Nanaimo Day Trip - What to do in Nanaimo, BC

- Nanaimo, British Columbia is beautiful and a must see on Vancouver Island. Nanaimo's has lots of parks, a stunning harbour as well as lots of amazing shops and restaurants. In this video I go over my day trip in Nanaimo BC, I hope it gives you some ideas for your trip to this beautiful city! I check out Nanaimo's harbourside walkway, including Maffeo Sutton Park, as well as Neck Point Park, The Vault Cafe, Bocca Cafe, and Country Market - Goats on the Roof!

Be sure to have a drink and a bite to eat at the Dinghy Dock...a floating bar out in the harbour! If you have time, visit beautiful Gabriola Island...a 15 minute ferry ride across the harbour.

Nanaimo is quite a beautiful city and they have really done a great job with their waterfront park and trail.
It's a lot safer than the lower mainland or Victoria.

I haven't been to coombs since I was a kid! Looks different than what I remember!
It's a really unique place and has so much more that I didn't show like a donut shop, restaurant and patio, and home furnishings store. You could spend a lot of time, and of course money there.

Yes, I rented a car and drove. I love how they include lots of food too lol.
You need to look where your car goes. You have to look back from the back wind screen while backing up. I failed for how you parked.

Nanaimo is so so picked on and so underrated. I think a lot of it is out of pure jealousy Nanaimo's beauty and location is unmatched.

Best thing to do in Nanaimo is hit the cheap gas station while you're waiting at all the beautiful red lights our city has to offer. If you value scenery and traffic jams, Nanaimo is a great place to gas up for the Highway 19 experience.
