Robert Schumann’s ‘Fantasiestücke, Op.12’ is a representative collection of Schumann’s works, strongly characterized by literary elements and fantasy. It consists of eight pieces, and through its fantastical expression, it highlights imagination, freedom, and diversity in form and content. Each of the eight fantasies has a poetic title, and while not using the method of theme development, each theme achieves an organic unity. However, unlike other collections, this work does not necessarily have to be performed all at once, as it is permissible to view each piece as separate due to their tonal relationships and content.
슈만(Robert Schumann)의 ‘환상소곡집(Fantasiestücke, Op.12)’은 문학적 요소와 환상성이 강하게 나타나는 슈만의 대표인 모음곡 작품으로 8개의 곡으로 구성되어 있으며, 환상적인 표현을 통해 상상력과 자유로움과 형식, 내용을 통한 다양함이 돋보이는 작품입니다. 8개의 환상은 각각 시적인 표제를 지녔으며, 주제의 전개 수법을 쓰지 않으면서도 각 주제가 유기적인 통일성을 이루고 있습니다. 하지만 이 작품은 다른 모음곡들과 달리 작품 전체를 반드시 한 번에 이어서 연주해야만 한다는 구속력을 가지고 있는 것은 아닌데, 각 곡의 조성관계나 내용상으로 볼 때 분리된 곡으로 보아서 무방하기 때문입니다.
