I'm old enough to be a "classic" but the new muscle is pretty impressive!
Fr bro love them both tho
I'm old enough the remember when it smelled like gas and exhaust on the roads, the old is more impressive, but the new is good too.
Lets be real here, they are both good looking cars. Old and new👌🏼
Exactly. People just Compliment about Old Cars and Not giving a crap about new cars??
@@LeslieB73 yea dipshit the common people think moderns are fat and ugly and it's mostly computerized it's not the same having these new shitboxes considered as musles🙄 you'd be 10 to think moderns are equal
Makia in my group of friends its vice versa, im all old school but they always like new school more. Modern kids🙄
shadows new school is great. But IMO if you really have a taste for cars, fashion or even music. Old school is the way to go. What many kids dont understand is that their new school shit that they think is so much better wouldn’t even have existed if it wasn’t for old school. Gotta respect that
shadows i also like most of the new school ones but the way i see it you just cant prefer new shit without respecting the roots. I totally agree on the new muscle cars being too fat. Like with the new challenger the bumpers/sideskirts are too low. Cant even drive over the edge of a sidewalk properly. Its better imo to have the car lifted off the ground a little if you know what i mean. And i cant imagine new muscle cars taking the abuse the ones in all the 60s/70s car chases took for example bullit. I like the glossy paint with the beautiful chrome. Just gives me a feeling no new muscle car can give. All these kids preferring new ones annoys me (although the majority do also like the old ones)
There's nothing like building it yourself and running it at the track
do you forge you own internals and have an engine block mold in your basement?
Built not bought!
@@samsquantch14 Probably not, but it all started that way. You would be surprised how small the rouge ford plant was when it started. The idea is to improve on what has been built, (as only humans can do), then you can claim you built that. The Jeweler who makes fantastic jewelry, did not sit on a lump of coal to make a diamond. The cook, who makes the most interesting dishes did not lay the eggs, or combine the wheat in the fields. There is almost no product that man makes today, that does not have roots in former achievements,--but they were still made by somebody and now exist. Could you give credit to the modern cell phone only to AG Bell, or did somebody else take what we have learned from past generations, (again, only humans can do), and build that?
You may not believe me now, but your comment comes from marxism, to stifle personal/individual achievement.
@@EarthSurferUSA lmao that was a really long winded way of saying you can't take a joke
@@samsquantch14 true, that guy was pretty salty lol
Great thanks to whoever filmed this for showing both et’s at the end of each race, much appreciated
The old muscle card will never go old because of their look they will always be my favourite type of cars
who cares if the new ones are faster stock, there's nothing like getting behind the wheel of an old muscle car- the sound, the smell, the soul.
RomVlad naw not really nothing better than a modern charger SRT 392 or hellcat or scat pack my guy
@@keem4527 You youngins will never understand...
Mordecai pretty sure I drove more cars than you and know more about cars so yeah my guy....
Nah man, the new ones r far better, theres no comparison
Kevin Bakers Well, you don't have the same sensation in a new car, plus, I don't like plastic.
I like new muscle...but old muscle is like old, original music...it's just better
Couldnt agree more i like new challengers but i love old ones my dream is still to own a third gen charger (71- 76?)
Old school is good but technology is winning unfortunately to keep up with the new stuff you practically gotta have a built engine
The Same... Just soo Happy to have Muscle Cars back again after such a long drought! Old School will always Rule,,, but the New Kids are Quite Likeable too...
True that
@@chuckford4393 fuck that , i want the classic feel
You can always build something to beat something else. Why all the immature bickering. Just enjoy the car culture people.

Great footage! Love the angle and that you focus on the times at the end! Keep up the great work!
Was waiting to see a new dart vs the old dart lol
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
New dart would of obviously win
ThaN-wordhigh Marcus! First of all, as a Black man, I'm appalled that you proudly sport the N-word in your name! You're a disservice and an embarrassment to Blacks and everyone by thinking like that and bringing that garbage on this social media website! We appreciate if you use that lowlife ghetto N-word conversation to yourself when you look in the mirror and talk to only person dumb enough to listen to your dumb-ass! Smh! Just like your name, bro you must be high! Now, back to the comment on the Dart. I know you got to be joking! Lol! The new Dart competes with the Civic, Chevy Cruze...Grandma's Hyper hatch-back. Lol! It only puts out 184 Hp.! DAMN, move over Dodge Demon! LOL! 1970 Dart does 0 to 60 in 6.1 sec, while the new Dart time is 8.4 sec. This is one time I'll take the old school one over the youngster! Lol!
@ARR9994Prov early 1970s Chevy Camaro
@Light 1973 Chevrolet Camaro.
That Mustang Cobra Jet vs. that blue Old School Mustang that hit 8.86. Two of the fastest I've seen so far on the drag strip. Love em both.
I raced that park for over ten years.... brings back old memories I can almost smell it😎
keep up the content man. I love seeing old school vs new school. I'm 17 and I'm all about old school

Many Thanks Man
Finally a channel where they put a camera at the finish line so you actually know who wins.
Came for the ‘Cuda - Demon showdown stayed til the end. Great video quality!
1:04 the only reason why I loved this video
Old school will always look better
and be better
@@thermidorlevrai65 I agree, I think the person who video recorded this video favors new cars and only recorded the new cars that won, or had better times. half of the old muscle cars that had bad times weren't running worth a shit. they were missing, spitting, and sputtering, back firing. Im 50 years of age, i was around when street racing was at it's peek, alot of the guys i knew that had hot rods then, had cars that were doing 8s and 9s in a quarter mile. and these guys were back yard mechanics. most of the old classic cars in this vid were barley doing 11s. I think it's all in how good of a mechanic you are and how well you can build and tune your car. it's not the fact it's new or old.
No boo you got it wrong
@@hoodrichbadbootylicious4684 your young as fuck
Exception being the Wide body Challenger. They look bad ass!
Them Demons are dope as hell 🔥
Be better if the would hook enough to control on the street or if there was a class they fit in at the dragstrip. Sure it would be fun to take to the strip for test n tune and just grudge run people. Doesn’t seem to roll race well. Weighs over a couple of tons.. just doesn’t make sense to me. I appreciate the tech and mad power though
Cuda mess up his start but still came from behind and made a mess of that new Canadian made Demon!
@Rick w Canada is America
It takes HEMI to Catch HEMI.

That new Ford Cobra Jet is fast as heck !! Wow !! 8's from the factory!!
not street legal. Like the challenger drag pack and the camaro capo
And? The dragpak challenger dipped into the 7’s this year winning it all
It is a drag pack, and the challenger broke all the records this year.
What negativity. Just stating a fact. Love all three cars. You found negativity because your a jackass.

Absolutely it started off the line late and caught up fast yea that thing impressed me
7:50 that guy knows how you handle a Demon
Can’t beat old muscle 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Not at all those old school looks beast
The R8 did
Unless you put them on a circuit lol.
Love old muscle. They have the clean slick lines that just makes you look and admire the art of their design.. Too bad Detroit cant build cars like that now!!
.
It's the simplicity in the design rather than all the plastic hanging off the front that sets them apart. But that's today's style and it really is a shame.
8:57, ok my grandma waiting on a traffic light and looking intersection is clear. ok I am good to go now.
😀😀
Why is there a Audi R8 there??? 😭😂😂😂😂
Joshua Zamora it’ll smoke every car there
Theo A Thats definitely not true but cool story bro
Somebody left the gate open. I'll track him down and have some words.
Great video....here in Charlottetown we lost our race tracks, now we have to go to NB sux
I laughed so hard when that R8 came on, beautiful car though but obviosly no contest
Respect to mopar!! 💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥
You gotta love a guy who reps the 80s Olds.
Olds are amazing. Too bad they quit making them. Good cars.
@Papa Toe wack
And to think the Olds were the pinnacle of style in the 80s
The squeaks the shaking the guzzling the noise can't beat old muscle
As old as I'am I love car racing...and especially the grawl of a mustang...love the mustang...whoever came up with that name for a car hit the nail on the head.
That red Dart wasn't playin any games
He jumped early
The hellcat was slipping
I agree
Classic Ride Society shit u mean the white mustang...it looked like it was on fast forward

My god, what does that red Duster/Dart have in it?!
The slingshot at the end tho 👀
What's up with the 3rd race with the green challenger? What is it? A Scat Pack? A Hellcat? I can't tell what the side badge is.
I like the old cars a lot better. I just think they look and run a lot better.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BETTER COMPARISON VIDEOS!
Both of those mopars are beautiful but come on that cuda is the most beautiful car ever designed
that classic charger lookin so god damn good. 3:30 the most manlyiest sound u will ever hear in your life.
The best thing about old school 130 mph feels like 200
That green baracuda was getting the job done bro.!!
Yea. I wonder what he had in that thing. It smoked it.
GREAT VIDEO!!!!
GREAT SPORT & MUSCLE!!!!
That Hellcat looks MEAN AS HELL! That Old School… 👌🏽✨⭐️✨✅
old school all day everyday
*That Pontiac Trans Am is Serious Business.* This time it is an instance to be nervous when you see how many stickers a car has depicting all of its kills (wins) it did. :P
That Cuda is a beast
Lets all just take a second and go back to 6:20... OMFG that Cobra Jet is a FUCKING ROCKET!!!!
I had a 1970 challenger 383/383 hp out of the factory juiced it up a little. Had an extremely power run on the track. Wouldn't ever give the feel and the sound up.
the last orange one was awesome
He gave my dude a head start and still won 😅😂🤣
Girl in the purple Mustang must have made a wrong turn on the way to the store. :D
Don’t you got a pen to go play in pig
Nice cars, good match ups. Cool vijeo. Yeah...vijeo. lol
That cobra jet tho. Everything else are bricks on wheels. It ran 6.7 at 154mph.
So this isn't old factory stock vs new factory stock? Better comparison to me to see the true difference if any.
just here I know right like the new demon would honestly smoke the original if they were both purely stock
@@papawilly5213 no shit lol
Technically the Hellcat isn't stock
So dumb lol obviously the new would smoke. They have all that new shit in to optimise engine performance where as old engines were not as advanced
I know the new ones will be faster. Just would like to see by how much at a drag strip. Not by numbers on paper.
That mustang is scary 11:30 That camaro could not have asked for a better start. Wow! For that jet.
Must have have been a handicap race. The green lights don't always come on at the same time. Can't see the Mustang's light, but the time was quicker on the Mustang which tells me that it's light came on after the Camaro left.
@@hedunlap yes, I'm thinking the same thing, wasn't it great?! That's why I said it was scary.......
That first race put me in absolute shock
Liked for no Datsun GTR being in the video even though it would be fun to read the excuses if one had lost to a 50 year old American car.
Taught the cobra jet stalled but was just a 10 minute head start.
Steph Menard that shit was gone !!
Yeah new muscle may be faster, but nothing beats the sound of a 68'-71' Mopar idling. Dem Camsssss. I'm 26. But the best car scene still is Bullitt. That seat belt clicking sound in that 68' charger made it cool to wear your seat belt.
Nothing will beat the sound of a old V8 engine
Old school ate some of those cars lunches... 4 doors on a Charger is sacrilege! Yeah, I said it...
Cause they are modified
New school are stock
No shit bruh
In the words of PassTime; that green cuda sounds healthy
Lithia of the tricities. Awesome to see a 509 car. He or she really needs to learn how to launch that car though.
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣That's not New vs Old! Old use to run 14s back in the day and were champs.
Yeah more like new vs old look with new mods
yeah, technology has improved a lot but i wouldnt call much about them new in comparison with modern cars
So we ain’t gonna talk about 6:20 that mustang 5.0 blew past that Pontiac and he had a head start
That cobra jet spanks
Don’t mess with Dom’s American muscles
Oof for the Audi 😂 2:38
Awesome races and cars on both sides. Props to old school going against $60,000 cars with trac. control and stuff.
Takes a hemi to catch a hemi
Don't believe that myth! 😂
yea, go durango!!! lmao
Demon doesn't have a hemi engine.
@@darrenmcfeaters6683 yes it does lol. Well technically the Hellcat and Demon both arent really hemis but they're still marketed and named that
@Andrew V yeah buddy💪
To be honest, many of the old ones are modified and not stock vs. mostly stock for news ones.
bigpigslapper Oink or the differences of electronic injection versus a carburetor, etc. there are tons of technological differences from old to new, unless the old cars are so modded they dropped in a brand new drivetrain with the computer and all.
Well wouldn't really be fair to run the stock engine against the new ones of today have to even it out
Big deal. Let's run a 1920's against a 1950's, run a 1940's against a 1960's, etc. Technology is always moving forward. To run a Stock 1970 Hemi against a 2018 Hemi is also stupid. Apples and Oranges.
@bigpigslapper Oink Not necessarily. According to what I've found, a stock 1970 Hemi Cuda, 4 spd, 13.10 @ 107mph. A stock 2017 Challenger with 6.4 Hemi (Nat. Aspirated) and 6 spd, 12.6 @ 114. The numbers are close enough so no, there would not be a "spanking." As for "throwing on a supercharger", you are not going to get 840 hp (Demon) out of a 1970 Hemi by just throwing on a supercharger.
Modern N/A engines have the potential to make a lot more power than old ones did. Variable valve timing and lift, computer controlled electronic injection, and modern materials and machining makes it really not even close. The reason it even kind of looks competitive is because the modern engines are much more concerned with drivability, emissions, and fuel economy than the top end motors from the 70s, but if you look at what the really high end modern stuff puts out, it really isn't even close. Even modern carbureted motors are making way more than the old ones thanks to a better understanding of airflow and combustion dynamics and better materials and tolerances. For an extreme example, look how much top fuel dragsters have improved over the past couple decades despite still basically running motors based on the old 426 design.
(That having been said, the old stuff looks way cooler than the modern cars. Shame we can't have those shapes back with modern safety regulations)
While I applaud Detroit for finally making some modern muscle cars, there is no sound like a open headers, lumpy cam, old muscle car in my humble opinion!!!
I dont care what anyone says. No EV could ever make me this happy
4:38 that was a surprise looool awesome
This made my snowie day
The deep throaty growl of old school and that high percision whine of new school. I appreciate what goes into both, Thats why i love both of them.
Old school any day!
Great video
Old school muscle is undeniable but fact remains modification plays huge factor in winner of drag along with driver !
Really love the cuda
Amazing Beautiful Sweet Cars Just Luv the Cuda👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😆
That Jet Mustang holy shittt
Cool video.....& clear
I like hotrods and street rods I think they are pretty cool
So nobody's going to talk about the cobra jet catching that camero like that?
Here's the thing, and I'm saying this as an old man whose first car was a muscle car 50 years ago, a guy could work stocking shelves at his local grocery store and afford one. New muscle ownership requires a successful 20 year career on Wall Street before you can afford one and by then you ain't got the reflexes to handle one.
Love mopar. Nothing else is so beautiful. Cant wait to get my charger ready for races this year
Those new transmissions make a huge difference here.

old school were you buy your own car and buy and install the parts to make it go faster and if it breaks at the track you fix it on the spot.
