SIERRA FOOTHILLS - Jackson, San Andreas, New Melones Lake & Sonora, California

Today we're heading south through the Sierra Foothills on HWy 49 toward the town of Sonora, California. Along the way we'll pass through the towns of Jackson, San Andreas and check out the New Melones Lake, lots of drone fun including a flyover of Sonora itself.

This is my home, Sonora. I used to live in Copper. Drove all the time to Angels Camp and San Andreas. So…that’s not San Andreas according to your video but downtown Angels Camp. AND I know some of the people in downtown at that World Rally! I saw some of my close friends. The candy store…that was an old bank which they still have the vault you can come into. There are tunnels from the Gold Mine times under Sonora especially under the Presbyterian Church, which was the pretty red church you showed.

Mokelumne River----Ma quall la mi River...Spent every weekend at New Malones lake fishing. Great Restaurant in Jackson Ca and the Chicken Ranch Bingo Hall.

One of my very favorite little gold mining towns off hwy 49, Yahoo! BTW...got home Friday to Tollhouse, from my 10 week stint in the hospital....

Nobody can pronounce that river. We just call it the Moke River
