On anybody else in the royal family, it would have been a travesty but c'mon, Diana made anything look gorgeous which is why she should have had a fashion license to wear what she chose regardless of royal protocol. I wasn't a fan of the scarf hanging off but Diana even pulled that off. So glad she wore the revenge dress, she deserved to be able to do so. Meanwhile, Camilla still wore bad fitting frumpy clothes to match her frumpiness even though she was not a royal. Loved it!

Her Butler picked out the dress. She was mortified that day and unsure how she was going to face the public. Her Butler, chose her outfit and encouraged her to hold her head high and face the world with all of the beauty and grace she could muster.

I definitely didn't need to watch The Crown in order to know how much of an lovely angel and goddess Princess Diana was, and will always be? I am so grateful to her because from the time I was a little girl watching her(during those times I was being mentally/physically abused by a mother who allowed for me to be sexually/mentally/physically abused by my absent father's soulless monster of a brother)step out of that carriage and resembling an angel, I had found the courage for myself to persevere. I also learned from her to never allow anyone who mistreated me, to never let their monster tendencies rub off onto me, so I stayed sweet and caring but would learn to defend myself and to love myself! I would often say to my Princess Diana pictures "how do we manage it all, my angel?" I remember asking my abusive uncle one time after I turned 18, at a family dysfunction one time "Can u believe Princess Diana has passed away?" to what he replied "Why should I care, she's never done anything for me?" to which I replied "Well of course U wouldn't care because a person would have to possess an ounce of humanity and kindness to even begin to understand her, plus she's given me the strength to cope with all ur horrible mistreatment and BS....so of course U wouldn't understand her!" As I walked away my Mummy Dearest had told me to apologize and I said "Actually, I'm the one who's long overdue for apologies from both u monsters, ur another person who Princess Diana has helped me cope and heal from, so of course u would never understand what she was about either?" OMG! It takes a very special human being to have touched and helped as many women as she has, but never even had to have known them personally! RIP ~ Beautiful Spirit ❤

I saw this dress twice a few years ago here in Ft. Lauderdale at the Museum of Art. It was the world tour exhibition. I took my mom and then took my sister around Christmas time that year. All her beautiful gowns, shoes, dresses etc. The big surprise was her wedding gown and accessories. Couldnt believes I was actually in the same room with her historic iconic items. Her briefcase, Louis Vuitton suitcases etc. I picked up a table book & a beautiful trinket box. I hope they bring the exhibition back to south Florida. I'm on board for a 3rd visit. I love 90s fashion 😍 as a kid I loved watching my mom get ready and dresses just like this one..
