    Thanks for this video! My HR-S2911U had the same fate as yours after a power outage 15yrs ago. After watching your video I decided to dig it out of the garage. I replaced the mosfet and the zenor and it came out of it's coma! (the diode was fine) $2.00USD for the mosfet and 100 zenors from aliexpress and it lives again! 👍

    hi i never leave vcr unit's plug in at the main main thing power cost here in the uk are very high i have a mate like you video's decks in alot of the rooms
    i never leave my betacam sp deck on when i am not using them cost of living has hit alot in the uk now it's very bad still
    love to watch video's like this so i can work on mates decks

    Great video everything proven vhs tapes don't stop playing at all it's the VCR player itself what causes problem's

    Could I potentially send you a power supply out of a Japanese jvc w-vhs vcr? If you do repairs that is. I have the clicking psu problem, and it persists after I replaced a few capacitors and unplugged the psu output cables in order to isolate the psu from the rest of the unit. Click click when powered, then click click again when powered off. No display.
