Swathing canola with the John Deere 2360 swather recently. This was the DeKalb canola. I have since figured out the fuel problem on the swather. A badly plugged screen in the sediment bowl.
Finished swathing and combining barley a few days ago and finished swathing my last field of canola last night. My wheat and oats are about ready to be swathed but we are apparently supposed to have a rain event up here tomorrow so will probably hold off for the day. Flax will be a little while yet I think. Darn near had a frost two nights ago. Heard spots further north like Meadow/Loon Lake got it some. The missus and kids were worrying about the garden but no damage.
cool nights here but no frost either. I'm down to my last bit of swathing. A field of oats and with the forecast of rain tomorrow I'm kind of stalling on swathing it.
Was going to start the oats tomorrow but found a leaking hose on the reel drive late this afternoon so I have to try and borrow one somewhere. Breakdowns on a long weekend never good.
Just found your channel, enjoy them. Looking forward to the rest of the harvest.
Welcome aboard. Hoping to have some new harvest video some time this fall.
Thanks for the ride along!

@@roosty6 always nice to find issues when you really don't want to...
Interesting most people round here plant DeKalb corn and asgrow beans
I'm glad your swathing we just started today and thanks for the video
We started on Thursday on canola and were done cutting ours did some barley
Well good for you, I guess you could be doing a 1/4 acre with a pair of scissors or 10,000 ac with 50 swathers, lol, but good for you
Running both swathers I bet.
Yep
Yeah the lift pump should have a flat gauze filter in it, it looks the type anyhow. They do get pretty mucked up. Happy cutting!! 👍
I found the filter screen in the sediment bowl almost completely blocked so I think that was the problem.
Is this the first season you're using the roller? How's it working for you?
I've used the roller over 20 years now and it does it's job pushing the swaths down.
@@roosty6 Well, shows how much I know. Thought that was recent technology. Lol! Glad to hear it works for you. Regards!
Thanks for the video
Interesting video to see you swathing the rape how long do you leave it before you combine it thanks for the upload
Hard to say but I"d guess at least a couple of weeks before I try it with the combine.
nice looking crop. :) give her hell.. lol
