    That is so true! My acting coach nearly ALWAYS asks me, "What is your objective here? What does your character want? What are they trying to actively accomplish in this scene?"

    Thank you for these gems of information! I started attending acting classes in 2020 after my dad passed away. I realized how short life is so I took a chance and faced my fear of performing in front of people. Now I'm working on improving each day and I can't thank you enough for helping improve my technique and overall confidence with your awesome channel 🙏🏽

      I appreciate it! Yes its been a tough 3 years but I know alot of people have been through worse so I'm just striving to stay positive and focused on acting and performing. By the way, I love how you teach in a humble manner. That makes it so much easier to learn 🤙🏽

      I've always say that acting is so linked to living your life, when you know people, experience situation then you start having a perspective of life from the different points and perspectives and when acting becomes a little bi easier...... Acting means relationships to me. i was so in acting that i forgot about my life.... if as long as you teach us not only about acting but experience life and continue motivating us with your wisdom....... me, i guy who lives in a country with almost no acting possibilities, i was motivated by you, THANK YOU

    I like your idea of having a process. Every time I audition I do some centering of my thoughts. I also write in a journal about what I did

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  2 роки тому +8

      Yes, having a process is soooo important for the actor. A musician, painter, and martial artist all have a process that gets them from point A to B, acting isn’t any different. Having a process will make your life so much easier 😁👍🏼

    • @thepcgamer7678
      @thepcgamer7678 2 роки тому

      This probably is a simple common sense but when you go to your audition you introduce yourself to the people then do they give you a script to perform right then and there so you have to read it quickly and visualize the character in the scenes so you can't practice before?

  • @hannahprobst

    Great video! I especially liked what you said about having a process. At my last audition, I wasn't comfortable with how I did because I didn't have a process and I didn't feel prepared. So, that was really helpful, and I'm definitely going to develop a process for future auditions! 👍

    These mistakes may seem like aspects that are really simple to remember but it is common for beginners and intermediate actors to neglect these tips...💙❤️
    By the way could you create a video about going to drama school and your opinion on whether it's necessary to attend or not. I am going to be applying for drama school here in the United Kingdom and after I get in, during summer break I'm going to contemplate traveling to America to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NY💙

    When i read the script , automatically i start thinking i should say this line like this and emphasie this word and laugh here , get angry here etc..
    Is it a beginners mistake ?
    Or instincts that happens with everyone
    What should i do ? Like keep that or wait and learn more from script .
    And how to find the RIGHT mood and RIGHT emotions and RIGHT way to say a particular line and word.

    Hey,is there ways to give auditions for home for movies or shows?coz I'm literally not allowed for acting,so i wanna be able to send self tapes from home so that I don't have mix up my schedule but can still prove that acting can succeed

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  2 роки тому

      Yeah, they’re called self tapes. Self tapes are where you record yourself from home and send in your audition tapes. If you don’t have an agent to send you out for projects I made a video on how you can do it on your own. Check it out if it’s what you’re looking for ua-cam.com/video/Ra7MIvQv9nE/v-deo.html

    That is amazing but a issue I have is after watching a tv show and blooper I’ve fallen in love with being in a cast having those fun moments and it’s all just amazing to me but I pre-registered for intro into acting and acting for the camera but im worried that I won’t get very far because I’m a Indian that wears a turban I have everything to offer but I am not willing to let go of my religion like cutting my hair so what can I do about this because it really discouraging for me to push for it?

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  2 роки тому

      You should never do anything that compromises your beliefs/character as a human being. If you feel strongly about something, stick to your guns on it. In truth, will there be some roles that you will be limited from? Yes, but in other ways you are much more genuine for roles looking for actors like yourself too. In the end, acting is very difficult for everyone anyways, no matter what they believe in, so you mine as well go in with what you believe and still be able to be proud of who you are at the end of the day. Be you :)

    Thanks bro this was something that i wished to know when i was starting out. Bro a question,if I'm a actor and i'm studying directing and script, and experience in both, do i have more possibilities when auditioning, will casting directors see me as more professional? By the way..... Is that and Academy Award???

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  2 роки тому +1

      If you’re just starting out they are not really going to be paying attention to those things. They care more about your acting and if you fit the part

    My question my sound a little weird, but do you think it's possible a profissional headshot photographer Photoshop someone online? I mean, located in another country?

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  2 роки тому +1

      Lol I can honestly say I’ve never considered that one before 😂 Ultimately you want the headshot to look like you, not someone else. I like the idea of thinking outside the box, but whether or not it can be successfully achievable, I’m not sure 😅
