I just had to say I was born at Castle AFB July 1956
I was born at Pt Mugu in the early 70s. At the time, this was the boss' airplane.
Black Bunny!!! One of my favorite Phantoms!!! ❤️🇺🇸
One of my favorite aircraft of all time, I use to see this F-4 at Point Mugu and also the F-14 Vandy 1. Very cool
Very true they had the playboy bunny on the tail of I think the squadron was VX -9
Congratulations on your new F4. I'm sure in a few months it will look like new.
I cant wait to see her, Castle AF Base is near me.
Nice Pete , nice Phantom too !
I need to fly that baby
Nice!
I heard when the Soviets realized the performance abilities of the F-4 Phantom it kept them awake at the night at the Kremlin.
3:02 27 feet wide. That must require special transportation taking 2-3 lanes. Do you have any video of the Plane on the Trailer driving on the Freeway?
How did they land it on a trailer?
The plane should be out front of Point Mugu?
The Phantom that is in missile park was painted in the black Vandy 1 bunny scheme but has since been painted in a standard type of scheme. Playboy no longer wanted the Navy painting their logo on the planes from what I heard.
Does anyone know how many Phantoms are still flying?
Wikipedia has a list, but I’m not sure how up to date it is.
