I also rode up Helvellyn on a non e-bike which you have to do from the Keswick end on the old coach road and go over about 4 peaks prior to getting to the top of Helvellyn. Great feeling once you achieve it.
Having walked Skiddaw I take my hat off to you doing that decent like you did. It is so bloody steep it's not fun to walk down let alone cycle. Even on the path back to Keswick I admire your pace. Great video.
That bit from 14.11 to 15.08 is so so steep. I tried going up it and only reached the first gate then had to descend and the bike just skidded it was that steep. I have no idea how you done that, it doesn't even look steep on the video. I walked it a month later & it was even hard walking up that steep section. Well done.
what size motor do you have on that ebike? if it 250watt, then im not surprised you had to walk your bike up. I am now wondering if my Engwe engine pro 2.0 might do it with 1200watt peak power and 75nm of torque, I know its not legal on the road but it would be there, great video and views were stunning.
Yes a great way, well I think it is from Skiddaw House, ride from dash falls or lattrig ride round the North side to Skiddaw House, then straight up, between little man and Skiddaw turn right to the top . You will need an ebike well I did 😊
Yes mate I had 50% left. I wasn’t sure how much it would use so I rode to the start of the climb with 20% assist. The bike was amazing. I only realised when i got back that turbo was set at 80% so I meet to go back and see if I can get the past the toughest bits with full power
I do ride quite a lot of footpaths especially around where I live in the Yorkshire wolds. I think if you always give way to walkers and stay polite there isn’t a problem.
Yes and helvellyn and blencathra and grisdale pike and whiteless pike and lord s seat to barth you want any more all on 2016 diamond back corax with a 400wh battery
I’ve done skiddaw twice to the top before e-bikes existed. Great ride up and down even better. 😂😂😂

Good job mate,,, its picking your lines a think and keeping traction on the loose scree💪😉🇬🇧👊
Cheers dude, give a lot more riding I recon I can do it now. I’m gona try again in spring👍
Great video. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Think I will take my Levo up there this year. You have a new sub. Cheers. Stoozer. 🤠
Looks like a great ride that I could do, probably wait until spring
Went up and down on a “manual” bike in 2003…I was fitter back then tho. Went through a set of V brake pads coming down!!

It's possible. I did it this week on Bosch motor. Have to use Turbo on that steep section with seat dropped.
Keep up the good work and you'll definitely be able to ride the whole way to the top.
I’m going to try again this spring. I have a lot more miles under my belt now so fingers crossed.🤞
Espectacular salida en MTB, enhorabuena 👏👍
That climb is definitely doable on a e bike in turbo with good psi in tyres. It would take some lungs though 😂
Definitely possible....done it several times now!! Good video tho 👍
It’s definitely possible as I’ve ridden it on a normal mtb with mates on ebikes.
Beautiful trail.

I was told that you were not allowed to cycle on footpaths in the National Park only on bridle ways.
Am l correct l was told it was to avoid damage ?
You should only ride bridle ways in the lakes as the footpaths get too busy. There are tones of bridle ways though so enjoy
Great stuff!
nice ride, cannot access the route in strava though?
I’m sorry about that. I just had a look and I can open the route from the Strava link
@@pauledgar1207 I suspect you have privacy settings on. Never mind.
No, the question is “can I ride an eBike up Skiddaw” 😀
Great video. Defo doing that ride when get my bike. Did you have much power left?
Yes mate I had 50% left. I wasn’t sure how much it would use so I rode to the start of the climb with 20% assist. The bike was amazing. I only realised when i got back that turbo was set at 80% so I meet to go back and see if I can get the past the toughest bits with full power
40% when I got back but it’s not a long ride and I had max assist at 80%
Cool looks good. How many miles, climb etc. Gpx file? How much battery/mode used?
It was 20 miles with 4000ft of climb and I had 40% battery left. I’ll add the God tomorrow 👍
gpx added 👍
Is the levo an SL?
I can ride up Skiddaw without having to walk any of if. Standard Turbo Levo. Skiddaw one of the easier mountains in the Lake District to ride up
It is possible mate I can get up to where you started pushing on a normal bike. Its hard graft but possible.
ANDIY ok if you say so
I don't have any videos going up up but it is certainly possible if I get a chance on an ebike I'll post a video
@@ANDIY-Ltd I can fly. I’ll prove it one day with a video
was you in turbo mode
On the day I thought I was but I later realised I was on 80% max assist
@@itsfredlife do you have walk assist
You cannot ride on footpaths only bridleways, green lanes or tracks where vehicles are permitted.
You can ride footpaths with the land owner’s permission.
It’s not a footpath so no problem

@@itsfredlife By law you must give way to pedestrians & horse riders.
@@jonathanlake6053 walkers aren’t a problem but walkers with dogs are usually an issue
I can definitely get up there with my motor bafang bbshd blows all other ebikes out of the water
I can definitely get to the moon. Oh wait now I have to prove it!!!
