Street Fighter 6 - Capcom ID Not Working *UPDATE*

- UPDATE i thought i still had my capcom ID updated. i tried to login and kept saying error. SO I had to go to the capcom website and RE-REGISTER my account setup up like it was brand new and link my PSN ID to capcom ID and I was able to login. hope this works for everyone else

I cant play the game period. Not even a regular fight.
So I deleted my Capcom ID and made a new one, but when I try to log in, even though I typed everything right, it won't work, and eventually it got blocked. This is just so fucking stupid. They might as well just remove the Capcom ID if all it does is cause problems.
My street fighter 6 is doing the same thing. I logged in and verified my capcom id is registered to psn (which it is) and the game still won’t allow me to log in. 😡
did you try to just register a brand new ID? mine saw my old one but started fresh and it worked.

@@dieyowai for some reason mine expired last year when they migrated..so I went to capcom website and used my current email like before and it registered as if new.. was weird

I still cannot get mines to work on the Fighting Ground screen. I dont like Capcom now ! It says on the screen that , add-on content cannot be FOUNDED. And my Capcom ID is already linked to my Playstation Network!

can you try to even try to register with new ID or use your same email address then try linking back to Xbox? then it let me in when I did it.

Anyway I’m done raging. Here’s the fix.
Step 1. Delete your Capcom ID
Step 2. Log into the Capcom ID website ON YOUR PC OR LAPTOP!!!!
Step 3. Create or recreate your account and feel free to use the same email you’ve been using.
Step 4. Link External Account now.
If this doesn’t work:
Step 1. Delete your Capcom ID on your LAPTOP OR PC!!!!
Step 2. Clear browser history from your laptop or PCs browser.
Step 3. Create or recreate your account and feel free to use the same email you’ve been using.
Step 4. Link external account now.
The problem was I wasn’t using a laptop or pc and that I don’t clear my cookies on my retries to link my account.
If it works send my boy a thank you for the suggestion on XBL and add him on SF6 “Jammer Hammer” or add me “Xcaluhbration”.

Yea. Same goes to me, too. I have currently have 2 Microsoft account. One of them I can't linked my Xbox account due to the Capcom ID problem.
having same issue, I'm just giving up on this. my patience is running out, I'm very close to through the game disc out the window.
I'm having the same issue with my xbox and it's a nightmare because I think what the problem is, is that the email to my account is an email that no longer exists so I can't access it in order to verify my Capcom ID. I'm just so fed up with this, it should not be this complicated to play a video game! The whole process should just be, you bought the game, you play it, that's it! That's all it has to be! I don't want a capcom ID, I just want to play with my friends!

Am having the same issue, I cannot link my PS5 account to my Capcom ID, I keep getting a error saying my PS5 is already linked to another account but it's not, And I cannot even play online, And I cannot get intouch with Capcom customer service, I paid $85.00 dollars for nothing
tyr opening a private/incognito window and fi you have a laptop see if you can login that way and if you can link your PSN account.

Nope. Not for me, either. You see, someone deleted my Capcom ID account that was linked to my Xbox Account. So, i made a new one and try to link it as normal, but then they say "That your account was already exsited with my Xbox account." So yea, basically i cant play some online matches.
I tried to find some methods for it, but nothing i could find. My only option was to go to Capcom ID themselves and wrote what was wrong with your account.
I know alot others are having that same issues, but i was wondering if there's a way.

I got the same problem I try to make a new ID and it still don’t let me i try to log in with my pc and somehow it don’t let me link but on my phone it let me link but the link still don’t help to get this fix
so if you are on computer and you try to register on Capcom website to create ID verify it then link to your video game console? nothing?

My Capcom ID wont even link up with my playstation because i deactivated it and unlinked it when the closed beta was happening

Oh fuck.. so I had an email that said your capcom ID will expire last year so I think that’s what it was.. so had to re register and I’m good now

So I had to go to the capcom website and make a new ID.. smh then it worked fine. So try that!

@@Null834 oh wdf thats weird.. I had mine linked in my email from years of Capcom games so I just went to register at the capcom website and I linked it to my PSN and it worked.

@@tokyo5441 1. So after much frustration I went to the capcom website from the code, 2. I linked the playstation with the Capcom barcode thing, 3. I had to change my Email I have been using for the last 7 years to a new one..because they have to match because you have to verify a code that gets sent to the email in the Playstation email. I think that is the key is that the emails have to match.
I have the same with ps4 on sf6!
Have you tried to re register your account and do it on a computer vs mobile?
I got a phone. I might try that.

This Capcom ID junk is pointless ! It’s unnecessary! I can’t even link at all because it says my “account is already linked to an external account “ and just like everyone else , Capcom Support is silent. If they ARE working on it , at least let us KNOW Capcom. Jeez. Put a brief and basic announcement up on your website or something. This is just ridiculous. I can’t play at all online here. SMH
