Dude you won’t believe how hard it was to find a video that explains what cable/ driver you need to record to a daw on windows. Been looking all week. Thank you.
After spending two days frustrated and not understanding why the DAW wouldn't recognize the EAD I stumbled on your video. I had no idea when I was watching that you'd mention the driver issued and now problem solved. Thank you so much, and F Yamaha for not making this blatantly obvious for buyers of their product.
That’s exactly the issue I had!! I figured since it used the USB-B cable it’d be similar to that of a printer, and I assumed drivers. A quick google search solved that for me. Glad I could be of assistance to you!
Of course!! I’d definitely recommend it if you’re on the fence. You’ll love it! If you have any questions in the future please reach out! I’d be happy to help! Much love and respect ❤️
I saw someone on Reddit saying you can connect the EAD10 module to an audio interface by getting 2 1/4” cables going from the L and R outputs on the module to the interface. I would rather do that instead of plugging the printer cable into the computer USB, but will do that as a last resort. Do you think plugging in the L/R outputs into an audio interface would work? Thank you for this video it was really helpful!
Hey, I got problem with my EAD10 and laptop. I can hear everything played on my laptop through EAD10 but when I want to record drums along with it music stops. Do you have some idea why that happens?
One more question what type of protective ear plugs do you use? I purchased some at Gutiar Center that totally sucked!! Now I am using ear plugs foam ones but they work pretty good.
I actually use a set of gaming earbuds I got for free haha I’ve heard good things about shure iem’s, but I’d try some before committing. I think mine are JBL branded. They work great!
There are drivers that you may need to install online. Search up “Yamaha EAD-10 drivers” and that should help you out. I’m not a Mac user so I am rather uneducated in that sense. If you still have issues I’d reach out to Yamaha or apple directly :)
Nope! If you’re running headphones straight through the unit itself, there is zero latency, and even if you’re running a computer program, there is next to no latency, if any whatsoever. No need to worry!!
So funny story, I don’t use the rec n share app. I despise it. I record it via the regular camera app, then splice the song audio and my drum audio together. I’m listening to the song through the EAD10 in my ears whilst playing, then I just take the studio recording and overlay that in post :)

This is such a wonderful video! Thank you so much. This is not widely available in India so I'm waiting for the right opportunity to get one of these.

It would work either way! USB or 1/4” outputs. If you’re using the 1/4” you may only need one output though :)
@@tony_drumms thanks for the reply!
Great video, no bullsh**T, Bro WIPE DOWN YOUR DRUMS, they are very dusty!!!!!

Soon, my friend, soon.

Hi there! How can you connect it to a daw after installing the driver? Is it midi? Or is it midi and audio? Thank you.
Feel free to reach out on discord again! I’ll help you there :)
Dude. Thanks for suggesting driver download. Mine kept saying error.
Same issue I ran into when setting it up.
Glad I could help!

Is the audio from the ead10 delayed to the headphones

No need to worry!!
Where did you get that usb adapter for your phone
Amazon :)
@@tony_drumms thanks! Is it called lightning to usb camera adapter?
Sure is! No problem!!
@@tony_drumms if you’re recording on your phone on the rec n share app how do you get your song to be playing while you drum?

Your tom placement is terrible.
It’s what works for me. My toms are larger than “normal” so this is the best I can get at the moment.
Thanks for watching!
@@tony_drummslies! I’ve had my toms set up nicely aligned. 12 and 13 in toms.
