As a chelsea fan, im so unbelievably pissed off… the players loved him, the fans were warming to him… 1 loss in 15… makes 0 sense
He wasn't sacked
Makes the most sense if he’s taken another role. If he’s sacked that is ridiculous
He probably didn’t want to sell players that they wanted and wanted to choose who to sign. Chelsea owners are morons! they were finally starting to click and now a new manager will change it all again. Weird but think poch chose to leave as doesn’t like their vision.
Will be because the board are hell-bent on selling Gallagher, whereas he was a key part of Poch’s plans (I imagine)
Moronic. Owners chop all experienced players and dealt with a plethora of injuries all season. Absolutely crazy when team starting to gel and players coming back for new season!
So pissed off. Ownership are literally swiping left at managers like they’re on fucking tinder.
I bet if you pitched tinder for managers to Clear lake they’d snap that right up

Looks like Chelsea decided they had to sell Gallagher and wouldn't give Poch any say in transfers, so he has walked away
As a Chelsea fan, I'm pissed off. We were finally showing progression and now we're back to square 1.
I thought Chelsea could compete for top 4 next season until now
@@gmae5342yep back to square so stupid
That's a bit extreme don't ya think? The players will still be there. And they ultimately have the final say in where we finish next season.
The players were showing progression, not the manager. There is plenty of tape on Poch to show that he won’t elevate this team to where we want it. Lose your sentimentality for once.
As a Spurs fan I was genuinely worried about Chelsea next season. We obviously know how good a manager he can be and he seemed to have got it to click in the second half of the season with some very good young players.
Baffling decision. Stuck with him when they struggled. He starts to turn things around, 4th best team in the second half of the season, climbed into Europe, cup final and semi final, never lost the dressing room. Surely that's enough to give him more time to build?
Poch probably wanted to leave and they didn't feel like stopping him
Probably was adamant about keeping Gallagher and Chalobah and they overall had disagreements on the transfer policy. Just as Poch started to show bite and make demands of the ownership they decided to sack him.
@mkphrakleio He had no right to show any bite or make demands. You live on recency, not logic.
@@ethan_shrapnelit's only downhill from here. They're about to sign a 30 year old yes man.

@@hermannsanders903 His mother doesn't like him
Truly hilarious stuff from Chelsea ownership.
As soon as it looked like a manager was getting a grip of the job and working with the squad they built, he's gone.
But we'll see, is this a O'Neil/Iraola situation where they get better? or is it another Tuchel debacle, where they'll regret it in a years time?
Shocking decision from Chelsea
Agreed, you lot turned it around big time towards the end of the season!
We need Tommy T back!
That's the standard at this point
At the beginning of the season most pundits had the same statement"Right manager, right project, wrong club and fanbase."
what’s the fanbase got to do with it?
@@JokerTrikz Most Chelsea fans throughout the season couldn't take it that he was a Spurs manager and others couldn't move from Thomas Tuchel and everyone knows Chelsea fans are the most impatient fanbase in the world. Probably behind PSG fans.
Absolute nonsense
Fanbase really really wasn’t as important in this decision as people are making it out to be.
Tbf I hate Chelsea but even the ones that questioned him are not happy that they sacked him. Makes zero sense why big belly boehly and the crew would do it but nothing they do makes sense
Chilwell, Reece, Chukwuemeka, Nkunku, Lavia, Lesley, Wesley
No consistent backline throught the season. Different personnel got injured at different times.
58 injuries, 320 games missed
Poch acc a miracle worker getting Europa + Runner Up + Semifinal with these kids.
Has to be to do with the club wanting to sell homegrown players and sign even more players, whilst Poch wants to continue with the same group. Amorim is the obvious replacement imo
Wild decision. 4th in points in 2024. Just as the project gets going now they have to build the project again. Their owners are insane.
I hope McKenna pulls a Xabi and stays loyal to Ipswich. Too early for him to go to a bigger club, he needs to develop and not fly too far to the sun yet.

As a Spurs fan, I just wish Mauricio Pochettino all the best for his future.
Pochettino to Bayern, here we go!
I'd bet the Chelsea board loved it when De Zerbi said he is just given the players and he makes it work at Brighton, sounds exactly like what they were looking for.
Exhausted and burnt out as a Chelsea fan, 4 years of shite and mayhem and we saw a glimpse of something positive and boom! They have gutted the squad m the staff and the club spirit. Selling all our academy stars and veterans, and buying 400 foreign youngsters who we will never see play for us. It must be some kind of experiment this ownership 😅
@Skarramoosh you’re nitpicking, I’m talking on since The government forced Roman to sell
That's such a reckless decision - Chelsea actually looked like they were becoming a threat. And who are they planning on getting that's better than Poch? Absolute basket case owners.
De Zerbi did a great job at Brighton - for one year. His coaching career:
Palermo - 3 months
Benevento - 1 season (relegated)
Sassuolo - 3 seasons (8th place finish)
Shakhtar Donetsk - 1 season (ok, there was a war) Ukrainian Super Cup
Brighton - great season followed by an indifferent season.
If the Chelsea owners and management think that this is their man, then the situation is as bad as we all hope it is. Then again, it shouldn't be surprising, they thought Graham Potter was their path to glory...
Perfect for Chelsea then. Just about as long in any job as a regular Chelsea coach.
I think it's harsh to say this was an indifferent season, pretty much all clubs have a league dip when they enter Europe for the first time. Plus there's another inevitable drop off as other teams get to grips with countering De Zerbi ball. I'm not sure he's the man for Chelsea, but it's too early to write this guy off. Obviously a very strong coach, but one who honestly benefitted a great deal from the work Potter had done at Brighton
@@TheDominicProject I agree - he's a obviously a good coach. It's more about the match between Chelsea's likely expectation and his experience.
SOUTHGATE IS THE MAN FOR CHELSEA!!
@@susbedo9258 let’s hope that would be so much banter
I was blindsided by this when I saw it earlier. I've been a harsh critic of him, but he had managed to turn things around and get us into the position we should've been through most of the second half, and especially the end of the season. He'd earned the right to continue and push further next year.
This board are an absolute circus and will end up sinking the club if they keep on the same trajectory. They asked us to trust the process and they cant even trust it themselves. Also confirms that they're going to go out of their way to sell Gallagher and Chalobah, and just make life way more difficult for homegrown rules and have to pay through the nose for some other random player to fill the numbers because of "pure profit".
As for a replacement, De Zerbi will be entirely wrong. He was proven to be a fraud this year and will only end up in the same position 6 months down the line. He's West Ham level.
Frank, Maresca and the other names thrown out there also aren't good enough. McKenna has potential, but again needs time.
The only options I'm keen for would be Tuchel, Amorim or maybe Hoeness at a stretch.
The circus continues at my club. Never a dull moment, maybe there’s a brillent plan in place but let’s be honest it’s a shit show since day dot with these owners. Here we go again!
Having a sporting director and a director of football isn't unusual, but two sporting directors seems needlessly top heavy.
Imagine being a young player at Chelsea. How do you learn a style enough to actually benefit from the experience in the future? How do you plan for next season knowing you're going to have to buy players for a new style when you already have a bloated squad? Place is an absolute shambles!
I’m so pissed off right now. He was finally figuring it out. I genuinely concerned for the future of our club with these owners in charge.
somthing must have gone on behind the scenes with bohley and poch
Not Todd, Egbhali
Egbhali is the hatchet man. Boehly the human shield
As a Chelsea fan it’s the greatest decision we’ve ever made.
I’ll come back to all these comments crying about this loser leaving next season when we perform better under a different manager.
He was holding us back. People will realize soon.
Insane how dumb the fanbase is. 5 wins after a season of pain. How quick they forget.
@@colourmegreene6761 5 wins? Im a neutral and all the rivals fans agree, you started to cook and look scary. 5 games? Youre 2 points behind Liverpool in 2024. Youre 4th in the last 19 GAMES. By statistics and facts you had the youngest, most inexperienced and most INJURED squad last season. You had the numbers of the 5th best team THE ENTIRE SEASON. This morn above your comment is somehow even more delusional. Jackson has like sub 50 professional GAMES IN HIS CAREER. Palmer was your best signing and your board signed him by accident only after Olise failed last minute. What was he supposed to achieve with all of the points I made about your squad
I can see that Poch is not a bad manager. I can see he had a difficult job. I can see his failures, even during 2024 when we started getting results. We lost 5-0 to Arsenal, we dropped points to Burnley and Sheffield united in winning positions. Unforgivable failures to me but I would’ve been comfortable going into the next season with him. I am pretty confident this wasn’t a “we didn’t get top 4 and trophies, you are gone” thing like we have done for the last two decades. This really feels like a power struggle and Poch understanding he can cut the rope and leave unscathed. He knows he won’t get what he wants so he can just go find that elsewhere. It does send an ugly message though. No continuity and too much derailing all progress at this club. I know there’s a shortage of top managers in the world and we can’t just go get the best in the world like we used to but the idea of hiring a guy managing Ipswich just feels like a massive mistake. I feel like there’s traits that a manager has to have to succeed at Chelsea and I just don’t think a younger manager will have built them yet. This sport has changes a lot in the last two decades. We can’t continue to be the arrogant Chelsea of old, we’re no longer able to just take the best of the best from the best.
Just stay away from my sweet McKenna
McKenna will go to Brighton and from there to Chelsea. Such is the circle of life. (Genuinely hope not, would love to see Ipswich with a chance atleast)
Don't go anywhere near that sweet sweet child looking old young man 😢
Gawd no! McKenna has nowhere near a CV for a club like Chelsea.
@@patokev3691Delusions of grandeur.
Chelsea hiring McKenna would end up being like a situation similar to the disastrous Graham Potter era.
Great summary old chap. Helps keep us all afloat. Love and Light to all the Chelsea Community.
Bring back Tuchel, he's got unfinished business with the Blues. Leave the Brighton staff and players alone for a bit, they're becoming our indirect sister club at this rate.
So surprised he was just starting to find his groove!!
Pochettino has a system that requires his type of players playing his type of ball. It works when he gets the time to build that. That's why I never understood the hire in the first place because there is no way Chelsea would ever give that kind of time to any manager.
Without even knowing who the new manager is, I'm predicting he will be sacked in a year...
I had the same reaction- seemed obvious they were lining up de Zerbi. But after hearing that a large reason for pochettino leaving is him disagreeing with recruitment and wanting more input, I’d be surprised if they go for de Zerbi given that Brighton parted ways with him for the exact same reason.
The training being minimal makes sense if you watched us for the first 30 games of the season
Any good from this chelsea team has come from individual brilliance and not coaching
chelsea gonna sell Gallagher too another top 6 team
The more football goes on I think we see the values of great and long term relationships between players and coaches so breaking those can be dangerous
Just a thought - not sure I agree with the bit in the form of the last portion of the season. Tuchel only just finishing 3rd when they were on for the league initially was pretty predictive of them starting badly the following season and him getting sacked. Leicester’s great escape and the form then seemed to propel them the next year
I think we all expected Poch to a name on the list of managers leaving jobs next season.
I don't think we expected it to be now though.
Surely this is going to cause a ripple effect now which will carry over into late next season as we watch ETH, Howe, Emery, Lopetegui all likely to be the higher profile names at risk now.

I’m sure there was improvement and a project there. I’m shocked

Pochettino's past is far more impressive than Deserbi's, so its weird. If it happens.
Really unfortunate for Chelsea. The most important thing in football is club management and you see it in how poorly both Chelsea and Utd have been managed by clueless Americans.
Nice to see Marti isn't on that list of potential managers to replace him!
Poch next england manager after euros? I'd be more than down for that. Not to take anything away from Southgate but if we don't win I'd like to see a new manager in the role
... I'm in shock
And I'm very scared
I am so surprised that Chelsea have sack their manager, he took the club above M. Utd which their manager is still with M. U
My gut feeling on the dinner will be in relation to potches remuneration. This is just my opinion but back in January we couldn’t afford to pay Potch off or buy a new manager.
One man you haven’t spoken about. Jose Mourinho
Because he is not in the top 25 managers in the world anymore
@@nikolasavic1525 just get him in for the theatre
Im hoping it's not De Zerbi, I think he's been found out this season a bit, let alone his temperament just screams issues with the higher ups very quickly
It seems weird not to mention how throughout the season Poch has said several times that he still liked tottenham. I think he was unhappy and just wanted to leave
How do you think West Ham will do under the new management scheme of a technical director in Tim Steidten and coach Julen Lopetegui… a way of management we’ve not gone about things before⚒️
Its a wrong move for De Zerbi if he goes. Clearly the Chelsea board and owners goals are not winning trophies and competing at the highest level, its making profits in players and the club. You can see it immediately with the signing of a 17 years old for 40m+ while having multiple talents like that lying around without regular gameplay. De Zerbi had similar issues at Brighton with the hierarchy asking him to develop new players so they can sell them for huge profit and not concentrate on winning games only if that means they cannot do the first thing.
Best place for de Zerbi would be Man united. He would align very well with the new owners and board like Ashworth, Berrada, Wilcox
Jimbo, love the channel. Do want to flag though that you've immediately made a video about Poch leaving but (I'm a Brighton Fan) no other mention of De Zerbi leaving Albion, not even on your end of season roundup. I know just focusing on the Big 6 gets the most views but remember the little guys! Thanks.
The last month makes this feel like an egregious error but watching Chelsea all season, it was so obvious that we weren’t in a good enough place. “Big club” nonsense is often just that but Chelsea has spent way too much money and has too much talent to struggle as consistently as Chelsea did against lesser competition all season. Games against Burnley, Sheffield, Forest, Luton, and several other low level competition were up for grabs until the final whistle in large part because of Poch’s tactical limitations. Depends on the next hire of course (we shouldn’t be too optimistic that the Americans will get it right) but it is still probably the right decision. A bold decision for sure but probably the right one based on the full season rather than the last 5.
I heard that Jackson was supposed to be at that meeting, but he missed it. On the other hand, taking a younger manager from Brighton to try something new that this Chelsea club have not tried before could be....wait a minute
Bro please tell me how to deal with being the banter club, this is painful at this point as a Chelsea fan lol
i think the fans understood the undertaken of the job there so ..gave him time and were ok... seems rash and mabye overly harsh
Clearly there was a disagreement somewhere but it doesn’t really make much sense
“Mauricio will always be welcome back”
Well that’s fortunate, because he manages Soccer Aid there in two weeks
This is crazy, because it's all about the money, and the player sales and the points deductions that are in the pipe
It’s very obvious, Poch wanted to keep chalobah and Gallagher and wanted a say in the transfer market - the board have said no to both so he’s left - they want to assemble the squad and just hand it over to a yes man coach
We'll know more as the leaks unfold. Poch had dinner with Boehly as you read out and then on Sat or Sun he met with Eghbali and again on Mon with him and the two Directors. Looks like they could not come to an agreement and decided to part ways.
IF they go with DeZerbi that is the opposite of a young up and coming manager, someone who is moldable almost. Or am I missing something.
Im glad the fans are pissed off... not like that butnin their anger at the hierarchy....from the outside looking in there is some very questionable decisions being made.
As a everton fan i am sick of our owner not isure id change him for chelseas so
Bayern want their managers to speak German I think. Even Pep studied it before he took the job there.
Best UA-camr facts
I was not expecting this. Haven't checked my phone and so I was kind of not believing you when I saw this video. It's pretty funny though after Chelsea started improving 😂
A million new relationships, that’s just the new manager and the players
every manager they get is a “new project” that they’ll keep and not get impatient with and by the end of the season theyre sacked. the chelsea cycle continues
Disappointed but not surprised Chelsea did this. I rate McKenna but not sure why he would want come to us and I’m not sure he’s ready yet. I think Ruben Amorim is the best option and I think his system would be good fit with the squad. I rather have just kept Poch.
if it was de Zerbi it will end in tears. he is more hot headed than poch. He left brighton for the same reason Poch parted company with us
Well this squad isn’t setup for pochs road runner setup it’s simple as that
They should only have done this if they Had Zidane or Ancelotti lined up for the job but now we are hearing "the search is on" what kind od backwards planning is that. Finally start feeling good about my club again and they just sour this end of the season.
Geezer took 33 games to stumble upon a tactical setup 😂 nice guy but still
Absolutely the right decision!
It seems bizarre that Chelsea has sacked Pochettino considering they went on a pretty good run towards the end of the season and they’re now going to unsettled their squad (which were starting to become settled) by having a new manager trying imprint his own ideas and tactics
Why didn't they just buy Brighton?
Whoever comes in will not survive the season, some fans are celebrating that Poch left, and the same fans will be calling for the new manager’s head at the first possible opportunity.
There is no pinch of salt the pressure was on to get Europe and he did it
Poch could do wonders with Brighton!
Bohley is running our club to the ground, and he left on his own accord. 109th.
This new ownership is blowing through managers
I'd be pretty amicable too if I was getting paid to not work, instead of having to work for a bad boss.
If there was an actual striker the first half of the season would have been better and the second half exemplary.
Also, Poch to United or Bayern?
Potential Ripple effect, poch availability leads to ten hag sacking. Currently one of the main cons of sacking ten hag is the lack of availavle managers suited to such a project. With poch now available this may provide the spark utd need to get rid of ten hag. (Not saying i want this, but seems possoble)
My prediction: Amorim to Chelsea. Young, Portuguese and weirdly fits the Chelsea profile.
How about Mourinho as a twist?
Was finally excited for next season… oh wait, not anymore
I think it’s crazy how they’ve sacked him! It’s a miracle they finished as high as they did with the issues they had this season.
Chelsea having a laugh. No one should take this job as it's been a poisoned chalice for 10+ years.
Two thoughts:
1. Don’t do it Kieran, you’ve got a good career ahead of you which will be ruined if you go to Chelsea now.
2. What are the odds on Boehly appointing himself?!
I’m a Chelsea fan & I felt that they should have stuck with Poch when he was starting to get results with a whole new bunch of young players and still managed to finish 6th despite the inconsistency. Definition of 1 steps forward 2 steps back. Frustrating as a Chelsea fan. Shocking decision by the owners.
The team that the sporting directors are trying to build suits De Zerbi more than it ever did Poch, an Enzo/Caicedo double pivot screams De Zerbi. They want a high possession team with control, which Poch couldn’t reliably create and Poch favoured players like Gallagher and Chalobah that the SDs weren’t fond of
Honestly, I’m starting to lose patience with the sporting directors and owners that completely support them. Hoarding young talent for big money, who may never play for Chelsea or even make profit, and being forced to sell first team contributors to balance the books. It all seems backwards and everything is in constant flux. We need stability and the club is seemingly allergic to it
