2006 OPENING Day of Nostalgic Star Wars Weekends at Disney-MGM Studios on May 19

The nostalgic Star Wars Weekends (2003-15) were an annual event to celebrate the Star Wars film saga and was a galactic experience for fans! As we walk into the park many characters are lined up at the front entrance for pictures... the Star Wars celebrity was Peter Mayhew -- Chewbacca, the loyal Wookiee in original Star Wars trilogy and the centerpiece was the nostalgic Star Tours (1989-2010) thrill ride. At the nostalgic Sorcerer's hat Lightning McQueen & Mater from the film "Cars" entertain the guests before "honking" their horns to depart. Princess Lea takes pictures with guests at the Star Tours ride... many more characters were greeting guests on nostalgic Who Wants to be a Millionaire Avenue (2001-06)... our day wraps at Hollywood Tower of Terror... as watch the nostalgic Citizens of Hollywood known as "Streetmosphere" performers (1989-2020) tell jokes to delight the guests.
