1. Memorize your lines 2. Know what your character wants 3. Play around with a scene, don’t stick with one decision (acting is reacting and people are not robots) 4. Know your moments before 5. Text analysis (write down all of the facts about your character and implement them) 6. Start asking yourself “why?” (Why is your character doing what he’s doing) 7. Don’t talk to loud, talk in your natural frequency 8. Watch out for big body movements (don’t exaggerate anything) 9. Eyes are telling the story 10. Have fun with the process
I know so little about acting but there is something that keeps telling me to find my way into the industry and these videos are such great help to understand more! I just want you to know that I am grateful for your videos and teaching.👑
I want to add something to point number one, 1:46 is as far as I’ve watched so far so idk if he mentions it but You can’t do it alone, sure if it’s a monologue and only a monologue than that’s fine, but if you are in the scene with somebody else than you need to practice with somebody else, it’s a mistake I’ve constantly made and it’s lead me to be less confident when it counts. So it doesn’t matter who your working with it could be somebody you barely know or your sibling but it is so much easier when you work with somebody when your memorizing
What helps me with knowing what the character wants is going over M.O.T Motivation(Why) Why do I want this? Objective(What) What do I want? Tactic(How) How will I get it?
👑👑👑 Your points are very powerful and easy to implement Your videos are like a blessing for actors who were financially weak and not able to approach any acting institute or work shop Finally a big thanks to you ❤️❤️❤️ for making this kinds of videos🙏🙏🙏
I never skip through your videos man!!! You give the best and most useful advice ever and I love how you just get straight to the point👍👊 thanks bro you're the reason I've been booking roles and chasing my passion 👑👑👑👑👑
This is nice to know! I’m generally someone who acts in theatre, and in real life i have big exaggerated movements that most people don’t have,. I really want to learn to act realistically aswell so thanks!
I have a question for you: you said that we only need to find and know the real facts and not our opinions, but I thought instead that based on what I learn about my character I could then invent new information to give more creativity and richness to my character (e.g. I thought about creating her past, her favorite songs, items that she would buy or that would make her happy, even maybe a zodiac sign and stuff like that; anything that would make me feel more connected to my character). Is this wrong? Could this distract me from my real character? Should I let go those things and just focus on the real, scripted facts? And thank you very very much because this video is a gem🙌
I'm good at memorizing stuff I've watched a certain show tons of times and can quote a majority maybe not the majority but a lot of the dialog from a single episode.
Hi, I am Abdul Samad. (From Pakistan ) (Asian region) you are the 1 person whose videos I have seen to learn the craft of acting and really all the videos are so informative on learning the craft of acting , I wanted to ask you one thing people always relate modeling with acting for me I think these are completely 2 different things , please share your thoughts and if possible please make a video on it and lastly again thanks for sharing such a big bundle of knowledge about acting .

I wouldn't say it's 100% necessary. However, I studied acting for film and within them three years I can safely say my skill and confidence greatly improved. I wouldn't be where I am today without it. It also offers the opportunity for you to be surrounded by other creatives. Not everyone's path is the same though. There are plenty of short courses out there if that's more your thing and of course loads of resources online. Whichever path you take you just need to know that it's going to take work, practice and passion.
In my last production people say I was very believable and when I portrayed a character that I really didn't like no one noticed that I didn't like the character
I’m a 12 year old who has always loved being on stage and performing for people in like school plays. I want to get in to the child acting industry, does anyone have any tips for me?

Yup, I just have other videos logged in to put out too, so they will be coming soon 😁
🎉
Is non citizens are elligible for any kind of role ?
Yeah,a lot of foreign actors can work in the USA
I think my problem is, my teacher says I don't sound real. I'm trying to figure out how to work that.👑
Your problem could lie anywhere from points 2-7
@@TheActorsAcademy I've realized that. I've been in a group on discord, for voice actors.
