  • Today we give our beautiful female Brachypelma Boehmii aka Mexican Fire Leg Tarantula a beautiful new nature inspired enclosure.
Using materials we have at home as well as a short visit to the Nature Store and we have everything we need to make a breathtaking enclosure fit for the Queen!
I hope you enjoy todays video.
Let me know what you think of the build.
    Cheers!
    Biggs

I always enjoy watching a fellow tarantula keeper take the time to make an enclosure unique and fitting to the species.

I knew I wasn’t the only person that walks into there backyard for natural things for an enclosure
Moss sticks leaves ect are all free but people pay for them

Nicely done, love the enclosure, I have a store behind me, it's where I now get all my bits n pieces from, even the living plants, can't beat it. 👍🏻

Beautiful specimen! Thanks for showing the hairy throwing aspect in action....i’d never seen that being done, only the bald patches left after the event. Nicely done

Mine hasn't kicked hairs at me this molt, in over a month lol. Before that, it was burried for over 2 months and would kick if I lifted the tape to check on it even. It's still under 2" but giving me a little hope it might be a chill one.

So the hairs bother you? They don’t seem to affect me at all however I am still cautious to not get them in my eyes, nose or mouth. I do know several that get horrible reactions to them.

@@themadaquaristsrealmnatura2556 I'm not sure yet if they do. I'm pretty sensitive and allergic to lots of things, so probably. I remember the hairs from Grammastola rosea even did as a kid when they got on my arms. I assume they won't be fun. L. klugi is the only other one with hairs I got so far, trying to just keep it to a minimum.

@@themadaquarist I haired myself last night on the ankle with L. klugi somehow. Must've been like one little hair, was being so careful and yeah it's brutal lol. It's never kicked but I guess I touched a molting mat or something. I fell asleep after an hour of burning so I'm not sure how long it lasted, but was like I just walked through wet stinging nettles was exactly what it felt like, definitely getting some gloves.

@@JasonBooth79 yikes! That’s crazy. Sorry for you my friend i fully understand your nettle comparison as we have it in the farm but thankfully the hairs thus far have had little
      To no affect.

Thank you for your comment. She has made it her own. She rambles all over the grass. If I had used harder materials I would definitely agree and have changed it already. She seems content
