Hopefully the boon of an R rated Deadpool and Wolverine gives Marvel Studios confidence in more R rated projects. Blade, and maybe even Ghost Rider and Midnight Suns could be great additions to that R rated Marvel. GR may be fine as a PG13 film but for sure Blade and Midnight Suns being R rated is a huge opportunity.

You definitely don't have to kill original characters off just because they aren't main characters in the series, they can go off and do other things, with the option to come back when they serve the storyline.

Looking forward to more comic book based (and accurate) movies and series. FF was my very first Marvel Comic series in the late 70’s and from there I expanded to include Spiderman , the XMen and so on from there. These three franchises remain in my top 5 favorites ever!
Genuinely looking forward to superman by James gunn, I saw a post that the movie has been completed and minimal reshoots have been made, there's still a year before release, so what will he do, work on other projects or do more work to make superman better for the fans. I would disagree with it. The comics can be a source but most of the stories do not have the depth of character needed for a movie. You cannot be a slave to the material and ignore good stories just because they don't come from the comics. WandaVision had very little to do with the comics. It was great. It essentially took a story about grief and added a fantasy element. The person grieving just happens to be someone4 who can alter r4eality. The character that has the most interesting story arc is Wanda yet they are doing nothing with her.

There are some in the know, that have said that it could happen before Secret Wars or after the soft reboot. there was more blood in Xmen Apocalypse when Jean let Wolverine out his box and he used his claws on the Alkali lake base troops they showed blood splattering on the walls and them mopping up the blood in the end credits scene, i didn't see any blood in Deadpool and wolverine, he fought with some bones in the beginning but when Wolverine stabbed Deadpool he did it in Wades chest so we never saw any blood

Obviously it's super good when a director is actually a fan of the source material. I think though even if they have'nt read the comic's the key is that their going to be respectful to those charachters as well as be willing to listen. So say we get a director who's not familar with the spiderman comics for example but really wants to do the movie anyway, I think that can still work so long as they are willing to take in the opinions of those who know what their talking about. Though obviously Marvel would want someone who knows Spiderman pretty well on their own. And I think it should be a requisite for them to communicate with the other directors about who's doing what so they can properly connect everything seemlessly.
