"Italian Citizenship is based upon the principle of “jus sanguinis” (blood right) meaning that the child born from an Italian father or mother is an Italian citizen regardless of the place of birth" So you can give birth in the US and the baby would have both citizenships automatically.

US Citizenship is based on both the principle of "jus sanguinis" and "jus soli"(right of the soil). A child born on US soil is a US citizen, even if both parents are not citizens. Conversely a child born abroad to a US citizen mother is also automatically a US citizen at birth by right of blood. Even if his father is not a citizen.

I learned during the course of my marriage to pick & choose what I argued about. Because there are so many little things that are just not worth it. We would have been married 42 years this past 4/24, but my husband passed away in 2020 at 38½ years of marriage. We got married young. I was 21 & he was 23. We loved & respected each other right until the end. I still won't take my wedding rings off & I never plan to. I vowed to my husband on his death bed that I would never take them off & that I would love him forever. Except for cleaning, repairs & if I am in the hospital. You guys are both very strong minded & know what you like & want. Living with someone takes time to adjust & get used to each others routines & quirks. After a while, everything will seem like normal. Take each other's opinions & really think about it before you act. Don't argue & fight about it. Learn how to compromise. Trust & believe in each other. Don't go to bed mad & if you do, when you wake up, give your spouse a kiss good morning and tell them "I love you" & move on. My husband woke me up to say goodbye in the morning before he left for work with multiple kisses & he'd say, "I love you," & I would say it back to him. He had to get up earlier than I did for work, so he went up to bed early & before he did, he would do the same thing as he did every morning. I miss him so much every second of the day.😢 You guys are young & still have a lot to learn about each other, marriage & life, but I really think you can do it together, forever. ❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️

After 31 years my husband don't fight anymore. Now we just get irritated, but that is rare too. Not that we are perfect, I think you don't let things bother you as much the older you get. That is different with everyone I guess. Every couple will fight. We've had our share of fights in our marriage. The important thing is to make sure you do it a healthy way. You can never take back words. It's important your kids see your disagreements, because it's more important for them to see how you resolve it. I don't know you, or how you are, but I'm sure you're great and you will learn to grow and mature in your marriage. We did marriage conferences and loved the tools we could use afterwards. Love and Respect is an excellent one. If you always remember you love each other and you're on the same team, you'll do great.
The only times we had problems were the times we got selfish. Where you start thinking, well they don't do this for me etc... Then it was time to do an attitude check. If you think of how you can please the other, it can be the little things, then it takes us off the me, me, me.
Your marriage will be whatever you give the most energy to. If all I do is focus on negative thatbis all I'll see. We know each other is jot perfect, but we choose to see the good.

Yes! My mom’s cousin is in the Navy and she met her husband in Italy, had first baby in Turkey, second in Iraq I think and they all have dual citizenship in Italy and America.

Italian citizenship is not based on location, it is based on blood. Someone who is born in Italy, to non-Italian parents, is not automatically granted Italian Citizenship. It is not like the USA. The fact that Carlo is an Italian, means that it does not matter where your child is born, they will automatically be an Italian. All he needs to do is register the birth.
The baby will acquire citizenship through Carlo by default even if they’re born in America. It’s called direct descent. Definitely contact an expert though. I’m almost positive you just have to register the baby. You on the other hand have to learn B1 Italian 😂

IDK, my opinion is he answered correctly to that first question. Yeah it is his exes body, but it is your soul he wants, hence it is you he chooses since the exes body is now yours. We stay and fall in love with someone bc of the soul. Yes looks is what grabbed our attention, but we stay bc of the person's ethos , if that makes sense.
edit: if you have the baby in Italy they would have dual citizenship until they turn 18, then the child would have to choose which citizenship they want to keep.
