When Arnold was a bodybuilder, he and many fellow competitors sold training pamphlets for developing "Canonball Delts," "Herculean Arms," "Barndoor Back," etc. In his back pamphlet, he said to do 50 pull-ups! If you can't do it in one set, you keep doing them until you get 50 out.
I bought a bunch of pamphlets from Arnold, Franco, Larry Scott, etc. Still got them.

You know what you also get from deadlifts? Disc hernia and a whole life of hurt ending up in expensive surgery which may or may not stop your suffering. Unless you’re making millions of dollars off of your physique, please, don’t do this crap. I know you’re thinking you have good form, but you know what? Sometimes it doesn’t matter, you still end up messing up your back and your quality of life goes down the drain.

Had 10 good years looking good, then had 2 shitty years with the fucked up back, finally got surgery which fortunately relieved the pain but my back still doesn’t feel like it can take a lot of weight … I also paid to get it done in a private clinic and was lucky to be able to afford it.
