remember when music was just happy and fun?
The Go'sGo's do.
80s the best
I love this song so much. I only wish it was longer. I can play it over and over again. The 1980's rule!
Fantastic song. ❤❤❤🤘😎🤘❤❤❤
THE definition of fun. Thanks ladies. Hope you are all well.
❤A very Happy Birthday 🎉 🎂🎉to the fabulous, multi-talented Jane Wiedlin today!! I ❤️ the GO GO'S
This is my go to "vacation hype" music. Always gets me excited for one!
OMG the Hair.
The Go Gos were the coolest chicks from back in the day and they still are 😎🤘
That is why they should be in the rock n roll Hall of Fame
this song's back in spider man.

Love Belinda's voice
It is now the year 2023 and CONGRATULATIONS to the GO-GO's who were recently inducted into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME...And this happy-go-lucky awesome song is definitely my favorite GO-GO smash hit 👏👏👏
Should've happened 20yrs ago. First all girl group that wrote their owns songs and busted their ass. Underrated for decades. They were the shit!!!
@@davidholcomb7637 Ty for your position feedbacks and Yes you are absolutely right they are definitely understand and I've always had a major crush on Belinda Carlisle 🥰
I watched the Go Go’s on HBO get inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame!! They sounded amazing!! Aww my teenage years!! Happiness!! Congratulations to the Go Go’s! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥂🥂
@@anitakos1375 Yes Ma'am I am so thrilled that they are finally in the RRHOF...Now it's time for another of my favorite bands to get selected and that's the"BANGLES"👏👏👏

My favorite part of ANY Go-Go's video ever is Gina Schock wailing away on those drums starting at 1:52.
This era of music will never come back. Sad to say but at the same time I will always be grateful for having lived my teen years in the 80's. They will always live in our hearts forever.
With the American flag zoomed in on the guitar. God bless the 80s
ANOTHER TIMELESS CLASSIC! 80"S MUSIC RULES!! the dj
Belinda's voice is so beautiful. I love this 80s band so much!
@Kevin Dorfman p
Drew Barrymore's favorite rock band..!
She is a man
She was in the germs punk band from the late 70s early 80s
they could all write songs and understood music, they were MUSICIANS!
the 80's were a magical time
As a 55 year old man, I to grew up listening to The Go-Go's. I was in love with all of them!
I saw them in concert at age 48, and I danced on stage with them!
They played the soundtrack to my life.
😢👍💪
Good on you, brother.
That's so cool! Sounds like a dream come true.
Hell yeah. Been around longer than 🕷️ man but it was great they included this song in the movie.
I'm sooo jealous of you!
Memories of Rum Ham and the Jersey Shore.
That notebook style ending was really well done.
Spiderman: Far From Home 🧍🕷️🕸️🔴⚫
One of the best songs of the 80s.
this band is awesome. i loved that play head over heels. great music.
I absolutely love these ladies!
'80 s music was the bomb. The Go Go s rocked it then and now
Everything
I came here to remember my teenage years and how stupidly carefree and in Love I was. I miss those days. Greatest days of my life. I'm showing my kids what good music used to sound like.
I agree-definitely what good music sounds like! Not to mention that the Go Gos played all their instruments and wrote their songs. Nowadays, who does that?
I bet ur kids hated it. They can’t relate. It was a fun music scene back then with serious bands like The Pretenders, and so many amazing bands from England at the time. The Go-Gos were more of a fun Pop Valley Girl band with lively music, so it was refreshing from all the synths electronic bands that were amazing too, but variety is what made the 80’s. So, BananaRama and The Go-Gos were fun, danceable sounds.

If you want an album that sounds like 80s, listen to Gone Now by bleachers
Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Pastor Murray is an Anointed Servant of GOD who teaches the Word of GOD with Authority!!!!!!!
Trailblazers , wrote their own music and were as wild as the 1980s . Love them dearly . Yes or no and Turn to you are great songs and vids .
The GoGos is one of my best bands period and for some reason they still do sound brand new to me after all these years .
70’s 80’s 90’s when music was real music
Some of the best!
The drummer is awesome 👍
Fun Fact: this song was very popular in Peru, South America! I remember visiting my grandparents in Cuzco as a little boy, and found a small single record song from the Go-Go’s, with this song in their repertoire!!! 😝
The soundtrack of my childhood❣️ The '80's were the *_best decade❣️_* Jesus is Lord❣️✝️🙏💗

@@lordgoro Yeah! Ha ha!
The Go Gos really made a big musical splash with Vacation as I was entering college. I became sort of a closet Go Gos fan, would listen to their Beauty and the Beat album on cassette tape when nobody else was around. They had a bad ass reputation, rebellious, drugs, wild and crazy, etc. Regardless, their music has stood the test of time, and it often brightens my day. Hey ladies, thanks for the music.
I met Gina Schock last weekend at Pensacon and she is such an awesome woman. Her pup Penny is such a sweetie. Id love to see them come in concert where i live.
The drummer has got it going .
Yup, she gets the gig every time.
I feel like I really missed out on a great period of time as I was born in 89…the 90’s wasn’t bad but I just hear that the 80’s was best
There’s no going back after hearing this song play during the Rugrats Vegas special, love it forever
That’s how I first heard it! It was on a orange VHS tape
Same here.
RUGRATS!!
HELL YES!
yup, this was that one 80s song I didn't think was cheesy as a kid. bc of rugrats.
Love how Gina Schock the drummer is counting the beats at 1:53. Great song, Great band, Great decade.
CAME HERE TO SAY THIS!!!!

This brings back WONDERFUL memories of my teen years and the 80s and a time when life was fun and simple ❤️
totally agree.
Agree
I'd be at the roller skate rink in 80s and great music.
A much simpler life indeed. If only I could go back.
100% .......High School Graduate 1985......it was a much simpler time indeed. Before computers and cellphones became mainstream......we had our problems and issues of the day back then, but we had optimism for the future......we had it good.
Belinda’s husky vibrato voice is rock solid. Great band!
As a teen in the ‘80s, I loved this music. I still love it today. An authentically GREAT American rock band! Thank you, ladies. You still got it!
This song is still very relevant today! 41 years later.
Been watching Go-Go’s clips lately and realizing that Gina’s drumming is rock solid and the pop melodies are really clever. Great backing vocals too. Definitely underrated musically.
Yes, me too! Saw the rocumentary. Can't get enough of them now!
@Grant Wilson
Good morning, G-man. I don't know what all the fuss is about them not being in it as if it matters. Haven't you ever been at a job and you saw people moving up in the ranks or being taken care of to cover their incompetence, while other, better workers just got dumped on? Will the Go-go's earn more money being in it, or less not being in it? By keeping them out it exposes what a fraud that organization must be, just like the Oscars. And it appears to me that commentors are just jumping on the bandwagon, to demand their entrance into it. Seems utterly meaningless.
Their music definitely holds up. Foxes and Fossils covered this and they did that because they love it. Go-Go's have jumped a couple of generations at this point.
@@mikeknowles8017
"Jump generations." That's a great way to put it. Not too many bands have done that. They have staying power. Hope they tour next year. I'd really like to go. Go.
I think the songs and band merited a better voice than Belinda Carlisle's. It's very thin - not powerful enough for the kind of music they played.
Totally danced on our wood coffee table in first grade jamming out to this song! Thank you Go-go's!
Their melodies, vocals and bass-lines are absolutely unparalleled. Amazing band.
*_Listening to and watching this today actually made me cry. I so miss this band and especially the times when it was released. (I also have the vinyl album "Vacation" but no stereo to play it on.)_** :(*
I'm crazy impressed with how varied the lyrics were. Along with everything else you mentioned.
Bet you haven't heard of them until far from home
😊😊
@iCarilloninChrist Believe it or not, GuitarCenter has a few inexpensive self-contained record players that don't sound bad at all.
Rugrats brought me here
I ❤ this song🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hot damn. The Go-Go's are headed to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame! It's about time.
Amen to that they should be in the already because they are the greatest
I would not be proud of it. TRRHOF is a pathetic mainstream institution. There is no rock n roll about them. Only money!
but Judas Priest and Iron Maiden still don't get in after being eligible for 20+ yrs. The Gogos get in on their first try? Unbelievable. screw those idiots.
Now if we could only get Pat Benatar in. Then it might be respectable.
Finally! They totally deserve. So happy for them!😍
I'm so appreciative that I grew up in this era where music was at its best!
Me too
*_MT_*
As someone born 1990, I was always an 80s kid when it came to music. I enjoyed 90s music too, but 80s music was and still is more to my heart. Anything past 1996 is my limit on music era enjoyment.
After that, music began showing symptoms of going downhill and has only gotten worse ever since!
there’s still great music out there, just gotta no more on the radio :(
This is one of the best songs ever period
Same here, hi 👋
Whitout a doubt they are among the best eras of the best music....
60's,70's,80's,And 90's 😍

@@etheangel2220
That’s a pretty wide range.
Also never add an apostrophe when referring to a decade
It’s 90s not 90’s
As a formation water-skiing team the Go-Go's were criminally under-rated.
Magnificent synchronized leg flex @ 2:36
Who else is in their 40s and remembers this like yesterday? I was 9 years old when my mother bought this album for me.. I had this tiny little toy of a record player that had these little colored lights on the front that lit up with the beat of the music.. I would play this record... call my mother to come and listen to me sing.. because this little player had an attached mic that you could sing with the music and hear it through its speakers.. I would hide under my bed.. lol because I was so shy and a dork.. and I would sing this song for my mom.... THAT started my love of singing. I just love to sing.. sad part is.. I developed this goiter on my throat in my late 20s.. and now sometimes I can sing.. other times I cannot.. I assume something is pressing on my vocals.. I never had it looked at.. I really miss being able to sing.. it was always second nature.. But all of these bands and singers from the 80s... makes me sad... brings back soo many memories.. Life has gone by soooo damn fast..
I'm 52 and remember buying this album for 6 bucks.
Hahah! I had one that had a microphone and you could sing through the speakers....Wow. I hadn't thought about that in years.
@@sfs1167 yup this one worked the same way lol

This is such good songwriting. Nobody builds up to a killer chorus anymore.
Thank you for the beautiful voice and the beautiful music, Belinda, and ladies!❤
It's possible that the Go'Gos might be put in rock n roll Hall of Fame this year
My summer song in the 80's Love it. Class of 1987 ROCKS

Driving to ft. Lauderdale with 4 girls in a jeep. They played the go-gos all the way there. Especially this song. That vacation still puts a huge smile on my face so many years later. Haven't seen any of them since that summer. They blew me away that summer. WOW!!!!

Their 1st Album was absolute killer!! I wore it out, I think the second one was good too. It’s a shame they had so many personal problems with each other, they could’ve written this right out of this world
7th grade (82). Awesome memories. Best band at the time.
The True Girl Band of The 80’s. Pure Talent and Class!
80s the last happy generation
Yeah, it wasn't great where I live.
Word to your Mother
I was happy in the 90s
The go go's are a vacation from life. Viva la belinda
I was just a little boy in the 80s but I remember my uncle Larry used to take me to concerts I love the GO GOs saw them in concert more than a few times and I blasted their music on a massive boom box that drove my grandparents crazy lmao I will always be an 80s boy
Anthemic pop/punk perfection achieved by the always underrated the Go's Go's.
The heartfelt vocals mixed with the killer hooks makes Vacation a soaring sing-along
C L A S S I C 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
They were pretty big, sure you’d say under rated ?
*EMBRACE THE NIGHT*
@@aran125 There were bands and singers in the 80s that had way more hits than the GoGos but many of them haven't stood the test of time like the GoGos.
Another stupid comment from a member of the "Underrated Mafia". They were not, as they were extremely famous and successful.
All of my early crushes were women pop singers in the 80's. MTV was brand new, and to see videos of women I had only heard on the radio was amazing.
I'm an early 80's college kid. It was studying 5 days to earnestly learn pharmacology at U of M, partying two days to forget the drudgery of the other five. Susan was a brazen, brunette dorm brat, but her bidding for me to come upstairs and party became too strong to resist. "That's what the little girl's DO.' 45 years later, I haven't gotten over the halcyon thrill of those youthful and passionate days.
God I Have An Unhealthy Obsession With 80s Music.

The rugrats vacation special got me interested in this song
The theme song of summer
Prayers to those who didn't live through the 80s.

My favorite Go-Go's song! The first 45 I ever bought as a kid in the 80s.
I wish it had the last verse from the original version:
"I think I'll leave without saying goodbye.
I think that you know the reason why.
What if I was to stay?
Would things turn out some other way?
I'll never know anyway."
