Byfield-Kopitar-Kempe is has been one of the best lines in the league since it got put together last year they don't get enough respect

Even if I know most of the league hates to talk about us, I would've loved some love for the Canadiens, who are doing weirdly well through a bunch of OT games. Caufield and Suzuki continue being extremely solid and wouldn't be too far off my top 5 lines, although definitely not in there. We've been hearing a lot from OTT and BUF, and (for obvious reasons) even more about WIN from the guys but nothing about MTL.
Regardless, good pod, as always!
I don't know if you guys have picked the terrible jersey for Corwin's punishment yet, but I think that having him get a Petterson jersey but Petterson is spelled incorrectly is such a funny idea

An underrated line to start the year is Seth Jarvis, Jesperi Kotkaniemi, and Micheal Bunting. They are doing very well.
slight issue here, they Jarvy hasnt been with KK and bunting. And Bunting was playing Aho at the start. sooooo

Honestly the canucks top two lines with pety,kuzi, and soup as well as miller, brock, and philly Di have been unreal, especially philly di imagine the canucks had him his whole career

Also lots of love to Jesse for recognizing the Wings top line. We know Cat is shooting through the roof and he's not scored in a few games in this past week, but it's not only about that. The other deal is how Larkin has transcended into a proper 1st line center in all aspects (goals and playmaking) and developed instant chemistry with Cat. His shooting numbers might decrease but there's a lot of chemistry going there.
Really love the debrincat, larkin, Raymond line. Teams have them figured out but they still get the chances and its just the beginning
would love to hear you guys about what list of current players are a lock for the hall of fame when they’re done playing
If the Canucks make the playoffs Corwin’s punishment should be to get a tattoo of a Canucks logo of his choice. It must be at least the size of a hockey puck.

Panarin Laffy and Chytil have been buzzing so much, 25 points combined in 9 games
Panarin has 15 alone. Lafreniere has 4.
@@Mulukkis That's mostly because of the power play, Laffy isn't on PP1. He's still doing really great though, his points just don't show it.
@@TheSnapback So the points were meaningless. Personally I think people are overrating Lafs performance, but I don't mind being proven wrong.
@@Mulukkis nah he’s not overrated, he’s creating a ton of chances and all his points are goals, and he’s actually using his body as well
@@Mulukkis No they weren't meaningless. Laf has still been great offensively, he's producing a lot of chances he is just not finishing. The same can go for a lot of other Rangers. So far he seems a lot improved from last year, the whole line has been great. I don't see why you would think he isn't performing well, because he really is.
Honestley the Applton-Lowry-Nino line has been great

Make a full 23 man rosters along with lines and have them give reasons for why they chose who they did. I think that would be cool to see who each person sees as the best nhl roster possible right now. Obviously players must be playing in their listed positions so you can’t put Pettersson one a line with Jack Hughes

As a Canucks fan I wish. No doubt they've transitioned from being mediocre to being a good team. Time will tell if a great one.
Realistically Tochett had them ready and motivated to prove something this year from GM1. Other perennial contenders will likely warm up into mid season form as the season goes along
Kaprizov was hurt like the last month of last year and they played great but the wild are horrible this year at least right now

@@bcon610 This King's lineup is reminding me a lot of the 2012-2014 squads in regards to how deep the line production is and if they keep it up into the playoffs they could potentially steamroll some teams. I don't mind Blake, but I definitely don't trust playoff TM. Only time will tell. GKG
@evan9w1 the cup winning teams were defensive checking team that wore down the competition. This team is focused on scoring and they need that in their lackluster powerplays. There is no grit.
@@bcon610 that's true, different style of play, but after what I'm seeing from this group, I think I would rather have a less gritty team that scores the most goals 5 on 5 in the entire league. Definitely need to get that PP figured out sooner rather than later though
They snubbed the Byfield-Kopitar-Kempe line pretty bad one of them said it would be pretty far down their list lol that line has easliy been one of the best lines in the league

I mean they’ve had LA, Detroit and Florida which aren’t easy teams, and they beat them all. I have to admit they have had some silly teams, but overall its impressive
They still have to win the games, unlike most other sports, hockey is a lot easier to lose even if you show up

This is 100% bias, but the Staal line for the Canes is incredible, night in night out; shift in shift out they are pure lockdown. They win faceoffs, forecheck, and don't let up goals. To say top 5? no shot top 10? eh maybe?? but top 5 defense for SURE
