CASIO CT-S1000V - "Our Day In The Sun" by Stewart J Wallace

This is my entry for Casio Sessions in London and an original song which I've recently composed.
It's been a very wet summer in the UK, so it's a slightly ironic song title given the amount of rain we've had! However, the song is in a music theatre style, so it could fit any almost any context - perhaps a couple struggling with life and who are determined to escape their situation to start a new life far away.
The keyboard is the Casiotone CT-S1000V which has a very decent feel with a textured "ivory" finish on the keys. The piano tones are very good, and for a piano vocalist looking for a lightweight keyboard (which also runs on batteries) then I recommend this for compact gigs and busking.
The speaker system isn't going to cut across a noisy room, fill a church, or compete with the drummer, but it's decent enough for home use, and when plugged into a PA system or keyboard combo you'll have the volume required. This keyboard won't take a mic directly, so you'll need external amplification anyway.
There are other Casiotone models which don't have the rhythms, accompaniments, song recording, and vocal synthesis features that this one has, so check them out as well if you just need a lightweight instrument without all the "bells and whistles". The keys are not weighted and there only 5 octaves, but that's enough for most pop songs.
