I love how straightforward and modular these designs are! I'm usually intimidated by redstone automation but even I can see how I might chain things together or fit them in my usually compact bases! The wool farm does not work in bedrock as of 01/10/2023. However, it is an east fix. The video says you need 7 redstone (00:00:28). Instead, when you go to place the seven redstone in an H shape, place a total of 9 redstone all on the top of the 3 by 3 area where the H-shaped redstone went (00:03:06). This will make the farm work. Hope that helps anyone who experienced the same problem that I experienced.

Works for me, even with the H-shape. 4.2.2023 (D.M.YYYY) Minecraft Bedrock on an ios device. What doesn't work for me is the stone generator. Sometimes lava flows down quicker than the water comes from the side, which breaks it.

This is what I was wanting to do. A combo of the bamboo farm and smelting farm, with the bamboo farm feeding the furnaces automatically. Also, instead of just a circle around, I'd like it to go straight and come to a place that I can stop it when I want to load it.
This is on a realm and will be the 'smelting hub' for everyone, so I'd like to make it easy to use and explain through signs so others know how to use it.
Right now we have a central area where most of the food goes but it's all manual. We have a pins of cows, pigs, sheep, chickens. We go breed a bunch, kill a bunch, load up a bunch of coal manually, etc then come back and get it.
I'd like people to just be able to bring whatever they have, stone, food, etc, throw it in a cart, flip a lever and come back in a couple minutes and collect it all from a different chest.

When using hopper minecarts, I prefer to simply stack as many motionless ones on the rail space as I need to pass items into a hopper chain. It eliminates noise and reduces redstone cost, at the expense of increased iron consumption. Not a problem since golems can be easily and rapidly farmed.

As this question rose up for the smelt machine: you can attach a lever or another form of redstone signal to the hoppers under the furnaces, power the hopper on, to be able to collect at least one smelted item directly from the furnace and as a result get the XP you'd normally get from smelting.
This makes it a nice XP storage as all the smelting XP gets accumulated until you collect it this way.
When done with xp gathering don't forget to power off the hoppers again so that the item chain works again correctly.
Also, beware that usual furnaces smelt ores and meat slower than their respective specialized furnace (blast furnace and smoker), BUT, they give you more xp. it's a toss up you'll have to make:
    Speed vs. XP rewards.
Eye, really nice videos you do by the way, keep it up!

Hello, just on the sugarcane farm should the observers actually be above all 4 sugarcanes because I am finding that the 2 without observers are growing to full height and aren't being farmed by the pistons?
    Have I missed something?

The Stone / Cobble generator is new to me and the best out there. Not so sure about the Micro Sugar Cane farm (possibly in another video). Still, your videos are good, as well as your concepts.

if you're playing 1.19+ you can use in the auto-smelter boat with a chest to smelt nine items at the same time and save some iron. But very good video.

great video, thank you. One question, how do you get the sheep into the wool farm?

    • @redstoneddad3981
      @redstoneddad3981 2 роки тому +1

@large7500 hold a piece of wheat in your hand and have a staircase leading up to the farm, sheep will follow you if you are holding the wheat and you lead them to the top of the farm and then while crouching (so you don't fall in yourself) circle behind the sheep and push it in the hole, then repeat until all holes have sheep in them 😉

Could the bamboo/sugarcane farm be modified into a kelp one Just by adding water on each crop cube, or would it break anything on the contraption?

The farms are quite light, both in resources and space, making them almost on-the-go; easy farms to build if I want to explore different parts of the world but don't want to stripmine the land for base building.
On that note, I know that Bamboo and Wool can be used as fuel for burner-type blocks (Furnaces, Blast Furnaces, Smokers), but is there a viable way to make a fuel-type farm connecting to a burner-type farm?

You can do the super smelter but just place a chest boat on top in the middle and all 8 hoppers should be able to take from it equally

I found that the wool farm is a lot less noisy if you set an observer to point at the grass under the sheep to activate the dispenser. It ends up firing only twice for each time it needs (once for the grass growing and again for the sheep eating the grass) to instead of constantly.

If you want a fish farm, you're better off taking the time to do a cheap guardian farm, as the time it takes to afk this fish farm, and get anything I need worthwhile, is better off used to produce a guardian farm that drops more fish all day long while I do other stuff.
    Imo

The fish farm my not be a good one for like the super good loot we want but it’s also still good for fish, and EXP farm also if you don’t want to spend the whole time fishing controlling it. But love all the designs man I’ll make sure to add them in my worlds!
