Howzit Bradda , So hows da 35's been. Any big issues. Maybe off roading ? Putting 33's on my 08' did all the mods but those 35's Damn !!! Just wondering. Mahalo for da Vids Bra 🤙🏽
When I went from my stock 265/17s up to 285 Mud Terrains from General Grabber, my mpg's dropped by 5, still won't go back through. I like the stabillity from unsprung weight, corners planted. My tires are noise-y though, so I might look for something with less road noise next like an AT tire. You may want to close that gap between the fender liner and body. You don't want dirt and muck going in there.
I think you’re wrong. 5 mpg is too much. You’re comparing what the truck reads right? Well your larger tires you go further than your truck thinks you’re going. Do the math it should only be 1-2 mpg in reality
@@alexs825 I drive fast and is a little heavy on the gas pedal. I have ECT always ON too. I do only average 14.5mpg. I spent $400~ $450 on gas/month. Lately, I’m thinking of getting a second electric vehicle for daily commute. Maybe a Tesla 3 or model Y and not use the truck. It’s paid off anyway.

Yes, as much as possible. This video is older. Currently running a 333 Fabrication cam eliminator kit with DK cam tabs, maxed caster. Thanks for watching.
No, nothing is going to clear without some rubbing. You will be cutting and grinding. If you go off road it will need more cutting and grinding. If you stay on the pavement there will be less modification to the wells. Thanks for watching.
Good stuff! I can't believe these Fuel wheels have a +1 offset. I thought for sure they were the -12 offset option. I guess the combination of 17x9 wheels and the tire size gives the stance a nice poke.
I’m running negative 12 on the truck not the plus ones. Most people run the negative 12s. I put up the plus ones as it will help with less trimming. Thanks for watching.
Good video! I'm about to do mine for 305/70r16 so this helps. What did you do for the area in front of the tire? I'm gonna try to mold it with a heat gun before maybe cutting the liner and lower bumper.
I have mine cut to make way for the aftermarket bumper, what is left of the inner fender in the front is pushed forward and bolted into existing holes on the lower section of the factory bumper. If you look from underneath you will see the holes for the bolts in the plastic. Good luck.
@@TimmyG2011 you should be fine with just molding it. I molded the front to fit my 35s Toyo MTs. I do not rub up front and ive been off roading to cleghorn, sandstone canyon etc
Thanks for posting this information. I'm looking to run a similar setup. wheel spacers to avoid hitting the upper control arms? How much lift do you have on that truck? What is the offset on those Wheels?
I ran wheel spacers for a little, plan on more trimming with spacers. Lift is sitting right under 4 inches. Those wheels where -12 offset. Thanks for watching.
Hey man, great vids. Question: I have a 2in lift, Toytec Aluma 2.5s, I will be running 285/75/R16, I got the cab mount chop done, but do I need to do all the cutting you did on the fender as well as all the cutting you did on your viper cut video? Or do you think minor cutting will do it? thank you sir
You could start with minor and then work into more cutting depending on how much time you spend off road. If the truck strictly stays on pavement, its minor cutting. Any off-roading will require more cutting as the suspension cycles it will hit. Thanks for watching.
Having a tough time deciding on 295/75/16 or 285/75/16.. ive got a cmc done and may have to do this trim if i go with the 295s . How was it wheeling after this cut still rubbing?
I'm a yes, but it is subjective. You could always pick up the 295s with plans for the future to re gear. See how it feels, then decide after a bit. The gears will help move the truck from a stand still, makes it feel easier, lighter, quicker. Thanks for watching.
They have stayed in place kind of well. If I get the tire pushed into it on the trails it does move them around. I just shove them back in. I’m thinking about trimming more.
How smooth is your ride with that much preload? I have the same set up but with dirt king uppers and deavers in the rear and on road it’s pretty bouncy with just one inch of preload. Thanks!
No diff drop or needle bearing. The plan here was always a re gear and selectables from ECGS so the needle bearing will be done at that time. I do not have a long arm set up. It's a mid travel suspension on stock length axles. Thanks for watching.
That -38 is a killer. You will need to check your caster, make sure it’s maxed. Go get an alignment at a shop that deals with lifted trucks. Tell them you need the max caster. Good luck. There is always more cutting and pounding with a sledge hammer.

I have read on the forums people stuffing a 33 in the stock spare location. It will take a little fab work. There are some metal brackets/ ears that position the spare which would have to be removed. Thanks for watching.
