- Picking a new name as a non binary person can be really hard. So in today’s video, I’m going to be listing 50 cute non binary names for all my non binary folks out there.
Hello my lovely peeps! I think one of the coolest things about being non binary is getting to choose your own name but there’s so many names out there and a lot of the time you don’t know where to start. I know for us enbies out there picking a new name can be a lot so I made this video to help with that. Today I’m going to be listing 50 cute non binary names to hopefully start giving you an idea or at least a place to start when picking a new name. I also just want to remind everyone that you do not have to have a typical gender neutral name for it to be a non binary name. If you are non binary and your name is non binary no matter what it is.

For trans names one thing people can consider doing is asking their parents what they had planned to name them had they been born the other sex. It's not always a name you'll like, and not all parents have the for sight to pick an alternative name, but I think it's still a name to consider should you feel comfortable asking.

My given name is Taru. Even though it's traditionally a girl's name in my country (and I'm afab) I've actually always been extremely happy with it, because it doesn't sound or "look" very feminine. And it means "a legend" or "a saga" in my native language which is just awesome. As nb I'm very fortunate in that regard!

Ever since I was really young, I've had the nickname of "Loki", and as a genderfluid person I do appreciated having that as an quick and easy option if I ever decide that I'm not comfortable with my birth name. (For now I'm fine with having a gendered name IRL and going by "Spunky" on the internet)

I chose my name/was renamed by my partner. I used to go by Mark when I was identifying as trans masc. And around the time I was questioning my gender and if nonbinary fit me better. And he called me Markie when we met. So, when I came out as nonbinary, I chose Markie as my new name because it just felt right. That is my name and I'm proud to be nonbinary, I've never felt more myself until now.
My life's goal is to legally change my name to Anthony J Crowley just so I could remake the whole church scene from episode 3 of Good Omens for fun 😌😎✌️✨🌟⭐

I am straight cis woman but... I really like the idea of not only people in general getting to choose what they are named rather than what their parents decided, but also if I have kids someday I would like to give them a non-binary name, so they can decide who they want to be. I really like the name Rey (but I am also a fan of evangelion so maybe that why)

I feel like nonbinary names always have a really cool vibe! They're also really versatile as you can go for anything really.
My name "Erro" I sort of came up with on my own. When I created my username I wanted something creative, so I took my birth name Sierra and shortened it to Erra, which is what people called me online. Once I realized I was I nonbinary I changed it to Erro for a more gender neutral feel.
Including ✨Vibe✨ could even be a name 😊 I'm getting way spiritual in my list of possible ones haha
Even though I’m pretty sure I’m gonna stick with the name I got, this list is still really useful for me because I’m trying to write a book with some non-binary characters! One of them is named Robin, but I’ve been really struggling to find the other one’s name… so far, besides some ideas I got from your list, I’ve been thinking about the names Elliot and Basil!

My name is Ember, and although it is kinda close to my deadname (and I didn’t initially want a name like that) I’ve come to really vibe with it because of the meaning I’ve attributed to it. The world may be trying to put me out, but I’m still burning strong like an ember.

fun fact: I'm a cis girl (even tho I questioned my gender identity at times, I've never really felt uncomfortable about it), and yet, I've never EVER felt comfortable with my birth name. Ever. I don't know why, if it's because it's feminine or anything, still, that name wasn't me. Long story short... I chose another name as well! I go by Mashoon since age 10 :) and I guess I made this name neutral now ahah I think it was more masculine than anything😂
Also I've always been seriously in LOVE with neutral names, Max being my all time favorite name, and Morgan being another one that I really love 🥺 (I guess I like names that starts with M ahah)
My favorite is Auden. It’s kinda uncommon but super cool. Also the author with the last name Auden has great stuff, but the name means “old friend” idk, I just love this name lol. Great video tho, I’d love to see more!
These are all very cool. Since I figured out that I'm enby later in life, (late 30's), I've felt a bit odd about changing my name, since I've had it for such a long time and become very used to it, but it doesn't entirely fit either, as it's rather gendered. So I've just been using the first letter a lot of the time lately, and going by K. It's how I've signed my art for years anyway, so there's no change there. And I'm finding an attraction to possibly lengthening it to Key, for a variety of reasons and references, particularly the wonderful use of keys, especially the Key to Hell, in Sandman, which got me into comics as a teen in the early 90's, and Cevin Key from Skinny Puppy, one of my all time favourite bands. And keyboards, and all the amazing sounds you can make with them...
I love that you ended on Marlow which I’ve been using in some groups of friends for a while now & I do like it a lot. Also set it as my name in the latest Pokémon games, makes me happy seeing it. I do sometimes refer to myself as Marley which I like just as much but my cousin has a cat named Marley so it feels just a tad weird.
i've been going by Marlo around friends for almost a year now, and i actually have a second cousin called the same! i don't think it will ever be a problem bc i've only met him once ever and probably won't again for some time. and i like Marley too!!

I'm thinking of Adrien as my enby name, but I cant tell if it's too masculine. I'm afab and usually present more masculine anyway, I just don't always like he him pronouns. Usually I use any pronouns, but I'm often mistaken for a boy and honestly I prefer it to being a girl.

for awhile i've been going by ghost, and even though it took two times to pick a name for myself, I really love it and all of my closer friends call me ghost so yeah!!! by the way I love your content and this video kind of reminded me of when I was first looking for non-binary names on tiktok and on tumblr- i actually found my name in a dictionary funny enough

There are some pretty common dames that are popular with multiple genders like Dana, Devin, Leslie, August, Lindsey, Terry, Casey, Dylan, Robin, Sam, Taylor, Shannon, Alex, Angel (depending on culture), Francis, or Chris. Also a great reason for why normalizing including pronouns in things like business email signatures is a great idea even just for cis people.
I chose Kat as my preferred name ^w^! Mainly bc I chose it before I was nb and bc I like cats(and dogs-)

A lot of these names are on my list and I still don’t know what sounds like me! More names would be good but also if you have any tips to try to narrow it down bc sometimes I don’t like a name and then I like it again a month later or something so it’s been pretty hard to figure out what i actually like when i’m not consistently vibing with any that might be a good video as well

My given name is Sophia, which I find has feminine implications, especially after everyone started calling me Sofia the First like the disney princess, so now I go by Melone online (Melone Ninja full). It's a name that one of my friends's brothers gave me as a joke but I feel that it's a nice non-binary name with slight feminine connotations, which makes sense for me since I'm a demigirl

I chose Róisín-Quynh cuz it roughly translates to "Little rose of the night" and I love it 🥺 I am giving a character that is me if I were a fictional character multiple names and I am tempted to do this for myself depending on my gender but I no masculine names jump out at me... doesn't help that I picked traditional feminine names as my non-binary name lol

My mom is a financial worker at a school and she got an email from a non binary person. She ask me 2 things. One is why did they sign their name with their pronouns (they/them) and to explain they/them pronoun and how it called be singular. Everytime I tried to explain it, she said I was wrong and it not proper English. Can you help explain how the they/them pronouns can be used as an singular term?
I'm not an expert, but they/them singular has been used in the past. I recommend searching the history of they/them singular and you'll find what you need and showing your mom it has historical precedent. Also, they/them has officially been accepted into the dictionary, just googling "they definition" it will say it can be used in a singular context!
Another thing you could do is see if when talking about a person she doesn't know the gender of she uses they/them. Like a delivery person she hasn't seen, she might say "They're delivering our order." Point out how she used they/them for a singular person. (She might not do this, but if she does it'll make the point that even she is using it singular.)

No, it was me too. I recognized Spencer from iCarly & PLL (a guy in first, a girl in the 2nd series) & if I had to choose an alternative name, I'd either be Sodalite, Opal or Hazel. Probably the first, because it'd be fun to be called as "soda"

I think that more cis people should choose their names. They would undoubtedly come up with some pretty cool masculine and feminine new names. For example, "Warmonger," which would be for boys. "Have you seen Warmonger recently? Apparently he has put on a lot of muscle cause he's been working out so as to be more masculine." Girls might start going by stuff like "Bitch." Could be cool!
