I saw an app that uses widgets to make something similar, I have a 6s that supports widgets so i think you should be able to get widgets on the 8

I don't like how it limits options for sending text messages.

on Samsung phone, only you need is turn on maximum battery saving. Problem solving

Great video. Thanks! One issue I'm having is that triple clicking the power button opens Apple Wallet because that's what double clicking it does. Is there another way to shortcut it?
I think it’s because you’re trying to click into assistive access. You can only get into the feature through the setting. Triple click is only for leaving the feature

You can’t :(
If you go into settings, accessibility, assistive access and scroll to the bottom you can toggle on or off the battery percentage showing on the homescreen
What happens with the apps that you don’t select? Do they show up?
I really like this feature but cant get over not being able to send texts
The interesting thing about this mode is that it requires you to manually choose which contacts you wish to send messages/call while in it! In order to do this, while on the assistive access setting, click on the messages app (should be already selected as one of the active apps in this mode), scroll down until you see the option 'Send Messages To Selected Contacts,' underneath it will have 'Select Contact' and from there you can select any and all contacts you wish to send messages to in this mode. Hope this helps! :)
Does wifi still work when using this? Also I have an essential app that I have to use for work and have set to over ride silent mode. Will this still work?

Tried setting it up, it limits the number of contacts you can add for messaging and making calls. Can’t exactly limit myself to half my contact list …… unfortunately can’t move forward with using it because of this
Maybe Apple will make it better. Sorry it doesn’t work for you
This was a problem for me as well so I added Contacts as an app and now it's usable.

Hey there! I know this comment is a bit overdue but in order to do this, just go into settings, click accessibility, then click assistive access. After just scroll all the way the way to the bottom and you'll see an option for 'Allow Silent Mode,' just click to enable it and you'll be good to go!
I can't figure out how to text. Even with keyboard on it won't let me send messages or pull up the keyboard.
unfortunately, the only way to bypass this is to add every single contact as an emergency contact :( hopefully they’ll fix this in a future update

Works perfect except I need the Lock Screen to actually lock. Any help there?
It does lock, I tested it by covering my camera and it prompted me with passcode

You have to sent the recipients in the settings before switching modes
The last iOS version for my iPhone 7+ is 15, so your accessibility method doesn’t work for me. Should I buy new iPhone to get this functionality? 😂

whats stupid is I cant used my 20 digit passcode, they force me to use a smaller digit count, which makes sense for people with cognitive disabilities, but like they should allow us folk who want a dumbphone to use whatever passcode we want LOL

Ultimately though, you can just remove most of the apps, and just stop wasting time on your phone, no matter what phone you have.

Find something else to do, like exercise, reading, walking, socialising., etc...
