I don’t care if it is a new service or an old restoration, I truly enjoyed watching your video with my feet kicked up eating my warmed up pasta leftovers in my away from home hotel. It is great to see you in your natural habitat as a working Joe. I love to see that we are all human and can make a mistake or two, thank you for that. I hope your sniffles go away and peace be with you and your family.

When the end result looks and works better than when it was new you understand that you have trusted your timepiece to a master craftsman. I personally have never understood comments about the hand condition, you work ergo your hands become stained and or damaged. I found this a lot while dining after working locomotives all day, wash hands in some god awful solvent to get most of the stains off, wash hands in GoJo twice or three times then wash hands in dishwashing liquid once or twice then go to a restaurant to be greeted with " you need to wash you hands" from one of the staff..... I just spent 40 minutes washing my hands thank you so very much now can I eat my dinner in peace?
As usual the video was interesting including the "mistake" and I appreciate how much time and effort goes into these ride along repairs. Till the next time be safe, happy and give the accountant an extra hug for allowing you to be our friend, sir.

I wished I lived around you so you could be my watch maker. I have a fire damaged 1952 omega and can’t find anyone willing to even attempt fixing it. My town has lost all its masters due to age. I do most of my work and if it’s something I am not comfortable with I have a guy who I use. I have gotten decent at servicing Seikos. That’s about all I have done. I do movement swaps and I build some custom pieces for myself. I recently completed the diy Panari you made a video of. That inspired me to build one, I used the eta6498 in my build. Not my first build but my favorite so far. I have a 80+ watch collection and several hundred non runners that are for parts. I will pick the nicest and try my hand an getting it going. Your videos are great. I could watch them all day your calm voice and positive comments really makes my day brighter.

@@NekkidWatchmaker, Please don't get me wrong, Joe. I love watching and really appreciate your videos where you have spent hours upon hours in filming and editing and putting in the voice overs and the incredible camera work......... each video is a work of art! But, I'm selfish! There's times when a "rough and ready" video where you don't spend hours setting up the camera shot or editing and putting in the voice overs, will scratch the itch of watching your videos, enjoying your skills and knowledge, like being a fly on the wall! Also watching the day to day watches that you work on, the "average" wristwatch that passes over your bench. Yes, I am selfish because I do, from time to time, check out your channel to see if UA-cam hasn't given me a notification of your content, but a "fly on the wall, day to day" video from Nekkid would be great. Yes..... I want it all! Thanks Joe and the family for all that you do. You're a good Man. 👍👍✊✊✌✌🍻🍻

It all depends on what the customer wants and what the price of the watch is worth doing in a restoration. You're not going to spend a couple hours polishing a bracelet on a watch that was $1k new and will only be worth $200 after it's fixed up.

As I'm sure many of your other subscribers have said, I would love to see more of your day to day work. I am a scuba equipment repair technician with a passion for watches. I'm very good at what I do and take great pride in my work and feel the immense responsibility of making sure that the equipment, especially the regulators work properly to sustain the life of the end users. I also have a passion for watches and their inner workings and greatly enjoy watching your videos as I can see you are a master at your craft. I would love to know more about how you got into watchmaking, how long you've been at it and what it is that you love the most about what you do (maybe there is a section here or a video where you talk about just that but I have not encountered it yet). I love your videos because I love how you restore a watch to almost new condition regardless of what kind of hard life it's had. I'm in my 50's now and I feel that I may be too old to take up your trade but if I could go back and do it again, I would seriously consider doing what you do as a living. Did I mention I love your philosophy of life? Thank you for sharing with the world your skills and passion.
