@@lostsensemusic thanks! My copy of the lens goes slightly past infinity at full stop, so I haven’t had any issues with the EAF not being able to reach focus. It pretty much stays close to focus in the cradle.
Nice set up! I have the same lens (sony fe, samyang 135mm f1.8) and camera but where can I find an adapter that connects the lens to the asi camera? I can only seem to find adapters to put on a sony body
@@daansteegmans I almost went with a Sony camera when I first started out. Canon and Nikon seem to be more supported on software and hardware in Astrophotography. ZWO might make an adapter for the Sony style lens, but I mostly see Canon and Nikon adapters. You can check ZWO site to see if they make one, or maybe someone else does.
I have a similar setup minus the focus cube. Trying to figure out where is the best place to position the dew heater, lens or dew shield. Waiting for some clear nights.
One thing about the Astrodymium ring system, the dew heater won’t fit on the lens. I have to wrap it around the lens hood as close as I can get it to the lens. Hoping that will still keep it from fogging up.
@@scotthunter3892 yep! You have to get the short adapter from ZWO that is made for the EFW. I put a mini EFW(1.25”) on there. It’s a little tight to get on with the dovetail, but it worked.
Thanks 🙏
Nice video mate. What about the infinite focus hard stop. Does it affect the EAF? or do you need to remove it

@@AstroDannoI had to remove the stop on mine. Small screws, not rocket science👍🏻
@ nice! Mine was pretty close to the stop, but it’s able to focus.

Great video. I just bought this and am trying to set it up. Trying to figure out the connector for a zwo camera to the lens
Which kind of lens do you have?

Is there room to use a ZWO electronic filter wheel instead of a filter drawer? Assuming the dovetail can be slid forward a bit?

Awesome, thank you! And great video!

Very nice mobile setup! cs

I have the same work very well
@@jeanclementstgelais3226 I’m still trying to get it all dialed in, but work is taking up all of my time lately.
Nice.
Thanks!
