The #ConnectModule is one of the most important innovations for the #Bosch Smart System for the 2023 season. GPS trackers with alarm systems have been offered by other companies for years. Bosch has now caught up. Using a current KTM model with a Bosch Performance Line CX motor (Smart System), we show you step by step how to install the anti-theft system.

the Bosch Connect module with a subscription of €40 per year should improve two important points:
first of all a “theft insurance” subscription integrated into this subscription and on a technical level increasing the power of the alarm signal which is rather ridiculous
I just get the Bosch module Connect and I am very happy with this GPS alarm systèm, but the only bad point and almost a joke is the power of the alarm sound; it will not afraid even a fly...

Hi and thank you for your kind words! It's hard to say, unfortunately, as some older models do not have the Smart System required for the ConnectModule. Do you know the model year of your Verve+ 3? Often, you can also easily identify it by the display: If your bike has the Purion display (www.ebike24.com/2017-bosch-purion-e-bike-display-performance-line), it is not compatible with the Smart System because the Purion is not yet available for Smart System bikes. Hello, do you know if it’s possible to fit this module in a Bosch SX motor like the Riese and Müller Culture? If not, are there any plans for an alternate cover that could work with the connect module? Thank you.
Hello and thanks for your comment! Yes the ConnectModule also works with the new Bosch SX motor. For the SX motor you only need the single ConnectModule without the mounting accessorries. It is simply connected with an additional display cable which you also need. The ConnectModule is then connected between the motor and the display. We will also publish a tutorial for the ConnectModule installation on the SX motor soon. You can find the ConnectModule and display cable here:

Will this fit in the Trek Powerfly 4 gen 4 and will the cover fit after installing? Thanks!
Hi Joel, thank you very much for your comment. The Powerfly 4 Gen 4 is equipped with the Bosch Smart System and is therefore compatible with the ConnectModule. Based on our experience, the cover should fit after installation. We have never encountered any problems with that on Trek bikes. Best regards - Michael
hello! this GPS have sin card? Can I track if the bike have the battery out?
Hello Philipe, thank you for your comment. Yes, the ConnectModule features an eSIM for mobile communications. Even when you remove the battery from your e-bike, you will still receive a notification if your bike is being moved, and you can track it as well. However, the alarm will not activate in this case; it only works when the battery is mounted on your electric bike. I hope I was able to help you!

Hi Fabio, thank you for your comment. This is hard to tell since we are not a Cube dealer. It should fit since the Cube also uses the new Bosch Smart System required for the Module. Will it work for the Bosch active that the batavus Harlem use?

Hi, according to the specs I found your bike is equipped with the Bosch Smart System. Therefore the ConnectModule should fit. You may want to check if there is enough space below the motor to install the ConnectModule before purchasing.

Good product but the alarm sound is ridiculously inaudible
ATTENTION: IF you have a CUBE bike , BEWARE,,, Bosch Connectmodule will fit the motor , but the motor cover dont fit afterwards. CUBE is working on a new motor cover but at the moment there is no solution on the problem. i just found out today after fitting the Connectmodule. The item number for the new engine cover is #3819. For the Stereo Hybrid 160 ONLY size S, the article number is #3706
Hi PerfodDk, that's right, unfortunately the ConnectModule doesn't fit beneath the cover of some Cube models. However, Cube has released a couple of new motor covers that are compatible with the Bosch ConnectModule or GPS trackers from other manufactures. Hi Andre, thank you very much for your kind words! Unfortunately, the ConnectModule does not work with your Rail 7. The Purion display indicates that your bike uses the "Bosch eBike System 2" and not the Smart System. The ConnectModule is only compatible with the new Smart System. Unfortunately, the Purion 200 will not be compatible with your bike. Once again, the problem lies in the drive system. The Purion 200 is designed specifically for e-bikes equipped with the Bosch Smart System. However, your bike is equipped with the previous-generation "Bosch eBike System 2". The software used in these two systems is entirely different, meaning all displays and devices are incompatible with the alternative bike system. I'm afraid that in future product development, Bosch will primarily focus on the Smart System, and there will be fewer product innovations for the previous systems. so it's basically 4 (?) normal torx screws and a thief can remove the module? I don't understand why there is absolutely no security?
Hi and thank you for your comment. Yes you are right. Unfortunately the ConnectModule is delivered without any additional safety equipment to protect it from theft. However, since the ConnectModule has standard Torx sockets, you can also use safety screws of your own.

Is there a way to fit this on a Gazelle Grenoble C5 HMB (Bosch Performance Line Smart System)? I believe the original covers don't fit once the module is installed
Thank you for your comment! On the software side, the installation is no problem. Unfortunately, motor covers are always complicated and, above all, manufacturer-dependent. I cannot say for sure if the cover will still fit after the ConnectModule installation, as we do not stock any Gazelle bikes in our range. My recommendation would be to contact either your local Gazelle dealer or Gazelle directly. They should be able to advise you on whether it is possible to install the module.

@@ebike24 Thanks for your response. I spoke to my dealer, and he tried sourcing the part numbers for compatible covers that would fit after installation, however he was sent around in circles. Bosch sent him to Gazelle, and Gazelle sent him to Bosch. It seems like getting a concrete answer is going to be tricky, and I'd say it will probably be a no compatibility for now, which is a shame :(
Thanks for the update. Yes, this has been the problem with Bosch for a while. They will always tell you to ask your local dealer or bike manufacturer and they have to ask Bosch...
We offer free returns within the EU. If you like, you can order the ConnectModule and test the installation - if it doesn't fit, you can return it. Maybe that's an option for you.

Hi and thanks for your comment. This is hard to tell since we do not have Cube bikes in our product range. We know from a few customers that the original Cube motor cover might be too small to fit the ConnectModule. This is why we offer these two updated covers from Cube:

Do i need to subscribe and pay to use this?
Hello, the eBike Alarm is included in the purchase price for 12 months from the time of activation in the eBike Flow app when the Bosch ConnectModule is purchased. The eBike Alarm Service is not automatically extended thereafter. If you wish to continue using it after twelve months, eBike Alarm costs €4.99 per month or €39.99 per year. Hope this helps!

I want to sell my bike, can i just remove the device when unlocked with my phone? The new owner does not want the product. So no i do not want to steal the bike. I am the owner and i can unlock it with the phone. So just uninstal it like i instal it? Or do i need to some specifics because i can not find a tutorial.
Hi, you should remove the ConnectModule in the Bosch eBike Flow app first and after that also remove your bike from the app. It is crucial to remove the ConnectModule in the app first, otherwise there might be an error message when the new owner tries connecting the bike with his Bosch account.

Nice, but if my bike gets stolen then they can have it. I’ll claim a new one through insurance.
It will take the thief 2 minutes to unscrew it. Why don't you make built-in GPS systems a standard??? Then you could hide them more from thieves.
