Die Energieeffizienz des Motors war dem Kunden bei diesem Projekt besonders wichtig. Deshalb entwickelte MENZEL eine Motorlösung, die einen Wirkungsgrad von 96,7 % aufweist.
A 1500 rpm Motor would be a bit less in weight, perhaps 2000 - 3000 Kg less - assuming that no other conditions have changed. But for the 1500 rpm Motor you would require sleeve bearings, as that rotor weight at 1500 rpm would not be suitable for anti friction bearings.

What CAD software does your initial designers use when designing these, is it custom in house or something like fusion360? It would be really interesting to see that side of it if you could unless that’s proprietary of course.

Mich würde interessieren, ob und in welchem Umfang durch den neuen Motor auch Energie gespart werden kann.

I'm curious to know how much aprox would weight same kind of a slip ring motor, for output power 6 MW, if build for 1500 rpm speed?
This 3-phase slip ring asynchronous motor with carbon brush lifting device has a weight of 24,030 kg

Thanks for your question. Our designers usually use a 2D drawing program like AutoCAD LT.
