreme mode in fe1 also were destroyed in beneath the ruins
The second last room resembles an FE1 map "This is it". I think so since Crazyblox used the map and turned it into one of the rooms in the map in his stream.

2:45 the rooms are prob missing cuz the corner is Shorter so it probably collapsed inside of the room and made walls, and everything is cracked cuz of ruins too
and also the guide was living in FE1 so he prob was there when it all happened and he escaped through the ruins and ended up in the endzone..
Even the soundtrack was edited. The original FE1 has the more cheery vibe while the FE2 ver. Gives you this feeling of nostalgia and despair
3:13 there are yellow and red facilities on the left side which used to be medium and hard maps i think
i noticed something after completing beneath the ruins, once you complete it exit and go through the lava to that extra space, if u did it correctly before the map changes, you can see the familiar ruins starting vent to the next room. I don't know if it is true though but the heights of the two rooms are very similar. I know this video was uploaded a year ago but i only noticed it today.
Ghostly_xX is a replacement of the FE2 Guide and the FE1 guide has moved to another safe place after Beneath the Ruins Cave was blocked.
FE2 was opened but now,the elevator to "Lava Tower" map was exploded,everyone was entering the tunnel to FE2 LVL 30 Room. You may asking what will happend to the tunnel?
The tunnel roof breaks apart and stones falls to prevent from lava entering.

fun fact: the training part was not like boon moon told you it is reverse that what boon moon told you the enterance from outside was behind you after you fall there and then the end of the training room part at beneath the ruins was the exit

no the training places rooms were there but there supposed to be were the blocked off side is
EDIT: also the last room in BTR is extreme mode it has similar structures it uses lots of ladders and the part after the lowering lava is the bonus rounds rock hallway and the room before the last room is just a random facility I guess and the place where the guide is at is the elevator at extreme mode where the door is at to start extreme
1:42 End Of Familiar Ruins, And The Start Of Beneath The Ruins
I have a feeling that this use to be a abandoned wear house and that's why the beams in the out side are rusted when the game first came out
I may not like Flood escape 2, but this is actually really neat. A pretty nice nod to the original :)
One more thing that it is the same in both BTR ( beneath the ruins ) and FE1 ( flood escape 1) , FE1 , there is a scratch on the wall near the place you escaped from . In the BTR , at the spawning part , behind you is a scratch looks exactly like the scratch in FE1 I just talked about .
3:02 I think it is from Extreme mode lobby and map, I played Extreme mode and it looks familiar
We go to the lobby from the medium difficulty lift, we go to the exit from there, we go back to a random stage from a pipe, we go back to the parkour testing room, we use an air vent to go extreme, and lastly find the guide.
3:08 The area kinda looks like the extreme area with the black/orange color pallete but I'm not sure.
Maybe that’s why it’s called “Familiar ruins” and “Beneath the ruins”

Story of FE1 Guide 3: the fe2 guide ran until he found a safe place he liked to be a shopper but that's his job now he was so safe he was looking at the people doing maps the FE2 Guide think crazyblox added beneath the ruins but the players wanted him to play so he played and played until he beated sinking ship he was so afraid and went back to his job [to be contiued]

Ay Boon! You forgot something! When you finish the puzzle in hard. You see the grass and the slate! Also Boon, in the start of BTR, there's this white thing and it has red stuff sticking out right? That's from the end from any map from Flood Escape 1, that white thing is also the teleporter to the outside of the lobby. So that means that Familiar Ruins was continued. You can tell from the end of Familiar Ruins and the start of BTR.

OMG I JUST REALISED IT COULD BE CALLED BENEATH THE RUINS BECAUSE FAMILIAR RUINS IS MORE LIKE THE MAIN LOBBY BUT BENEATH THE RUINS LOOKS MORE LIKE THE TRAINING AREA AND THE TRAINING AREA IS UNDERNEATH THE LOBBY AND IT LOOKS LIKE SOME PARTS OF MAPS AND YOU NEED TO GO DOWN THE LIFT AND THATS ALSO UNDER THE LOBBY

Iknow im SUPER late but I have a theory. So maybe in the meantime sometimes the Guide trains to escape the facilty incase of an emergency. And which it did. The lava began to flow, he thought he would be safe in training but no. Luckily someone dug a hole to the Extreme area and The Guide went in there. Because of his training he got to the little hole. (End area) And he just waited for help. That's where you come in. You save the Guide as you jump through the shambles. And finally, you dug a hole into the FE2 lobby. Alas the random bowl of water in the lobby. And the guide went back to the regular FE1 area, knowing servers have different events. But this event will happen everytime a server was made, sooner or later, repeating the cycle. Oh and the picture on the table where the Guide is found? He took a picture of the old area to remember the old area before it was in shambles. END CASE!
Boon Moon u know what I noticed? From Familiar ruins to Beneath the ruins its FE1 Lobby going Backwards So it means That The end of Familiar ruins is Where u came from The game in FE1 So familiar ruins is the lobby of FE1 While Beneath is the Game But ruined in FE1 I like That Crazyblox added a hole backstory to it!
so thats why after beat familiar ruins and it remains at insane beneath the ruins is next and basically these two maps are flood escape reversed

Maybe there are some quest in flood escape 2. Becuase if in 1st room in familiar ruin there are a door. Idk what it's but seen its a secret door. And if u go to survival area u saw the guide in fe1 and there is note say fe2 idk what it's. it just like a code for the secret door.

I know im late but in beneath the ruins in the last part you can see the truss ladder from fe1 extreme mode so in conclusion training room in fe1 and extreme mode in fe1 also were destroyed in beneath the ruins
The second last room resembles an FE1 map "This is it". I think so since Crazyblox used the map and turned it into one of the rooms in the map in his stream.
for me the story would be that when the new game came out or the sequel little by little the first game was abandoned until it was left alone and as the guide seems to be the only one who took care of the place until the creator or something else that knows a cataclysm or the creator himself destroyed the map to make it a new level for the second game but the day was stuck there And I could not escape did everything he could to get out of the ruins and found a role Maybe the walls of the publicity that I'm going to come out with a new game may be on the floor that the creator accidentally shot him read it and then I try to find where the second game was looking throughout the building on the map and as he saw that after the lava appeared, he decided to stay in a cave where he saw and waited And finally he could find people but decided to stay there because I consider it as his new home the ruins of the place where what work
1:02 the only difference is that the vent is red instead of yellow because you are playing hard difficulty instead of Medium Difficulty. If I were you I would play medium levels to compare but we understand what’s going on!
