great build--great video... I would love to see you do a video on ds4 to db2 conversion----Please...lol
I could make it happen lol
Defiantly interested in the rear coolant cross over mod.. I'm just getting my engine pulled then replaced then starting with some upgrades. Hx35 3"down pipe4"exhaust, fuel system (filters/lift pump) turn up the 4911 IP, pyro, boost, oil temp, trany temp gauges
Ill make sure that video is uploaded this sunday coming and your on the right path 100% shell be a beast thats for sure!
Any issues with the cowl hood and air flow under the hood? Some think that it'll hamper the flow of air escaping from front to back/under the motor while underway. Looks good keep the mods going!
Nope i got a vent on hinges so that way if it is really hot i can open it and close in the real cold
Great video. What airfilter are you using for those HX 35 Turbos?
Just the regular acdelco or wix filters from rock auto but i got a set of mahles im gonna try out next
Hey awesome video I was curious if you might could help me figure out what turbos to run on my 6.2 I want to run twins but I’m looking for low end power and maybe 12psi max would really like to see 5-9psi. It’s a stock 6.2l that’s extremely healthy compared to other 6.2l that I have owned. I know I am looking for a odd combination but I just can’t find anything that would be small enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
2 gm8 turbos should be good or even gm6 turbos if your looking for better brand names get a hx30 thats pretty small and its what im going to next. My current set up is 2 hx35w's with 9-10cm exhaust housings each and 52mm compressor wheels which is a whopping 104mm of turbo so with the hx30's its more so 88-90mm of turbo and 12cm exhaust housing combined. Low end power will be much more noticable but also still could be to big for your set up as it is plus 12psi is good 100%
@@dieselnation555 thanks are the gm6/gm8 turbos smaller than the hx30?
@@nightfall5631 i honestly dont know but i know theyre small and bad as a single turbo so 2 should do the trick lol
As somone who is about to swap a 6.5 into a 454/nv4500 truck would you say I'm going to run into a shit ton of work going from a gas supplement to diesel
Yeah itll be a decent amount of work but its doable itll be cheaper than any other diesel swap thats for sure first things first whats your budget on it?
@@dieselnation555 well I have a little more of a budget than most people because I have a donor truck that has the computer however the nv4500 does need rebuilt before it is drivable
@@johnallen2784 ive never done a swap with a ds4 truck so im not sure of the wiring harness etc but only thing im thinking of is fuel tank sending unit lift pump fuel filter and yeah the computer consdiering shes a nv4500 thatll save some headache
Looking at possibly buying a 94 3500 4x4 dually with 221k miles it for $5k. Any suggest before buying it other than blowbuy, and leaks?
Check to see if the pmd Is relocated, check the oil cooler lines, check the front end for play cause the ball joints wear out quick and tie rods other than that I got a video I made a couple years ago you can check out on this channel for more info before you buy the truck
@@dieselnation555 will do! Thanks for the advice 👍
@@stormbreaker3027 anytime man
So my glow plug light wasn’t coming in and truck would crank but wouldn’t start. So figured my controller went out. I bought a new one and replaced it. Glow plug light came on and truck started fine. Go out today literally one day later and light isn’t coming on and they aren’t priming. What could be the issue? Can’t find any bad wires or bad ground. Any help would be thanks!
Any loose connections?
Any codes popping up?
@@dieselnation555 I’m going to double check, I didn’t notice any loose connections but might have over looked something. Also mines a 93.
@@SWBjr15 worse case worse manual glow plug switch
Coolant temp sensor, controllers the glowplug relay... rear passenger side head...
